Hello everyone, this is Morry.
It was 34 degrees this morning when Evan and I left the house. We stopped at Donut Taco Palace on the way to San Marcos. The temperature was a balmy 39 degrees when we got to the fields. By game time, it felt warmer. I'd guess it was mid-high 40's. The team struggled defensively again. Evan ended up playing shortstop for quite a bit during the game. He did well. Evan also doubled to the game in right-center. He pitched to the last two batters of the game before the game was called as it hit the time limit. The Bucs season came to a close. Evan should be proud. He really grew as a fielder and a pitcher this season and his swing definitely improved.
On the way home, we stopped at Popeye's for lunch.
When Noah got up he texted Grandma and he walked over to their house. Papa met Noah half way. I dropped Evan off there after Popeye's. Rachel joined them over there for lunch.
Rachel and Evan came home after not a real long time there. Noah insisted on staying.
Evan and I watched football and then played some football.
Noah ate over at Grandma and Papa's as well. We had leftovers here.
We just walked to get Noah but met them half way (kind of by accident). The boys are having dessert now and should go to bed soon.
Until next time...

Noah is 6!!
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
It was very easy to get Noah up this morning. He was so excited it was his birthday. He was born at 7:16am. As we drove to school, it turned 7:16am and we all cheered.
For Noah's lunch, Rachel and I went into school and sat with him while he ate lunch and we gave out cupcakes to his classmates. Noah really seemed to enjoy having us there.
We walked to pick the boys up from school. We noticed in the parking lot of the Circle C Community Center, an ice cream truck was waiting. We allowed the boys to get a popsicle from the truck.
At 4:30, Noah and I left for his game. Noah had a good warm up. He was hitting the ball well. It translated into another good game. In the second inning he fielded a ball at shortstop and tagged second to get a boy out (which we have pictures of below). In the third inning, as pitcher, he fielded a ball and saw the boy running to first was going slow so he ran over and tagged the boy. He also got two hits and scored two runs.
After the game, we went to Logan's for dinner. That's where Noah wanted to go. Noah got steak.
We came home and we're about to put the boys to bed.
Until next time...

It's Friday
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
It took a little while to wake Noah up this morning. It's not that he was giving me a hard time, it's just that he was very sound asleep. Once he got up, he was in his normal good mood and excited for school.
We walked to school and while we were walking Jack came up on his bike. Evan ran with Jack up to the school.
Rachel and I went to Wholy Bagel for lunch.
When we picked the boys up from school, we talked to Mr. Valdes for a bit. He said that he posted a writing sample of Noah's up on the wall as an example to the other kids of how it looks to write a sentence. Noah seemed very proud. Noah also finished his first sticker chart and got to pick something from the treasure box.
On the way home, we saw Jack again. I walked with Jack's dad while Evan ran and Jack rode his bike home.
I did some work and then Evan had practice. Evan played a bunch of shortstop tonight. He made a nice play. There was a short pop up that he couldn't get in to catch in the air. A boy was on first. He caught it off the bounce and then raced back to second and dove touching the bag before the boy got there.
We had leftovers for dinner. Then the boys helped me put the license plates I just got on the car.
Evan has his first game of the season tomorrow night and Noah has his first game on Sunday.
Until next time...

Noah Wins Again
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
Evan was pretty tired when I got him up this morning. It was a busy weekend this past weekend so I don't think he got rest. To be honest, I'm not sure any one of us will get any rest until after baseball season.
Noah and Rachel relaxed this morning. At 12:30, Rachel took Noah over to Cole's house to play. He always has such a good time with Noah.
Rachel picked Noah up from Cole's and then went at got Evan from school.
Rachel left for tutoring at the same time that Evan, Noah and I left for Noah's baseball game. We picked Jack up on the way to the game. Jack was out in the driveway waiting for us making faces and being silly. Jack is very silly and he makes Evan really laugh.
Noah's team won again. They were beating the other team so badly that the coach asked me to put all the younger kids in the key positions in the last inning. I asked Noah if he wanted to go to pitcher but he said no. I put him at shortstop. He took one really hard shot that bounced up and got him in the shoulder. He almost got a boy out at second base on that. He paused for just a second to touch his shoulder. Had he not done that, I think he would have gotten the boy out. He stopped it and picked it up quickly which was important.
When we came home, I made dinner for us.
The boys are now in bed.
Until next time...
