Morry Helps Move

Morry left the house around 9:30am and got back around 4:30pm today. He was helping his cousin Matt move, so it was mostly just the boys and me today.

It was really cold out today so we just stayed in the house. For lunch I made Evan and Noah blue eggs and ham. Evan ate a lot. Noah just made a mess with his. The boys were good today. They played well and didn’t give me any problems. They took good naps.

While they were napping I got dinner ready. I got the coke ham ready in the crock pot.

I was able to nap a little bit too.

We ate the ham and biscuits for dinner tonight. We tried giving Evan his leftover pizza but he didn’t want it. He ended up eating a lunchable for dinner. I’m not sure what Noah ate. We gave him a lot of different things on his tray. The only thing I saw him eat was popcorn, the rest seemed to be just spread around his tray.

We just gave the boys baths and now they are in bed. I hear Noah calling for Daddy.

Spaghetti

This morning Evan was up early, but Noah slept until about 10am. Evan told Morry that he wanted to go to the mall today, so that is where we went. We needed things from there anyway. Evan and Noah were very well behaved so we got cookies on the way out of the mall.

We ate lunch at home and then put the boys down for naps. They both took good naps. In fact, all of us ended up napping a little bit.

For dinner we went to Spaghetti Warehouse. We had a coupon and the boys tend to eat really well there. We ordered spaghetti for them, but neither one really ate much of it. They were very good at the restaurant though and ate some other things. Evan’s dinner came with applesauce and of course, he ate all of it.

On the way home we picked up some food for Lizzy at Petco.

We are about to give the boys baths and put them to bed.

Back to Playgroup

This morning we went to playgroup. It had been a while since we had gone. It was nice seeing all the moms and kids again. Evan and Noah had a good time. Marissa has a play kitchen and Noah really enjoyed making me coffee. He kept brining me a lot of cups and pretending to pour coffee in them.

After playgroup we came home for lunch. I made mac and cheese for the boys. Evan ate all of his, but Noah just spread it out on his tray.

Lauren came over and helped me put the boys down for naps. Then, we hung out here for a while and talked while the boys were napping.

For dinner we wanted to try a new restaurant called Backspin in our neighborhood. When we got there we realized it was really more of a bar and all the tables were taken. We were told it would probably be a while before any of the tables were cleared, so we decided to go somewhere else. We drove over to Cheddars and I ran in to put our name on the list. It was pretty crowded there too and I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. We decided not to wait and try another place. We thought we'd go to Natural Planet, another restaurant near us, because it usually isn’t too crowded.

At Natural Planet we got seated right away, but it took forever for our food to come out. Evan and Noah were very good and enjoyed watching the Winter X Games on TV.

We just put Evan and Noah to bed. It is already quiet in Noah’s room.

You Know You’re an Adult When…

You know you’re an adult when you get excited about a new washing machine and dryer. Our new ones came today. The ones we had were 12 years old, Morry got them when he moved down to Texas. We are testing it out now. The first load is in the washing machine. It holds a lot of clothes. I thought we were going to have to do 2 loads of darks, but we got them all in.

So, this morning Evan had school. Noah and I dropped him off and then went to Target. We needed a few things including high efficiency detergent for the new washer. Noah was good at Target.

At home I cleaned up a little bit and vacuumed.

At around 12:30 the guys from Home Depot came to deliver or new washer and dryer. When they were done I went to pick up Evan at school. Evan seemed like he had a good day at school.

Evan and Noah took good, long naps. I had to wake Evan up so he would go to bed tonight (ha ha). Like it really makes a difference.

For dinner, I had salmon and Morry had steak. We had potatoes, but I had sweet potato and Morry had a regular baked potato. Evan and Noah had sandwiches and veggies. Noah mostly just smooshed up his food on his tray.

We just put Evan and Noah to bed. Evan is now in the hallway though.

Walk, HEB, Doctor

This morning Noah didn’t want to get out of bed. Each time I tried to get him dressed he got upset. So, I left him in his crib for a while and he was happy. Finally, I decided it was time to fight him and get him dressed. I wanted to go for a walk. I had everything packed in the stroller. As soon as Evan, Noah, Lizzy, and I stepped out of the garage it started raining. It wasn’t raining hard so I went ahead and walked around the block. Evan walked some of the way and sat In the stroller the rest of the way.

After the walk, I let Lizzy inside the house and then we went to HEB. Evan and Noah were very good at HEB. I had a lot of shopping to do. I saved $38 in coupons, though I did spend a lot too.

When we got home the boys at a little and then went down for naps.

Blanca came at 3:00 so that I could go to the gastroenterologist. I wanted to get checked out since I have been nauseas for a few weeks now. She wants to do a scan to check out my gall bladder. I’m not sure when that will be. I have to make the appointment. She said it could just be stress or a virus causing the discomfort, but wants to check it out anyway.

After the doctor I tutored 2 students.

When I got home Morry was getting dinner ready. We had chicken wings, veggies, and soup (for me).

We just gave Evan and Noah baths and now they are in bed.
