Quick...

This is just a quick post.  Morry is working on my computer.  I have been having some problems with it and it wouldn't even start today.  I'm using one of Morry's computers to write tonight's blog.

At Noah's sports class today, they had the end of year ceremony.  The kids showed the parents what they have been working on all year.  Noah got a trophy (a Little Gym ball).  I took video and pictures, but I can't upload it right now.  I'll try to get it up tomorrow.

After sports class Evan and Noah played on the playground in the shopping center for a while.  On the way home we got gas and the Sonic Slushes.

Evan's asleep, but Noah's still up.

Well Check Up

Today Noah and I went to HEB.  I put the groceries away and then we went to sports class.  His class was small today for some reason.  There was only one other kid in the class.  Noah had fun playing tennis in there.

We drove to get Evan since we had a doctors appointment for the boys.  It was for their well check-up.  We got Evan and put his bike in the car and headed over to the doctor's.

Evan is 46.75 inches (75%) and 51lbs (75-90%).  Noah is 39.75 inches (50%) and 37 lbs (50-75%).  Noah had to get 3 shots today, but did very well.  When he found out he was getting shots, I told him we'd pick up Sonic slushes on the way home.  That made him happy.

We got our slushes and then came home.  Morry quickly got Evan dressed for baseball and then went to the baseball game.  Then, I took Noah to his Karate class.

Evan's team had a pizza party after the game.  Evan ate 5 pieces of pizza, but Morry didn't have any.

When they got home Morry, Noah, and I ate.

We just got the boys ready for bed, but Noah's throwing a fit in the bathroom.

Wearing the boys out

We went to Locomotion today and the boys both ran around a lot. They had a good time.

After Locomotion we all got Slushes at Sonic.

At home we took it easy and then got ready for an early dinner. We made reservations for Trattoria Lisina in Driftwood.

We got there at 5:30, had a nice dinner, and then played outside. Evan played Bocce Ball with some other older boys. Noah ran around. The boys also enjoyed throwing coins into the fountain.

Here are some pictures from today.

Playdate

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning, everyone slept in a bit. Both boys took a long time to go to sleep last night. In fact, Noah and I had it out. He was being really bad. He ended up falling asleep at his gate. When I went to move him to his bed, he had pulled the comforter and his top sheet off the bed. He had thrown toys out into the hallway. His room was a disaster. He just works himself up when he gets upset.

When we got up, we got breakfast for the boys. Then, Rachel took Evan and Noah to Evan's friend, Ben's, house. His mom had invited Evan over to play and said that Noah was welcome to join. I stayed home to go through papers and things. Ben has an 8 year old sister and apparently, she was leading the group of four with activities. They also had a trampoline in the backyard with netting around the sides. The boys just loved that.

Eventually, Rachel and Noah left to go to HEB to get some things for dinner and dessert. Evan stayed with Ben and had lunch over there. This was his first time basically being dropped off at a friend's house.

Rachel came home and got me and we all went over to pick Evan up. Evan didn't want to leave and was very angry when we got him.

We had to run a few errands - we picked up some movies from Red Box, got gas, and stopped for slushes at Sonic.

For dinner, we had homemade pizzas. I got dough and sauce ready for a pizza for Evan and Noah. Then they put the cheese on the pizza and put what they wanted on their own half of the pizza. Noah chose pepperoni and Evan chose black olives and pepperoni.

For dessert, Rachel got waffle bowls and ice cream and a bunch of different toppings - including sprinkles, marshmallows, gummy worms, Oreos, sour gummy Lifesavers, M&Ms (we had those already), and candy corn (again, we already had these). I scooped the ice cream and the boys were allowed to add stuff to their ice cream. They really enjoyed it. It was like those new frozen yogurt places that charge you by weight.

The kids just had baths and we are letting them lay down in our bed and watch a movie. We have hicks in our neighborhood who set off fireworks and we know that, not only because of the amount of sugar from dessert, but the fireworks will keep the kids up. So we're making it a special treat.

Until next time...
