Hello everyone, this is Morry.
This morning started off very late as Noah gave us a hard time going to school. While the kids were not late for school, it threw off our timing. By the time we got home, we had to rush to make Camp Gladiator. Just as we were about to leave, Aaron messaged me and needed my help with something so I didn't end up going. Rachel went on her own, though she got there late.
After Camp Gladiator, Rachel tutored and then stopped at Costco on the way home to return/exchange our Roomba. Unfortunately, she forgot one thing in the box so they wouldn't take it back. They told her to just find that piece and come back in.
When we left to get the boys from school, Lizzy needed to go out and it took awhile to get her back in so we ended up being a little late to get to school.
I took Evan in to his hitting right after we got back. Rachel left for tutoring and Noah stayed home by himself for a bit.
Rachel stopped at home on the way from tutoring she stopped back at Costco and was able to exchange the Roomba.
For dinner we had leftovers. Papa came over and joined us.
The boys are getting ready for bed now.
Until next time...

Rockies - Game 1
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
Noah seemed very tired when I got him up this morning. In fact, after I got him dressed he wouldn't come downstairs with me. I checked on him a few minutes later and he was sleeping on his floor. Once we got him going he was fine.
Rachel ran to Sam's Club to get cupcakes for Noah's Birthday. We're going to go to his school tomorrow and bring cupcakes for his classmates. He's got a game in the evening and we'll bring cupcakes for his teammates.
I had to run to a quick meeting while Rachel was doing that.
Before Rachel went to tutoring, she found a new Roomba for sale on craigslist. After two years of running daily and sometimes multiple times per day, our Roomba broke down. Rachel met an older gentleman and got a newer model of Roomba.
I picked the boys up from school and we walked home.
Noah's team had their first game tonight. Noah, Evan and I went over to the fields early and I worked with the kids on hitting for warm ups. Noah played very well in the game. In the first inning he really hit the ball hard, right back up the middle into center field. Two runs scored from his hit. I had him as pitcher in the first inning and he fielded several balls though they didn't turn into outs. The next time up, he hit another ball into the outfield and knocked in two more runs. Later in the game he played shortstop and fielded several balls cleanly. It was one of the best games I've seen him play. And the big thing is that he looked like he had fun doing it. Unfortunately, we lost. The team played well though.
One of Evan and Noah's old coaches, Troy, was coaching in the game after us. It was good to see him. Evan and Noah both said hi to him.
We came home had dinners, the boys then had showers and now they are in bed.
Until next time...

Parents Night Out
Hello Everyone, this is Morry.
Last night I dutifully set my alarm to get up to Evan to school in the morning. I woke up this morning and it was still dark so I rolled over to make sure that I had my alarm set. I did, so I rolled back over. Then it hit me, what time did that say? Well I had never changed the time for my alarm back to what it needed to be now that school is back on. It was 24 minutes after I normally get up. I jumped up, got dressed and woke Evan up. He was very tired. He's been staying up late during the break so I think two straight mornings of getting up early got to him.
Evan said he wanted to walk to school. To get there on time, he was going to need to run like he did for Rachel yesterday. The only problem was that he was moving very slowly and not running. Evan is very competitive so I had to challenge him to a race. The two of us ran more than half of the way and we got to school on time.
When I got home, Noah was up. I got some breakfast for him. Rachel took him to school.
Rachel went for a run after dropping Noah off at school . Then she made a run to Sam's Club run. While there, she got a Roomba. The flooring people recommended that since the hardwood shows more dirt. They suggested just letting it run once a day or so. It seemed to pick things up well.
Noah stayed home while Rachel went to get Evan. He said he was tired.
When Evan got home, he thought the Roomba was really cool. He came up to tell me to look at it.
Tonight, we had planned a double date with our friends Will and Bradford. We had signed Evan and Noah up for a Parents' Night Out at the Little Gym. We dropped them off at 6:30 and met Will and Bradford at Z'Tejas downtown. We sat outside because it was in the 70s today. It was a beautiful night. The food was good. After that we walked to a bar called the Kung Fu Saloon. They have all these old arcade games there and free Skeeball. Will and I played some video games and played foosball as well.
We picked the boys up and are getting them ready for bed.
