Nothing
Morry took Zayde to the airport around 11am. The rest of the day was mostly spent at home.
Morry and the boys watched a Harry Potter movie.
We ate dinner at home and then went for a walk.
The boys are playing downstairs and soon we'll get them ready for bed.

Outside
When I got up this morning, the boys were playing Legos. They played inside most of the morning until lunch.
After lunch, Evan had a football game. Again, his team didn't play well. Evan had a good game. He caught 4 or 5 passes and ran well on two reverses. On defense and knocked a ball away. He should be proud for playing well despite the team not playing well.
When we got home, I guess Evan decided he hasn't been outside exercising enough. Rachel went for a run and he rode along on his bike. They went over to the streets named after Steelers. Evan was excited because they were on Bettis Trophy Street.
It was Noah's turn to pick a movie today and he wanted to see the fifth Harry Potter. He and I started it just before Evan and Rachel got home. Evan ended up watching it with us.
Rachel made dough for pizza and we made pizza for the boys for dinner.
The boys are in the shower now. They'll go to bed after.
Until next time...

Wet
We had nothing scheduled for today. There were no birthday parties, no sports events, we were free the whole day. I had talked with Jack's dad about getting Evan and Jack together and playing some baseball, but it was only loosely scheduled.
However, when I got up, it has already begun to mist and just looked wet out. I got the boys breakfast and printed out some 1099s that I needed to send. Then Evan and I drove to the post office and stopped at Donut Taco Palace for the first time since November.
Rachel made pancakes for lunch for she and Noah. Evan had matzoh with jelly on it. I had some leftovers.
By lunch it had really started to rain so we didn't play baseball.
Later in the afternoon, the boys and I watched the fourth Harry Potter movie. We had popcorn as well.
For dinner, we went to Pho Thai Son. The boys ate the grilled beef and vermicelli very well.
We stopped at Randall's and picked up Redbox on the way home.
The boys are getting ready for bed now.
Until next time..

HEB and Movie Day
It wasn't raining when we got up but it had rained enough that Evan's football game was cancelled. It will be rescheduled for another day some time.
In the late morning, we went to HEB. We really hadn't done a big HEB shopping trip since our ski vacation. It was good to fill up on things we needed.
When we came home the boys had to clean up their rooms and the game room. I promised to put on a movie and make popcorn when they finished.
It took them a while, but they finished and I made popcorn and they had Dr. Pepper and we watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It's the third Harry Potter. Both boys seemed to really enjoy it.
After the movie, I made pizza.
The boys are up in their rooms about to get ready for bed.
Until next time...

Father-Son Football Game
At 6:34 this morning, I woke up and looked at the time. My alarm is set during the week for 6:25. I jumped up thinking my alarm hadn't gone off and went into the bathroom to start getting ready when I realized that today was Saturday. Luckily I had realized before I woke the boys up.
We stayed in this morning and the boys watched the second Harry Potter movie.
Evan had a birthday party to go to that was a Father-Son football game. I haven't played football in a long time. They had rented out an indoor facility that had astro turf for us to play. Everyone seemed to have a good time. I was exhausted at the end. We played football for most of it but at the end we played some soccer. Evan seemed to have a good time with his buddies.
We came home for a while. Then Rachel and Noah joined us and we went to Best Buy. We bought a new vacuum cleaner to replace the one that Rachel sold. We also ended up buying a new TV for downstairs. It will be delivered on Wednesday.
We went to Chipotle for dinner. Both and Evan and Noah ate steak tacos. It was great.
We stopped at Redbox on the way home.
Until next time...

Costco
This morning the boys watched the end of Harry Potter.
After that, we decided to make a quick run to Costco. Well as quick you can possibly go at Costco on a Sunday. The boys and I split up from Rachel to make it go faster. I think, all-in-all, we did well. We bought the boys food for lunch there. Evan had pizza and Noah had a 1/4 LB hot dog. Noah ate the whole thing.
In the afternoon, I did some work and Rachel cleaned up. She threw out a bunch of stuff in the game room and boxed up a bunch of stuff that we'll put in the attic. We pulled out the big old 36" TV and we'll either give it away or for the next bulk trash pick up put it out on the curb. We moved the TV from our bedroom into the game room and moved the Wii U up to the game room. Now the boys don't have to fight over the TV.
The boys also had clean up day. There wasn't too much fighting although the clean up took forever.
For dinner we had ham and rice.
The boys are ready for bed and in their room.
Until next time...

The Nutcracker
We didn't have any plans for today which was nice. The boys started playing downstairs around 8 in the morning. I finally came downstairs around 9.
Evan told me he wanted to watch Harry Potter. Apparently, he started reading the first book and wanted to see the movie. So in the afternoon, we put it on the TV and I made some popcorn. The boys didn't finish it before we had to leave.
Aaron had told me that his son, Jeremy, was asking to see Evan and Noah. I asked if they'd like to go to dinner with us prior to going to see the Nutcracker. He suggested we go to a place called the 24 Diner. Jeremy sat next to Evan. Evan entertained Jeremy much of the dinner. It was nice.
Then we drove over to see the Nutcracker. Jack's sister Audrey played one of the mice in it. It was done well. The boys got a bit bored towards the end, but it was nice to support Audrey and to let the boys experience something new.
The boys are about to get ready for bed.
Until next time...

Playdate
Last night, around midnight, Noah started crying. Rachel went in there several times and each time, Noah would calm down. When she left he'd start crying again. She changed his diaper but there didn't seem to be anything wrong with him. We eventually just had to let him cry. He ended up falling asleep at the gate.
Evan didn't get up with me this morning. But the boys got up shortly after I left. I assume that since Noah's door was open and he was sleeping on the floor that he must have heard me. Apparently, when they got up the boys were really hyper.
Rachel decided to just get up and they went to Newflower to get fruits and vegetables. The boys got to ride in the car cart so they were happy.
At 10am, Evan's friend Ben came over to play. Rachel said that they had a great time. She said they really enjoyed playing together. Rachel enjoyed talking with Ben's mom. All in all, it was a very nice time.
Neither boy ate much for lunch.
Rachel went to tutor and Gabby came to babysit.
When I got home, I took the boys to Chick-Fil-A for dinner. Both boys were incredibly well behaved and they both ate very very well. It took Evan a long time to eat but he finished just about all of his food. I let them play on the playset there and then they got some ice cream for dessert.
We came home and Noah decided to be bad. He wouldn't clean up and he wasn't listening when I was reading Harry Potter. I ended up just putting him to bed and finish up reading in Evan's room.
Oh, and Evan's funny line of the night. We were telling Noah how Evan got to hold a baby alligator in Florida this past March. Evan said that he "almost freaked out" when holding the alligator. Where did he even learn that phrase. And by the way, he did not almost freak out. He was very calm.
Until next time...

School and Insurance Mess
This morning I dropped the boys off and then went to my doctor’s appointment.
I had a check up at the oncologist office. Morry’s work switched insurance companies and when I checked in they said they didn’t take the new insurance. Well, they did, but it was considered out of network. I was still able to have my appointment after paying the new high co-pay. It’s now $55 to see a specialist. Anyway, the financial lady said they could work something out for this time. Everything was fine with my check up. I had been having some soreness but it’s most likely caused by increased activity and costochondritis (an inflammation of a rib or the cartilage connecting a rib) which I’ve had for a while.
Both boys were happy when I picked them up from school. They had a good day.
When we got home we did reading and writing with the letter F. Evan wrote the words “fun”, “funny”, and “fan”.
Noah did not nap.
Blanca came at 3:45 and I tutored.
I got home around 7pm.
For dinner Morry had bacon wrapped pork. I had eggs and beans and rice. The kids had macaroni and cheese.
Morry picked up the first Harry Potter book from the library and started reading it to Evan tonight.
Oh, and I think we may have gotten the insurance straightened out. I will need to make a few calls, but Texas Oncology should still be covered in our new plan.
