Mother's Day

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning, Evan slept in a bit later. He came in our room after 8am. Noah was up by 8:30 or 8:45. I took them downstairs so Rachel could sleep in on Mother's Day. I got them breakfast and put on the Scooby-Doo marathon on Cartoon Network for them.

When Rachel came downstairs, we realized we couldn't go swimming or biking because it was raining. We decided to go to CVS. They were having some sales on things and we needed a bunch of stuff. When you use your CVS card, you can get CVS bucks that can be used towards another purchase. Rachel made us organize the items into two groups - all the ones that got us CVS bucks and the ones that didn't. Then we had to check out twice. Each of the CVS bucks prints out as a separate coupon. The checkout guy said we had some kind of record. The strip that printed out seemed to be about 6 feet long (I don't think I'm exaggerating). After we got all those coupons, then we checked out with the second group. Rachel was very proud of herself because that second group, which consisted of 11 items, cost us 86 cents. Not 86 cents plus tax - a grand total of 86 cents.

When we got home, I made pancakes (Evan asked for them) and we ate brunch out on the porch upstairs.

For Mother's Day I booked Rachel an appointment for a massage and facial. She's been through a lot and deserved a nice relaxing pampered day. She left after brunch and I cleaned up and put Noah down for a nap.

For dinner, we went to Phara's which is a Middle Eastern restaurant. The food was good. We sat outside in a covered gazebo. It was really neat. The service was pretty slow but overall it was a very nice time.

We came home and got the boys ready for bed.

Evan is really annoying me now as he's crying at the top of the steps saying he's scared of his room. This is not real, he's just trying to get attention.
