Lots of Little Things

I got lots of little things done today. It was a busy day.

Noah did sports class and had a lot of fun. He really listens well to the teacher and participates. They were learning about golf again today.

Evan had a good day at school and played with his friend Miles while I talked to his mom for a little bit. Evan and Miles were running around behind the school, throwing leaves at each other.

Today was Morry's last day of work.

The boys were very excited when he came home because he had a box of goodies. Morry brought home all of his toys and decorations from his cubicle. The boys finished Morry's bag of shelled peanuts and played with a lot of the toys.

For dinner we had leftover stuffed peppers.

While we cleaned up Noah and Evan played outside.

Pretty soon we'll get the boys ready for bed.

Parent-Teacher Conference for Evan

This morning Morry was able to walk Evan to school. Noah woke up at 7:15am as they were leaving. That's early for him.

After I dropped off Noah at school I drove to Round Rock for a hair appointment. I got a Brazilian Blowout from a place I have been to before. They had a LivingSocial Coupon a while ago.

I got home a little after noon and started getting dinner ready (stuffed peppers). Then I needed to pick up Noah.

When we got home I finished getting the peppers ready and then it was time to get Evan from school.

After school we met with Evan's teacher for a parent-teacher conference. Evan is doing very well. He's friendly and social at school and got high scores on a standard test for kindergarteners.

We were home for just a few minutes. I quickly got ready for tutoring.

Gabby came over and I left.

I got home around 6:30 and we had dinner.

The boys are in bed now.

Morry was feeling a lot better today. He worked a full day. He's still not back to normal, but doing lots better.

I just wished Jordan Kaplan a Happy Birthday on Facebook. Happy Jordan?

Still Sick Morry

Morry spent most of the morning in bed and then went into work. He didn't last long there. He really wasn't feeling well and came back home.

This morning Noah and I went to the police station. Susan G Komen Austin was having an event there and I offered to volunteer. They said it was fine to bring Noah with me. He got a lot of attention. One of the police officers gave a police badge sticker for both him and Evan (who was at school).

At home Noah helped me make a smoothie.

We picked up Evan at school and Kim came over at 3:45. She stayed until 6pm while I tutored. There was a little bit of time when it was just Morry and the kids before I was able to get home.

I picked up McDonalds for the boys on my way home. Morry still hasn't really eaten anything in the last 2 days.

I just got the boys ready for bed. Morry is reading to Evan now.

Sick Morry

This morning Morry woke me up around 6am to tell me he wasn't feeling well and wouldn't be able to walk Evan to school. I got Evan up and dressed and we walked to school. Once he was truly awake he was in a good mood.

I went for a 3 mile run and when I got back both Morry and Noah were still sleeping.

I got Noah ready for school and dropped him off.

I was home for a few minutes and then left for a meeting for MB Squared stuff. The meeting lasted until it was time to pick up Noah from school.

I got Noah and came home.

By this point Morry was really feeling awful. He had a horrible headache and a slight fever. He needed to see a doctor. Our usual doctors office only had after hours times available starting at 7:15 pm. They offered us a sooner appointment at the Kyle office (about 30 minutes away) and we took the 3:30 appointment.

We all got in the car and drove to Evan's school. Morry stayed in the car while Noah and I picked up Evan.

We made the drive to Kyle.

Morry was in the doctors office for about an hour. I was trying to entertain the kids in the waiting room, outside, and in the car. Finally they called us to come in and see and Morry. They had given him 2 heavy duty shots (Demerol and Phenergen) and he was pretty woozy. We had to wait about 30 minutes to make sure he didn't have a reaction. Then, they wheeled Morry to the car.

Morry has pretty much been laying on the couch ever since we got home. I asked him what the doctor said, but he's not sure since he was in so much pain and drugged up. He has two prescriptions to take now for the headache and nausea. I hope he starts feeling better soon.

I was supposed to tutor tonight but canceled two of my students.

Quick Blog Post

I just realized we didn't write the blog yet today.

Evan had a baseball game and he got a home run!

Morry and the boys watched the Steelers game.

Today was my 2 year cancerversary. Two years ago today I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I still have to make the kid's lunches for tomorrow.

We had a nice, busy weekend.

Time to get some sleep now.

Early Start

Evan needed to be at his football game at 8:30am this morning. I got up really early to get in a run before we needed to leave. I met a friend and ran 8 miles this morning.

We all went to Evan's football game. Evan was sort of sluggish today. I think he was tired.

After the game we came home for a little bit. The boys played outside while Morry did some work.

Around 3pm we headed over to the first flooring place to look once more at the two different samples we had picked out. They were both pretty similar. We are waiting for one more big and then will decide which place to go with.

On the way home we got Slurpees from 7-11 and got food for Lizzy.

The boys were pretty cranky and fighting a lot this afternoon. We decided to eat dinner at home and then get ice cream out. We had pasta for dinner and went to Freddy's for frozen custard. The boys were well behaved once they got their custard.

Morry is reading to Evan and Noah now.

Quest for a frozen treat

I had a busy day.

After dropping of Noah I went to my hair appointment. I was supposed to have a meeting afterwards, but it took a long longer than I thought. I'm not sure why. I ended up pushing my meeting to Monday.

I had just a little bit of time before I had to get Noah so I went into Nordstrom to get new Toms shoes.

I picked up Noah from school and he told me he wanted a smoothie. We were going to HEB so I said he could get an ICEE there. At HEB, the cherry ICEE wasn't working and the only other one was Coke flavored. I didn't want to give Noah Coke, so I told him we could get Blizzy's (shaved ice) after picking Evan up. Noah was pretty excited about that.

We picked up Evan and headed over to Blizzy's. It was closed. There was a sign up saying they were closed for the season and would reopen May 2012. The boys were disappointed.

We headed over to another shaved ice place and luckily they were open. Evan and Noah got rainbow flavored shaved ice.

We had a 3:45 birthday party to go to and went there right after we finished the shaved ice.

Morry met us at the party at Locomotion after work.

Morry picked up food for us on the way home and I brought the kids home. Evan was really bad at home. I had to put him in time out in his room. I think he's just overly tired.

We are about to put the boys to bed. We have to get up early for Evan's football game at 9am tomorrow.

Noah's choice

This morning we had someone come to our house to measure the floors. Hopefully we get the bid from them soon.

Morry worked from home today.,

Noah went to Clubhouse for Kids so I could get some stuff done. I told him that he could choose what he wanted to do when I picked him up. He chose to get smoothies and go to the playground.

Then, we had sports class. Noah enjoyed playing golf in class today.

After the class, we walked over to a toy store to look for a birthday present for tomorrow. Noah and Evan are invited to a birthday party tomorrow afternoon. It was a fun toy store. They had different toys than your normally see at Target or Walmart. I let Noah pick out one small toy for him and Evan to share. Of course, he chose Legos.

We had just a few minutes at home and then we left to pick up Evan.

When we got home both boys were pretty cranky and were fighting over the new Lego toy, even though they could have played with it together.

Noah ended up falling asleep at nap time.

While Noah napped Evan and I worked on his Perry scrapbook. Since he brought home Perry (the class stuffed dinosaur) last weekend we were supposed to add a few pages to the scrapbook about what Perry did over the weekend. I did most of the work, but Evan picked out some pictures and decided how I should cut them.

For dinner we had hamburger, salmon, and potatoes.

Tonight was clean up night and boys were fighting and throwing fits. They eventually did clean up.

Evan and Noah are in bed now and it seems to be quiet.

Christmas Book

Both boys did well at school today.

I ran and had an acupuncture appointment while Noah was at school.

Noah and Evan were happy to see each other at Evan's school.

Gabby came over at 4:00 and I tutored.

For dinner we had tacos.

So, Evan's class gets to go to the school library and check out one book. He's gone twice and each time picked out a Christmas book. So, tonight Morry read some Christmas bear book that Evan had picked out. We find it pretty funny that Evan keeps picking out Christmas books to bring home. Well see what he picks out next time.

The boys are ready for bed. Evan is in his room but Noah is here throwing a fit making it very difficult for me to write the blog.

Back to School for Evan

Evan didn't have a fever last night and he seemed much better this morning so he went to school. His teacher said Evan was acting fine today.

Noah and I went to Wonders and Worries and then grocery shopping at Sprouts. Noah had a good time picking out snacks in the bulk section. We got different kids of nuts, dried peas, dried fruit, etc.

Noah ate a lot of that stuff for lunch when we got home.

Evan was happy when we picked him up and was acting normal. He didn't seem sick at all.

Morry took the boys to Evan's football practice and I tutored. Morry gave the boys dinner, but we still haven't eaten yet. There's chicken in the crockpot waiting for us.

The boys have been put the bed. Time to eat dinner.

Sick Evan

This morning Evan came into our room a little before the alarm went off. He wanted his temperature taken. It was 99-something. We asked if he felt like going to school and he said no.

Evan ended up staying at home with me today.

We dropped off Noah at school and then went through the drive through at the bank.

Evan took it easy at home and seemed to be doing ok.

Then, mid afternoon he said he didn't feel well. I took his temperature and it was 101.1. I gave Evan some ibuprofen.

I tutored one student tonight and then came home for dinner.

We had pasta and now we are about to get the boys ready for bed.

Evan is acting like he feels better right now.

We'll see how he does tonight and tomorrow morning. I'm not sure he'll go to school tomorrow. We'll see.

Bike Riding

This morning we were able to sleep in. Evan woke me up and said he wanted to ride bikes with me today.

We practiced on his bike for a little bit. He still needs you to hold on the bike while he rides.

Then, Evan and I went for a bike ride with the attached bikes (my bike and the trailer bike). He said he wanted to ride to the velloway. We went there and back. I was 9 miles. He did very well. We stopped for lots of water breaks and a snack break at one point.

When we got home the Steelers game was on. The boys watched a little with Morry.

Around 4pm Morry and Evan left to go to Evan's tball game. Evan said he didn't want to go because he wasn't feeling well. We thought he was just tired.

Noah and I made cookies and then headed over to the game.

In the middle of the game Evan really didn't feel well so they came home. Noah and I must have gotten to the game right as Evan and Morry were leaving, or we just missed each other.

Noah and I picked up some cat litter from Sam's Club on the way home. I dropped Noah off and then went to tutor one student.

On the way home I picked up Chipotle for Morry and me. We'll eat it in a minute.

Morry gave the boys baths and put them to bed. Evan has a slight fever.

We'll see how he is in the morning.

The Lion King (Post #1000)

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

I just realized this was our 1000th blog post. That's pretty amazing. We've been doing it for a long time.

Back in the summer, Living Social was having a special. I think it was something like $3 for 2 movie tickets from Fandango. Rachel and I each bought the deal. We used one of them back in July. Two weeks ago, we realized that the one Rachel had bought was about to expire. We saw that we could buy tickets in advance, even though the deal would expire before. So we bought tickets to see the Lion King in 3D with the boys today. We had to pay for two of the tickets. Well, when we got to the theater, they told us that Fandango had listed the showing incorrectly and it wasn't in 3D. They said they'd refund us all the money and still let us see the movie. That was fine because we didn't need to see the movie in 3D anyway. The boys had never seen the movie and Evan, in particular, was very excited to see it.

The boys seemed to enjoy it. It was much darker than I had remembered. Noah was kind of whiny in the movie though.

We came home and put Noah down for a nap. Evan laid down in the game room.

At 4pm, we left to go to Matt and Rachael's for Max's first birthday. They served hot dogs and hamburgers. Unfortunately the boys didn't want to eat that at all. They played with Ben and Molly for a long time. Then we had cake. Max put the cake all over his face. Evan thought that was hilarious. He especially liked it when Max decided to dump the plate of cake onto the floor.

We left around 6:30. We thought we'd go home, but the boys were hungry. There's a Japanese Hibachi place near Matt and Rachael's house. We had been talking about going there for a while now. Evan and Noah usually love that. We thought we'd treat them to that on the way home (and we didn't want fast food). They did pretty well, but I think they were pretty tired so they didn't eat well.

We're home now. Evan is sleeping and Noah is throwing a massive fit. It all started because he didn't want to come upstairs.

Until next time..

Kids Night Out

This morning Morry met Evan at school for lunch. Morry decided to surprise him. Evan, of course, was very happy.

Noah's class had friendship day today. They were supposed to wear orange, so Noah picked out his UT shirt to wear today.

Both kids had good days at school. Today Evan brought home Perry, the class dinosaur. Each weekend a different kid brings him home and then adds pages to the scrapbook with pictures and stories of what Perry did that weekend.

At 4pm I brought Evan over to Jack's house for a playdate. They live on the next street over. We picked up Evan at 5:30. He and Jack had a lot of fun. They swam and played inside the house as well.

At 6:30 we dropped off the kids at the Little Gym for Kids Night Out.

Morry and I went to dinner at Gumbo's and then got dessert at Mandola's. Evan and Noah were both pretty tired when we picked them up.

We just got home and they are eating some fruit now. As soon as they finish we'll put them to bed.

Wildflower Center Lunch

This morning around 9am Noah started whining asking when we were going to leave for sports class. Despite me telling him sports class is at 12:30, he kept complaining.

After I got a few things done around the house Noah and I went to the Wildflower Center. I asked Noah where he wanted to go and that was his choice. We walked around and then ate our picnic lunch at one of the tables.

Then, we went to the Little Gym for Noah's sports class. Noah did very well and listened well to the instructor. He had fun.

We were home for just a little bit and then it was time to pick up Evan.

At home the boys played until Blanca came over at 3:45. I tutored one student.

For dinner we had grilled chicken and rice.

Tonight the boys cleaned up and now Morry is reading to them.

Evan's turn for a haircut

This morning I woke up early to run. I got my run in before Morry and Evan left for school. It was a lot easier running when it's not so hot out. But, I'm not sure I liked getting up before 6am. Maybe I'll try that once a week for my longer runs.

Both kids went to school without problems this morning.

I met some moms for lunch at Santa Rita and then met Morry at a flooring store. We got a few samples of hardwood flooring to bring home.

Noah was playing outside when I picked him up from school. He seemed to be having a good time.

At home Noah was acting tired and went in the guest bedroom to watch tv until it was time to get Evan.

My plan was to pick up Evan and then take him to Great Clips for a haircut. He said he would rather me cut his hair at home. So, we went home and I gave him a haircut.

Gabby came at 4pm and I tutored.

For dinner we had hamburgers/veggie burgers and baked potato/sweet potato. Guess who had which?

The boys had baths and now they are in bed.

Hanging out with Noah

This morning we had Wonders and Worries. Ali said Noah did great. Noah was well behaved for Ali.

After Wonders and Worries we came home and hung out until it was time to get Evan. I was going to take Noah to Great Clips for a haircut but he insisted I do it. He wanted his haircut at home. So, I gave Noah and haircut.

After getting Evan, the boys played together at home for a little bit and then Kim came over.

I tutored and then met Morry and the boys at McDonalds. Evan had his first football practice tonight. Morry said he did very well.

We just got the boys ready for bed, but they are not in bed yet.

Lunch with Evan

Noah threw a little bit of a tantrum this morning. He wouldn't do any of the Wonders and Worries stuff. Drop off at school was fine though.

I went for a run.

At 10:32am I met Evan at his school for lunch. He was really excited to see me. I watched his class come down the hallway to the cafeteria. Evan was line leader today.

When I picked up Noah from school today he was in a good mood. He had a bag full of rocks. They had a rock scavenger hunt today.

Noah and I went to HEB and then picked up Evan from school.

Gabby came over and then I tutored.

Morry took the boys to Evan's baseball practice.

We all got home around 7pm.

For dinner we had pasta.

Evan and Noah are in bed now and seem to be asleep.

Football and Baseball

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

The boys got up some time after 8am. Since yesterday was a long, exhausting day, I thought they may sleep in, but they didn't really.

Rachel had a luncheon to go to for the Breast Cancer Resource Center. She left around 11am for that. I made pancakes for the boys and me for our brunch.

After eating the pancakes, we all settled in to watch the Steelers game. Unfortunately, the game was really really bad - one of the worst I can remember in a long time. The boys didn't mind. They were having a good time. Evan had me throwing the football to him. I was leading him and he'd dive to get the football. (It was a stuffed football)

Rachel came home around 2pm and laid down.

At 2:30, Evan and I left for his first tee ball game of the season. It was really hot out, about 100 degrees. It felt gross. Evan was pretty tired initially but he got excited when the game started. He batted third and he played right-center, shortstop and pitcher. He loved playing pitcher. Last season, only the older boys who really knew how to field got to play pitcher. I think he took it as an honor that he got to play there. He did really well. He fielded every ball that game to him. He was running off the mound fast to get it. That's something new that he didn't do last season. He's really progressed well.

Rachel and Noah came towards the end of the game. I drove the boys home while Rachel went to tutor. We stopped and got Powerade on the way home.

At home, I led the boys in cleaning up. It did not go well.

For dinner, Rachel stopped and picked up Papa John's. They now charge to deliver. It's very expensive there.

We gave the boys baths and they are in their rooms now.

Until next time...

Birthday Party and UT Football

This morning Morry had a meeting at 9:30am. He got home around 12:30. While he was gone I took the boys on a run. I pushed them in the stroller.

I tutored a student here at the house at 1pm.

We all left around 2pm to pick up a present and head over to Benjamin's birthday party at the Little Gym. Noah was invited too even though Benjamin is Evan's friend. Evan and Noah had a great time at the party.

After the party we came home for just a few minutes to get ready to go to the UT football game. The boys were very excited about going. We usually take them to one game a year.

When we first got to the game the boys were very tired and hot. We met Blanca and Rita at the beginning of the second quarter to get a picture. We got the boys smoothies then and all of the sudden they both got a burst of energy. After that they seemed to have a really good time at the game.

We left the game after the 3rd quarter.

On the way home we got Slurpees and Chick-Fil-A.

Evan fell asleep almost immediately after getting into bed. I think Noah is already asleep too.

Another Friday

Both kids had good days at school.

Evan brought his tooth fairy money to school with him to show everyone. He was very excited to see $5 under his pillow this morning.

Noah and Evan hugged each other and high fived the teacher at pick up.

At home, I tried to each Evan how to ride his bike without training wheels. It didn't go so well. I think he was really tired.

For dinner we went to the Austin Pizza Garden.

We just gave the boys baths and now Morry is reading to them.

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Evan Lost a Tooth!

This morning Noah and I went to Wonders and Worries. Ali gave Noah a box of toys to use when he gets mad/sad and a blanket to use when that happens too. Noah was very excited about the new stuff he got.

After that Noah and I had a picnic lunch at the Wildflower Park. Then, we went to the 12:30 class at the Little Gym. Noah really enjoyed that.

We came home and made smoothies and then left to get Evan.

Evan and Noah played together when we got home and then Blanca came over.

I tutored and got home around 5:45.

While we were getting dinner ready Evan came running in from the backyard. He pulled out his own loose tooth. It had been loose for weeks. You can see video and pics below.

For dinner we had steak and fish with corn on the cob.

The boys are upstairs cleaning up and then we'll put them to bed.

Busy Night

Both of the kids went to school without any problems today. Evan got to walk to school with his friend/classmate, Jack. Jack lives right around the corner from us and they ran into to each other walking to school. Morry said Evan and Jack had a fun time playing this morning on the way to school.

While Noah was at school I had an acupuncture appointment.

After I picked up Noah we went to HEB and then picked up Evan from school.

Gabby came at 4pm and I tutored.

I had one student until 6pm and then met Morry at the boys at Maudie's for dinner. I had a new student meeting me at the bookstore near there at 7:15pm. I won't normally meet her at that time, but she needed some help studying for a test tonight.

Morry took the boys to Dick's Sporting Goods after dinner to get tball pants for Evan.

I got home around 8:45pm. Evan was asleep and Noah was almost asleep.

Change of Plans

Morry and Marilyn took Evan to school today.

Around 9am, we left the house to take Grandmom to the airport. Noah and I had an appointment at Wonders and Worries at 10am so we went there from the airport. We got to Wonders and Worries about 10 minutes early and the door was locked. We waited and waited. I tried calling the guy we were supposed to meet but he didn't answer his phone. At 10:20am I called again and left a message saying we were leaving to run errands and could try coming later. He called shortly after and said his son's school was closed today because of the fires. It was being used as a shelter. He apologized for not calling and we rescheduled for Thursday.

Noah and I went to Panera to get my free cookie. When I went to Panera the other day they forgot to put the cookie in my to-go order so they said I could come back later and get it. Noah and I shared a sugar cookie.

Then, we went to Kohls and Old Navy to return a few things. Old Navy is next to Barnes and Noble. Noah asked if we could go to the bookstore. So, we did for a little while.

At home, we ate lunch outside. It was a nice day today.

We drove to the path to pick Evan up. Evan and Noah were excited to see each other.

At 4:30 Kim came over to babysit.

Morry and I went to the Meet the Teacher night at the school at 5:30.

We got home at 6:30 and I left to tutor.

I picked up Popeye's for Morry on my way home.

The boys are in bed and asleep now.

Monday, September 5, 2011

Jim's and Baseball

This morning the boys were pretty good.

For lunch we ate at Jim's. Evan and Noah were good there. They both got pancakes.

We dropped Grandmom off at home and went to the Wildflower park. We ran into Jodie, Allen, and Thomas there. We talked to Jodie for a little bit.

We spent the afternoon at home.

Evan had baseball practice at 5pm. Morry took him there and then we all met at Olive Garden afterwards.

We got seated right away and the boys were well behaved there.

At home we got the boys ready for bed. Morry is reading to Evan now and then they will go to bed.

Sunday, September 4, 2011

Mostly Relaxing

Today we didn't do that much. I was still recovering from my tests/scans. I was really tired and still a little crampy.

The boys played well this morning in the game room and let us sleep in.

We ate at home for lunch. We all had different things, mostly leftovers.

At 4pm Evan had his baseball practice. He listened well and looked good out there. Just Morry, Evan, and I went. Noah stayed at home with Grandmom.

Tonight I took it easy. Morry, Evan, Noah, and Grandmom met Matt family at the County Line for barbecue. They just called to say they are on their way home.

When they get home we'll get the boys ready for bed.

Day 3: No Rachel (First Baseball Practice)

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This was our last day without Rachel. She returned around 10pm this evening.

The boys were up around 8am and very loud. They were playing loudly and at one point Evan had made Noah upset and was really needling Noah to make the situation worse. I pretended not to hear.

When I got up, I brought the boys downstairs and got them breakfast. Evan wanted green eggs so I made them for him. He ended up sharing some with Noah.

When Grandmom got up, we had to get going. I sold our Longhorns tickets to the game today and had to meet the guy at 11:45. Once I sold the tickets we went to Wendy's for lunch.

We came home and Noah and Grandmom stayed at the house while I took Evan to his first baseball practice of the season. It was night and day from last season. Last season, of the 13 kids, there were only 5 kids who had never played. There were 7 kids at today's practice (5 could not make it) and of those 7 there today, only Evan had played before. The coach really spent time working on the basics which was good. Evan seemed to have a really good time. He was really racing around the bases. He looked much improved. I was third base coach for a bit and Evan asked if I could stay as third base coach. They have practice again on Sunday and Monday. Evan is already looking forward to practice.

After practice, we came home and I showered. Then we went to Toys R Us and got Legos for the boys. Despite Evan throwing a fit, we went to Red Lobster for dinner. Evan loves Red Lobster so I'm not sure why he was throwing a fit. We got him a smoothie and then he was back to a good mood and ate a ton of crab as always.

We came home and I gave the boys a bath. They were pretty grimy. Evan was still awake by the time Rachel came home.

Until next time...

No Rachel: Day Two (Welcome Grandmom)

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Rachel was still in Dallas today so I again worked from home. Like yesterday, I had to get Noah up so we could take Evan to school. Evan and I went in to wake him up and he was sitting up in bed. I don't know why he was up, but it made it easy.

We drove to the path and then walked Evan into the school. Evan and Noah were hugging and saying goodbye and a boy named Ben called over to Evan and asked Evan to sit down next to him. Evan got a goofy grin on his face and looked at me and sat down. It was very cute. Evan asked Noah to give him a high five goodbye. He wouldn't let us leave until Noah gave him a hard high five. I think it took three tries.

We came home for a bit and then I drove Noah to school. He seemed to be in a very bad mood and I was worried about leaving him there. He wasn't giving me a hard time or anything, it just seemed like he didn't want to go.

I then went and got a smoothie and Smoothie King and took my car over to H2O Hand Car Wash to get the car washed. I had gotten a Groupon a while back and decided to use it. They have free WiFi there so I could do work from there.

I came home and worked some and then I had to go get Noah. He was in a very good mood when I went in. He was sitting next to Miss Terrie and doing the "Bear Hunt" song. He seemed very excited to see me. He said he had a good day. So that was good.

Gabby met us at home. She took care of Noah while I went and picked up Evan.

When Evan came out of school, he was holding a paper with a bunch of stickers on it. There were three boys around him all wanting to see this paper. I wasn't sure what it was. When he came to me, he said he had filled up his sticker chart and got to choose an item out of the "Treasure Chest". He chose an MP3 player shaped eraser. He was very proud. Apparently, they get a sticker for being helpful in class. Once you fill it up, you get to choose an item. Evan managed to get 20 stickers in the first 10 days of school. I asked him if he was the first to fill up his chart. He said he was the second. Nevertheless, I am very proud that he is so helpful at school. That is wonderful.

Also at school, each day they've been "introducing" a kid to the class. The child has to stand up and tell the class how old they are, what their favorite food is and what they like to do. It was Evan's turn today. He said he told the class his favorite food was crab and that he likes to play sports. I wonder if he's the only kid in his class whose favorite food is crab.

We were home for a bit and then we had to leave to pick Grandmom up. The boys were excited to see her. Once we got her, we had trouble finding a place to eat. Evan said he wanted to eat at the Olive Garden. It turned out to be a 40 minute wait. So then we tried BJs but we didn't even get out of the car. There were a ton of people waiting outside. We ended up at Carino's. The boys did really really well there.

The boys were hyper when we got home and it took a while to get them calmed down. While they were hyper, they were still fairly well behaved. We did get them in bed and they are sleeping now.

Until next time...

No Rachel: Day One

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

With Rachel gone this morning, Noah needed to come with us to take Evan to school. First I woke Evan up and made breakfast for him. Then I went and woke Evan up. Luckily Noah did not give me a hard time and got dressed right away. We drove to the walking path to school and then walked the rest of the way.

When we got home, I put a movie on for Noah downstairs. When that was over we went upstairs and I worked in the upstairs office while Noah played with GeoTrax.

I made Noah lunch and Blanca came shortly after. As I was working, I kept hearing Noah yell "Yes!", "All right!" loudly. I was guessing he was simply playing Wii. Then it got quiet. I went downstairs and Noah had asked Blanca to put WALL-E on. He looked very tired.

I left to go pick up Evan while Noah stayed home with Blanca. When Evan came out with his class, he saw me and got a big smile. Then he ran up. I was thinking he was going to say he was really happy to see me since I had never picked him up from school. He got over to me and he opened his mouth to speak. I thought me might say he was he liked me picking up. But he said "Where's Noah?" I'm glad that he and Noah are so close.

We got home and I did some more work. After I finished up, I came downstairs, made popcorn for the boys and started getting dinner together. I also got Evan's lunch ready for tomorrow as well.

After dinner, the boys cleaned up their rooms and we ran over to HEB to return the Redbox movies. I promised them if they cleaned up their rooms well, we could get Icees at HEB. They did it well and so we got Icees.

They are now in bed but not sleeping. Lights are off though.

Until next time...
