Clean House

This morning we walked Noah to school and then I left to teach.

While I was gone, the cleaning people came to our house.

Our plan was to meet for bagels after I finished work, but the cleaning people were still there.  So, I picked up our bagels on the way home and we ate on the back porch.

At 1:30 we had an appointment with a potential new psychologist for Noah. We really liked her and he'll have his first appointment on Monday.

As soon as we got home we walked to get Noah from school.

At 3:30 Noah and I went to the community center for a Rosh Hashanah party.  There was a good turnout. I would guess around 25-30 kids were there.  Noah wanted to stay the whole time so Grandma came since I needed to leave for tutoring.

Grandma walked Noah home after the party.

Noah had football practice today and he had a good time.

I got home around 7:30 and we had tacos for dinner.

Now the boys are getting ready for bed.

Football and House Cleaning

This morning we walked to school.

We also had our house cleaned this morning.

For lunch, I met a few other moms at Z Pizza.

I left to tutor when Morry left to pick up the kids.

Morry and Evan went to baseball practice later in the afternoon while Noah and I stayed at home.

They got back around 7pm and then we had various things for dinner.  Morry and Evan had fried matzoh.  I had a burger.  Noah had pancakes.

The boys are getting ready for bed now.

Tennis

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

On the walk to school this morning, Lizzy got to see her golden retriever puppy friend and her black lab friend,  Crystal.  She and Crystal really get along.  As Lizzy saw Crystal walking towards us, she got so excited.

We had a cleaning service come.  They were supposed to come in the afternoon, but they actually came early.  It was a pleasant surprise.  They do a very good job.

I had back-to-back meetings in the afternoon so I couldn't go to pick the boys up.  Rachel went by herself.

Rachel took Noah and Evan to Noah's tennis class.  After that she stopped and took some pictures of the boys in the blue bonnets.  Then she dropped the boys off at a nearby coffee shop where I was and then went to tutoring.  I took them home.

We had leftover chicken for dinner.

The boys are about to go up to bed.

Until next time...

All By Themselves

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

We had another cool, crisp morning.  Lizzy loves the temperature now.  The boys both took their scooters to school.  The mother of two girls that love Lizzy offered to have Lizzy at their house if we ever need pet sitting.

We had a cleaning service come to clean the house this morning.  We got the cleaning service off of Angie's List.

Rachel had a dentist appointment today in the morning and I stayed while the house was being cleaned.

When Rachel got home, I ran to Aaron's to meet with him.  I was not able to make it back home in time to get the kids from school.

Rachel went to pick up the boys but they told her that they wanted to ride their scooters home from school by themselves.  So Rachel drove home and left the car and then walked to the corner of Tanaqua and Larue Belle Lane.  Just as she was getting there, she could see the boys turning onto Tanaqua from Spruce Canyon.  Lots of kids walk by themselves but this was the first time the boys did it.  They really liked that.

Evan had golf in the afternoon.

Rachel tutored and when she got home we had leftovers.

The boys are about to get ready for bed.

Until next time...

Our Day

This morning the cleaning people came and Morry took the boys to camp.

I had an appointment with a new doctor here in Austin and Morry came with me.  It was at the same time as camp was ending, so we had Blanca pick up the boys from camp.

When we got back from the appointment we made dinner.  Morry made hamburgers on the grill.

The boys watched some baseball tonight on TV.

They are both still up, but should be sleeping.

Clean House

This morning we walked the boys to school without problems.

Around noon we had a cleaning crew come and clean our house.  It's nice having a clean house now. We'll see how long that lasts.

I went to Pilates and HEB.

Morry picked up the boys from school since the cleaning people were still here.  I stayed home.

For dinner we had burgers.

The boys are playing now, but soon we'll get them ready for bed.

Errands with Morry

Today was a busy day.

This morning I dropped Noah off at school and then went to drop off the car to get the mirror fixed.

We had someone come to clean the house today and once Morry showed her what needed to be cleaned he came and picked me up.

We went to Fiesta to get a pinata for the birthday party. Then, we went to Home Depot. After that we went to my Pilates class. Morry was able to sit in the lounge area and get some work done.

Then, we went back to the car place. Morry dropped me off and picked up Noah from school. The car was ready when we got there, so I didn't really have to wait.

At 2:00 I had a phone/web focus group thing that only lasted about 20 minutes.

I left the house at 2:30 to get Evan.

I was home for just a little bit and then I left to tutor. Gabby came over to babysit.

Morry and the boys had pasta for dinner. When I got home I had leftover Blue Bamboo.

The boys are asleep now.

Valentine's Day - A Day Early

Hello everyone, this is Morry. Rachel asked me to write the blog today.

Today, we were having someone come to clean the house. We do this a couple times a year to get a good cleaning. Typically it's before someone comes to visit. In this case, Papa/Lenny and Grandma/Lynn were coming in. The cleaning service was supposed to send a lady over at 9am. So last night Rachel and straightened up (yes, we cleaned for the cleaning lady) in preparation. Rachel got up early for this as well. However, at 9am the lady called and said she'd be a few minutes late. at 9:40, the woman still had not shown up. So Rachel called and the woman said she was lost. Well she got lost until nearly 11am. I don't know how, in Austin, you can get lost for almost 2 hours. It's just not that hard a city to get around. Unbelievable.

While the lady was cleaning, Rachel brought the boys over to meet me for lunch. We went to Matt's El Rancho for lunch. Evan was very hyper at lunch. We ordered him a quesadilla and a Shirley Temple. He didn't eat any of the quesadilla, but Noah did. Noah seemed to have a good time at lunch.

After Rachel dropped me off at work, she went to a gas station, got some gas and went through the car wash. Evan really enjoyed the car wash. He talked Noah through it by saying "Look Noah - it's coming over on that side now," and things like that. He likes to be the big brother.

Rachel put the boys down for naps when she got home but Evan was still awake when Papa/Lenny and Grandma/Lynn came. So he came downstairs to see them for a little bit. Then he went back upstairs for a nap.

When I got home, he was still napping. Rachel and I had plans to go out for an early Valentine's Day. So we exchanged gifts. I got Rachel three bags of loose leaf tea as well as a mug with a built in filter and a tea pot with a built-in filter. Rachel got me front row seats to see Bill Cosby live. I can't believe she was able to do that.

We went to the Alamo Drafthouse to see He's Just Not That Into You. I figured it was a good Valentine's movie. Plus Rachel put up with my football season. It wasn't bad as chick flicks go. Then we got dessert at Chez Zee.

Meanwhile, Evan and Noah went with their grandparents to the Waterloo Ice House. Evan ate all of the chicken out of Grandma/Lynn's chicken taco. Also there was a live band playing music (country, unfortunately). Noah was bouncing up and down to the music. Evan was outside playing on the play scape but he'd occasionally stop to dance.

Both boys are in bed now and sleeping.

Until next time...
