Tucson

On December 21 we drove to Tucson and came back home on December 26.

Morry's brother Ronald also came to Tuscon to visit with their dad and sister.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

We had a nice time, but it was a lot of driving.  It took about 13.5 hours each way.

Last Week Before Winter Break

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Today is the start of the last week before winter break.  The boys have off Friday so they just need to make it through Thursday.

I left earlier than normal today for HomeAway after dropping Noah off.  I had some things I wanted to do to get done before taking all next week off.

Rachel went with someone to do some charity work for Charles Maund Toyota today.  Then she went into school to teach.

Rachel picked Noah up because every other Monday is my late day at HomeAway.  Then Rachel went to tutor.

I got home around 5:15 after both boys were home.  Evan left to go to Grandma's.

For dinner, we had hamburgers on the grills, couscous, and Rachel and Noah made Brussels sprouts. Noah came up with the recipe.

Rachel, Chewie and I walked to get Evan.

The boys are upstairs playing video games.

Until next time...

Update Since Thursday

It's been a while since we wrote the blog.

Thursday and Friday were usual school days for the kids.

Friday night Evan and Noah hung out with Grandma and Papa.  They had dinner together, went to Temple, and got dessert at TCBY.  Morry and I went to the HomeAway holiday party.

Saturday we took Chewie to Emma Long, the 3-mile leash-less hiking trail.  He had a great time!

Saturday night we got dinner at Freebirds and then did some grocery shopping at HEB.

This morning I went for a long 10-mile run.  I got back just as Morry and the boys were going to the Ramati's to watch football.

I was supposed to go to an event for the car dealership I work with, but as I was leaving the garage, I got a call it was canceled.  We are doing something instead tomorrow morning.

Later this afternoon Morry and the boys watched the Steelers game.

Tonight we went to dinner at Hao Hao with Grandma and Papa.

Now the boys are cleaning up.

Basketball Champion

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Rachel decided not to walk with us this morning.  So it was just Noah, Chewie and me on the walk to school.

Rachel left just before I left for HomeAway.  She was going into Charles Maund to talk about what she'll be doing for them in exchange for the car.  From there, Rachel went to teach.

I had a meeting so I couldn't get home to walk to get Noah.  Rachel was able to get home to get Noah.

I got home a little after pick up.  Rachel left to tutor shortly after I got home.

Evan walked to a friend's house from school.  Two other boys joined Evan and the boys whose house they walked to.  They set up a round robin one-on-one basketball tournament.  They've been getting together about once a week to play and this time they said the winner got a Championship Bracelet that they could have for one week until the next tournament.  Evan was the inaugural winner.  He was quite proud.

Before I picked Evan up from his friend's house, I stopped at HEB and got dinner.  I got a fresh cooked turkey breast and cranberry sauce.

The boys are upstairs playing.

Until next time...

Cold Morning + Watching Football

This morning it was pretty cold outside.  I think it was around 35 degrees.  We walked and Chewie was very hyper.

I went to my school today.

Morry, Chewie, and I walked to pick up Noah from school.  It was still cold, but not as bad as this morning and Chewie was still hyper.

Noah went to Grandma and Papa's right from school.

I tutored two students and got home around 6pm.

We had leftover flank steak for dinner and then drove to pick up Noah from Grandma and Papa's house.

Morry and the boys are watching a football game on tv.

22.5 Mile Ride and AIPAC Event

Hello everyone, this is morry.

Papa came by the house this morning to go for a bike ride with Evan.  Both Rachel and I thought it would be a short ride.  After a while we weren't sure where they were.  When they got back, Evan and Papa had ridden for 22.5 miles.  Evan seemed pretty happy about it.

While Evan was gone, I took Noah to Grayson's house where Grayson's parents took some boys to High 5 for a birthday party.  Noah was gone all morning at the birthday party and then he hung out at Grayson's house in the afternoon after the party.

Rachel, Evan and I went to brunch at a place called Phoebe's Diner.  It was ok.

We just hung out at the house in the afternoon.

The Sunday School was having a Hanukkah party today.  Rachel picked Noah up from Grayson's house and took Evan with her to the party.

Rachel came back and we got ready to go to an event for AIPAC.  Parents of a boy that Evan and Noah go to camp with invited us.  I've become friends with the dad.   It was a nice event.  Evan and Noah stayed with Grandma and Papa.  They went to Buffet Palace for dinner.

The boys are now in bed.

Until next time...

8 Miles and a Pink Elephant

This morning we took it easy.  Then, later in the morning, I went for a long run (8 miles).  I'm training for the half marathon in January and working my way up in mileage.

This afternoon Evan played outside a little and then went over to Henry's house.

Noah's friend, Grayson came over for a little while.

Morry, Noah, and Evan went to the movies and I went to a Pink Ribbon Cowgirls party.  It was a White Elephant party but called a Pink Elephant Party.  I cam home with a nice scarf and glittery water bottle.

On my way home I stopped at H-E-B and ran into Grandma and Papa there.

When I got home around 10pm the kids were in bed.

Flu Shots

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Today was one of those days where it starts out warmer in the morning than it is in the afternoon.  Noah and I walked to school and it wasn't too bad.  Around lunch time the cold front came in bringing rain and cooler temperatures.

Around mid-morning, I went into Touch To.  I was able to get some work done there and then went to lunch with Aaron.

Rachel stopped by the BCRC after teaching and then she had a doctor appointment.

I drove to pick Noah up from school since it was drizzling and cold.  Chewie rode with me.

I worked from home in the afternoon.

For dinner we had flank steak.

After dinner, we went to HEB to pick up some medicine and get flu shots for Rachel and the boys.

The boys are playing on their new computer now.

Until next time...

4th Night

This morning we walked Noah to school.

On the way to my school, I stopped to get my thyroid blood test for my appointment tomorrow.

I got home from school around 2pm.

I drove with Chewie to pick up Noah from school and then dropped him off at Grandma's house.

Shortly after, I left to tutor.

After school, Evan walked with his friend Henry to Henry's house.   They played basketball with another friend and Morry picked up Evan around 5:30.

I got home around7:30.  Morry had picked up Noah from Grandma and Papa's.

We ate dinner and then lit the menorah.

Now Evan is finishing his homework.

Free Bahama Buck's

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Tuesday, like usual, is Rachel's early day at school.  Just Chewie and I walked Noah to school.

I came home and worked for a while before driving into Touch To where I worked most of the day.

Rachel got home around lunch and I got home in time to walk to get Noah.

Rachel just had to tutor one student this afternoon.  It was here in the neighborhood so she didn't have to drive far.

For dinner we had pre-made fajitas from HEB.

After dinner, we went to Bahama Buck's.  It was a "Sno Day" today and they were giving free small shaved ice.  We thought it would be crowded.  While there were people there at every table, we didn't have to wait in line to order or anything.

We're home now and the boys are playing on the Playstation.

Until next time...

Constant Movement

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

I needed to get into Touch To early this morning.  We were having a client come in early so everyone needed to be in the office.  Because of that I wasn't able to walk Noah to school.  I drove him to the trail and then drove in.  Evan closed up the house by putting Chewie in his crate and turned the alarm on as he left the house.

Rachel worked this morning, then she went to see the sports medicine doctor to work more on her shoulder.

I got home in time to walk to get Noah.  Rachel rested for a bit when we came home and then left to tutor.

Just as Rachel got home, Evan and I left to go to a hitting lesson.

When we came home, we had dinner.  Then we helped Noah with his science fair proposal.

The boys are in bed now.

Until next time...

HEB Run

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Tuesdays are Rachel's early day so she can't walk Noah to school.  Noah and I walked with Chewie.  It was around 33 degrees when we walked, but there was very little wind so it didn't feel bad.

I went into Touch To and worked from there today.

I came home in the early afternoon and did more work before walking to pick Noah up.  Rachel had a staff meeting so she didn't come home.  She also had to run into Charles Maund to renew the car.

We needed to go to HEB since we hadn't been there for shopping in more than a week.  Evan arranged to play basketball with his friend who lives near HEB.  I dropped Evan off there and Noah and I did the shopping.  It was a big shopping trip as we needed quite a bit.  I picked Evan up on the way home.

Rachel was home when we got home.  We unloaded the dishes and made dinner.

Right now, Rachel is doing some work while the boys play on the Playstation.

Until next time...

Break is Over

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

It was a bit tough getting up and ready after a week off.  The boys did well.  We walked Noah to school without issue.

I did some work and then went into HomeAway.  Rachel went into school to teach a little later.

I had to stay for a meeting so I wasn't able to help pick Noah up.  Rachel walked with Chewie to get Noah.  I got home a little while later.

Evan went to Grandma and Papa's for dinner after he got home.

Rachel, Noah and I had leftovers and then I took Noah to TRPD.  Noah's friend is trying out for the 11U team and Noah volunteered to help with the tryout and get some instruction in at the same time.  Noah did well.

The boys are getting ready for bed now.

Until next time...

Thanksgiving 2018

We had a fun week celebrating Thanksgiving with the family.

Sherah's family stayed with us from Wednesday through Saturday.

Thursday for Thanksgiving we went to Aunt Sandy and Uncle Marvin's house.

Friday night we had dinner at Grandma and Papa's house.

Saturday lunch was also at Grandma and Papa's.

Today, we mostly took it easy.  We had been petsitting for Luna and her family picked her up last night.  This morning we petsat for Nikko, our neighbor's Golden Retriever, while they moved to their new house.

Morry and I took the dogs on a long walk.

This afternoon the boys decorated shirts and a hat.

Then, they watched the Steelers game.

For dinner, we went to a Chinese restaurant with Grandma and Papa.

Now we are getting ready to go back to work and school tomorrow.

Here are some pictures from the last few days.

The Seattle Krasnows

Last night Michael's family came in from Seattle.

We all at dinner together at Grandma and Papa's house.

This morning the boys and I went over there for breakfast and hung out for most of the day together.

We walked to the Clayton playground.

For lunch we all went to Polvos.  Morry picked up Evan from lunch to take him to baseball lessons.

After lunch, Noah went with Michael, Jen, Maya, and Artie to get ice cream from Amy's Ice Cream.  Then, they dropped Noah back off at home.

We went back over there for dinner.

Evan went over to Reid's house to spend the night.

Here are some pictures from today.

Jew Hungry?

This morning Morry and Noah picked up Jude on the way to school.  His mom asked us if we could give him a ride today.

I had to be at school by 8am, so I didn't go to drop off the kids.

For my math class today we made Rice Krispie Treats.  Yesterday we did the math to figure out how much of each ingredient we would need.  It worked out well.  The kids had fun.

For lunch, my school had a Thanksgiving party.  The parents brought in food for all of the students and teachers.

After that I went to my physical therapy appointment for my shoulder.  I'm seeing the sports therapy doctor who Evan went to see.  He's really good and seems to be helping my shoulder.

I came home just in time to walk to pick up Noah from school.

Morry was out all day.  He was working and then had a work event at Top Golf.

For dinner, the kids and I went to food trailer Jew Hungry.  It was our first time there.  We all liked our food.  Noah had bagel and lox.  Evan had a roast beef sandwich on challah bread and I had pastrami on challah.

Morry got home around 8pm.  He's making his pasta dinner now.

Evan is finishing his homework.

Here are a few pictures from today.

On the Move

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

It was 29 degrees at the time we went to walk to school.  The weather app said the wind chill was 22 degrees.  I really didn't feel too much wind.  But it was still cold.  Rachel decided not to walk with us.

I came home, did some work, and then went into Touch To.  Rachel laid down for a little while and then left to teach.

I had a meeting in the afternoon and couldn't get back in time to walk to get Noah.  Rachel got him and dropped him off at Grandma's.

Rachel left shortly after I got home to go to tutoring.

When Evan got home, we left, picked Cooper up, and then went to practice.  We hit bad traffic on the way there because of an accident.

While Evan was at practice, I met up with a guy from fantasy football and hung out for a bit.

On the way home, we hit more traffic because of another accident.  We stopped at Chick-Fil-A for dinner.

Chewie and I drove over to pick Noah up.  Rachel is still tutoring.  She should be home soon.

The boys are upstairs playing now.

Until next time...

Feels Like Winter

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

A cold front came through recently and it brought rain and cold temperatures.  The high today was 50 degrees.  It was in the 40s this morning when we got up and drizzling so we drove Noah to the trail.

I worked from home for a while.  Rachel wanted to run so she ran on the treadmill.

I went into HomeAway later in the morning for a meeting in the morning and then one in the afternoon.

Rachel left later to go teach.

I wasn't home in time to get Noah so Rachel drove to the trail with Chewie to pick Noah up.  I got home just after Evan got home.

Rachel tutored in the afternoon.  Minutes after she came back, Evan and I left to go to his catching practice.

For dinner, we had ham and baked potatoes.

The boys are about to get ready for bed.

Until next time...

Hump Day

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

It was really warm and humid walking to school this morning.  In fact, it was kind of gross out.  It wasn't foggy like yesterday though.

I worked from home for a while and then I went into Touch To and worked from there.  Rachel was home and then went into school.

I came home in the early afternoon and got on a conference call with HomeAway.  Grandma picked Noah up from school because I was on the call and Noah went home with her.

Rachel stopped at HEB in Bee Cave on the way home from school.

Shortly after Evan got home, I drove him to Cooper's house.  He was getting a ride to practice with Cooper's family.  On the way back I stopped at our HEB and picked up medicine for Evan.

Noah had dinner with Grandma and Papa.  Rachel and I had ribs for dinner.  Rachel got Noah just before we had dinner and Noah wanted a rib as well.

Evan is watching ESPN right now.  Noah is upstairs.

Until next time...

Waiting To Vote

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

We had a very busy weekend this past weekend.  Evan and I ended up being at the baseball fields for 15 hours on Sunday.  Adding the nearly hour drive each way and we were gone from the house for almost 17 hours.  It was a successful day though.  TRPD finished 2nd in the tournament.  Evan threw a runner out trying to steal second each day.  It was his first tournament back where he was able to throw.  Rachel was able to come and watch one game.

This morning when we got up, it was really foggy.  Noah and I walked to school in it.  Rachel said that the traffic was moving slowly to school.  She normally doesn't hit traffic but I guess the fog slowed everyone down.

I went into HomeAway later in the morning.  I came back a bit earlier so I could stop and vote.  It took a long time.  From the time I got out of my car until the time that I got back in my car was an hour and 10 minutes.

Rachel had come home for the early afternoon, but left before I got home to tutor two students.

For dinner, Evan went to Grandma and Papa's.  I picked him up after he ate and took him to a hitting lesson.

Noah ate while I was gone and then Rachel and I had leftovers when we got home.

The boys are getting ready for bed now.

Until next time...

Camp Champions

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

The fifth grade class always goes to a place called Camp Champions.  They stay one night in cabins there and they do outdoor activities.  I think they may learn some science-type stuff.  Evan went two years ago and Noah's class is there now.  I had to get him to school no later than 7am this morning.  We got there around 6:50am.  He was not even close to the first kid there.

I got home in time to say goodbye to Rachel when she left for school.  Evan left for the bus shortly after.

I did some work and then went into Touch To.

I came home so I could have time to eat lunch and then pick Noah up from school only to remember that I didn't need to pick Noah up from school.  Rachel was already home and she was resting.

After Evan got home, I took him for another doctor/therapy appointment for his arm.  It's looking good and he doesn't have any restrictions playing this weekend.  We came home and we were able to have a catch without any arm pain.  All of that is good news.

We had dinner together.  Then Rachel brushed both Chewie and Calvin.  Rachel is starting to do that because both of them have longer fur and get knots in their fur.

Evan is upstairs and Rachel is doing some work.

Until next time...

Halloween 2018

This morning we walked Noah to school.

I was at my school from about 11:30 - 1:30 and then I came home.

I drove with Chewie to pick up Noah from school.

We ate an early dinner (corned beef) around 5:30 and starting trick-or-treating about 6:00.  Noah's friend Grayson joined us.

It was raining for about the first hour, but then it stopped.

We stopped trick-or-treating around 8:45pm.

The kids each got 11.5 pounds of candy!

Now everyone is getting ready for bed.

It was a fun night.

Another long, long day

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning, just Chewie and I walked Noah to school.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Rachel goes into school early.

I drove into Touch To and worked from there for a while. I planned on being there all day but I ran into an issue on the HomeAway stuff I was working on and had to drive into HomeAway.

On the way, I met Rachel at the Toyota dealership so I could sign the papers that allow me to drive her car.  Rachel has to renew the loaner every 30 days so that's why she was there.  Rachel then drove back to school where she had a staff meeting.

Rachel didn't come home because she started tutoring right after the staff meeting.

I got home just in time to walk and get Noah.  Then I worked for an hour and half before I took the boys to get hair cuts.

After getting their hair cut, we got dinner and then they had a hitting lesson at TRPD.

We're home now and the boys are playing.  Rachel is still out tutoring.  She should be home soon.

Until next time...

Sunny Weekend

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

The sun has finally emerged in Austin.  And today, they were even able to remove the boil water notice!

Yesterday, Noah had a flag football game in the morning.  It was cold at the start of the game, but warmed up quickly.  Noah has developed a specialty of blitzing the quarterback.  Last week, the quarterback did not complete a single pass when Noah blitzed.  Yesterday, Noah was even more successful.  While he didn't get a "sack", the QB just threw the ball up twice when Noah blitzed and it was intercepted and run back for a touchdown.  His team won easily.  It was really nice seeing Noah have that success.

Noah had a birthday party to go to in the afternoon.

While Noah was at the birthday party, I took Evan to his baseball games.  His arm was still hurting so he couldn't play a position where had to throw.  He batted only in the first game.  In the second game, he played first base.  He's a pretty good first baseman so I think he enjoyed being out there playing.  They lost both games.

Evan's friend and teammate, Josh, came home with us and stayed over night.

Evan, Josh and I left early in the morning for today's baseball game.  We stopped at Donut Taco Palace on the way.

Evan's arm felt somewhat better, so he played in the left and right fields.  He got the ball three or four times and they limited the distance he had to throw.  Unfortunately, they lost the game.

After the game, we met Evan's friend and teammate, Angelo and his family at Popeye's.  It was a nice time.

Rachel took Noah to another birthday party.  This party was ice skating.  Rachel stayed at the party.  Then they went to a Wonders & Worries Halloween party.  Finally, Rachel dropped Noah off at Sunday School.

For dinner, Rachel and I picked Noah up at Sunday School.  Then we went to a restaurant called Bamboo Bistro.

We had to stop at Target on the way home to get some stuff for a blog post for Rachel's blog.

The boys are upstairs playing now.

Until next time...

Driving All Over

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

We were able to walk Noah to school today.  It had rained overnight but the rain held off long enough for us to walk to school.  It started to drizzle shortly after we got home.

I went into HomeAway in the morning, then went to Touch To for a meeting.  From there, I drove home and stopped long enough to get Evan.  Then we drove to Cooper's house and picked him up and went to Lakeway for Evan's baseball practice.

Rachel taught in the afternoon, drove and picked Noah up because it was raining.  She tutored in the afternoon.

We got home at the same time and made dinner.

The boys are upstairs playing now.

Until next time...

Still Boiling, Evan's OK

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Day 2 of boiling our water continued.  We boiled enough yesterday that we actually didn't have to boil anything today.  People are definitely freaking out here.

It was raining (of course) when we got up this morning.  Chewie and I drove Noah the trail and dropped him off.  It was just drizzling so he didn't mind walking the trail.  But it was still too wet to walk.

Rachel didn't come as she has early days on Tuesdays and Thursday for teaching.

I went into Touch To today.

I left a bit early and picked Evan up from school.  I took him to see a Sports Therapy doctor.  He's the one who works with TRPD.  He was great.  He was able to show us that Evan had hurt his ligament from his tricep to his elbow.  It was a bit inflamed and irritated.  He worked on it to ease the swelling.  He gave Evan several exercises to do, and he has to alternate cold and heat.  He has another appointment on Friday morning to see how he's doing and for the doctor to work on him some more.  And then he'll have to come in one more time next week.  He won't be able to play in the field this weekend but he has a chance at playing in the field at a tournament next weekend.

Rachel picked Noah up and then dropped him off at home.  Then she left to tutor.

I came home and worked for a while.  The boys played upstairs.

We grilled chicken for dinner and roasted garlic to put on a loaf of bread that Evan and I picked up after his appointment.

Evan is doing his exercises and watching the World Series.  I guess when Evan can't play baseball, he watches it.

Until next time...

Boiling Water

This morning, we had an email and several notifications on Facebook about the alert to boil water before using it.  We have had a lot of rain here and the city cannot clean the water fast enough.  At 6:30am there were already posts about stores being out of bottled water and lines around the block.

Luckily we had a little bit of bottled water already in the house and then we boiled several pots of water to last through the day.

The alert is still in effect and as of now, school is still on for tomorrow.  They had to make changes to the school lunches and several restaurants are stores either closed or had a limited menu today.

We walked Noah to school this morning.

I went for a short, slow run.

Morry went into work and I went to my work.

I got home a little after 2pm and drove to pick up Noah from school with Chewie.

My tutoring was canceled today.

The kids played outside with Brodie for a little bit this afternoon.

I dropped off Noah at his football practice and Morry picked him up.

When Morry was leaving the practice to bring Noah back home, his car wouldn't start.  I had to drive over so that we could jump start it.  From there, he went to NTB to get a new battery.

I fed the kids dinner at home.

When Morry got home we ate dinner.

The boys are playing video games now, but in a few minutes, they will get ready for bed.

That's a Wrap on the Weekend

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Evan's baseball tournament was cancelled for yesterday and they just did a one-day tournament today.  Noah still had a football game yesterday.  It didn't rain yesterday, but everything was very wet.  Luckily the football field was in good shape.

Noah was a defensive force.  They would line him up 7 yards off the football and have him blitz.  The rule is you have to be 7 yards away from the line of scrimmage to blitz.  Three times, Noah pulled the flag of the running back just after they took the ball from the quarterback.  While he didn't sack the quarterback at all, he was constantly in the quarterback's face or causing him to have to throw while running leading to poor throws.  When Noah blitzed, the QB didn't complete one pass. Noah's team won easily.

Evan, Noah and I met Alex and Jake Ramati at the movies last night to see Venom.  Jake is Noah's friend from 6 Points.  We had a nice time.

Rachel went to a CBD oil event for influencers with Deborah.  Then she and Deborah got dinner.

This morning, Evan and I got up early to go play in the tournament.  Two weeks ago, Evan had hurt his arm while pitching.  He really hasn't thrown since then until Friday night.  After Friday night, he said it hurt again.  We iced it yesterday and gave him Advil.  This morning, to be proactive, I gave him Advil and had ice on his arm on the way to the games.  He thought he'd be able to go, but during warm ups, he realized he couldn't throw.  He batted in both games, but he couldn't be in the field.  In the first game, he was the one calling the pitches by sending the signs into the catcher.  They won the first game in a shut out.  Evan took some credit for calling a good game.  In the second game, Evan was quite loud directing the kids where to stand or telling them when/where to throw.  He looked like a coach in the dugout.  It was pretty funny to see.

We brought his teammate Josiah back from the game and met his dad at Raising Cane's.  Evan got lunch there.

The boys both played outside with the neighborhood kids.  It was the first nice day we've had in a while.

For dinner, the boys didn't want to go out so we left them at home and both Rachel and I ate at Madam Mam's.

The boys are getting ready for bed now.

Until next time...

The Cold and Rain Continues

This morning Morry and Chewie walked Noah to school.

I was at my school from about 8-12 today.

When I came home I got some stuff done around the house.

Morry and Chewie walked to get Noah from school.

We took it easy this afternoon.  We did not have any activities going on.

For dinner, we had matzoh ball soup and leftover Coke ham.

For dessert, we made shaved ice with a new snow cone maker I was sent for the blog.

Now the boys are playing some until bedtime.

Continued Wet and Cold

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

It wasn't actively raining when we got up this morning, but it had rained over night, it was cold and still wet outside.  We decided to drive.  We didn't go to the front of the school, we dropped Noah off at the trail.

Later in the morning, I went into HomeAway.  I had four meetings there today.  Two were late so I wasn't going to be able to take Evan to practice.  Unfortunately, after I got to HomeAway, I realized that Evan's bag was in my car.  So at lunch, in between meetings, I drove home and dropped his bag off in the garage.

It was raining in the afternoon, so Rachel drove to pick Noah up.

When Evan got home, Rachel took him over to Cooper's house.  Evan was catching a ride with Cooper to practice.  Then Rachel went to a student's house for tutoring.

I picked up Evan from Cooper's house later.

For dinner, we just pulled leftovers out of the freezer and ate that.

The boys are upstairs playing now.

Until next time...

Hitting Lesson

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Again, it was raining this morning.  Chewie and I drove Noah to school.  Then I drove Evan to the bus stop.  Chewie did not come on that trip.

I went into Touch To today.  I had some meetings there.

I came home and made lunch and had a conference call.  Rachel came home from teaching.  She had stopped at HEB on the way home.

Rachel quickly unloaded the food from HEB and then took Grandma, Papa, Uncle Jay and Aunt Dian to the airport.  They are going to Europe.

From there, Rachel started her tutoring.

Evan, Noah and I went to TRPD for hitting lessons.  Noah did well.  He really seems to get it.  I think if he wanted to, he could be a good hitter.  He seemed to enjoy it.

We came home shortly after Rachel got home and then we made dinner.

The boys are having hot apple cider and then they'll get ready for bed.

Until next time...

News Story Airs

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

A cold front blew in over night.  The temperature went from the upper 80s, yesterday, into the 40s today.  I honestly don't remember an October day as cold as it's been in Austin since I moved here.  This is my twenty-first fall in Austin.  It was raining at the time we needed to take Noah to school so we drove him.  I also drove Evan to the bus stop and he jumped out when the bus came.

The news story that was filmed last Monday aired today after we got home from taking Noah to school.  You can see the story here:

http://www.fox7austin.com/good-day/breast-cancer-survivor-talks-about-brca

I went into HomeAway for a meeting this morning.  Rachel rested until she had to go to teach.

Rachel and I both got home around 2:30.  It was still raining so we drove to get Noah.

After Evan got home, Rachel left to go to tutoring.

For dinner we had steak from the EasyPlate meals.

The boys are upstairs cleaning up.

Until next time...

Quick Trip + Sushi

Yesterday Morry and Evan went to Mansfield, outside of Dallas for a baseball tournament.

Last night, since it was just Noah and me, I asked Noah what he wanted for dinner.  He said he wanted sushi, so we tried a revolving sushi restaurant.  We had a nice time.  Look below for the video.  After dinner, we went to the bookstore next door.  It was a Japanese bookstore that had gifts and books with an Asian theme, but also American and English products as well.

This morning Noah had an 8am football game and had to be there at 7:30.  He and his team played well. They won 28-6.

There had been a lot of rain in the Dallas area and this morning, they canceled the baseball tournament.

Morry and Evan ate breakfast with the team and then drove back to Austin.  2 other boys rode in the car with them and came back to our house.  Then, 2 more boys were dropped off here as well.

The last kid was picked up a little after 7pm.

We ate dinner at Panera.

Now the boys are playing some video games.

Full Day

This morning Morry and Chewie walked Noah to school.

I was at my school from 8am - 12 noon and then went to H-E-B before going home.

Morry and I walked with Chewie to get Noah from school.  Noah had a field trip today and it sounded like he had fun.

Noah played outside with Brodie this afternoon.

For dinner we made and Everyplate beef sandwich meal.  The kids ate well.

After dinner, we went to the Thrift Store to look for items for the kids' Halloween costumes.   Evan wants to be Marty McFly and Noah wants to be Doc from Back to the Future.  We were able to find some good stuff for Evan, but nothing for Noah.  I think we'll have to shop online for Noah.  Does anyone have a lab coat we can borrow?  :)

Here a picture from tonight.

Soon the boys will get ready for bed.

Everyone Busy on a Wednesday

This morning we walked Noah to school.

I didn't have to be at school until 12:30 since the kids had PSAT this morning.

I drove to pick up Noah from school and dropped him off at Grandma and Papa's house.

I tutored 2 students this afternoon and got home around 8pm.

While I was out, Morry took Evan to baseball practice and then stopped at Grandma and Papa's house to get Noah on the way home.

Morry and I ate leftovers for dinner when we got home.

Now the kids are getting ready for bed.

Tuesday Like a Monday

This morning Morry and Chewie walked to school with Noah.  I didn't go since I had to be at my school.

After I taught and did study hall I went to the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls lunch at Whole Foods.

I got home about an hour before it was time to get Noah, so I tried to rest a little bit.

We drove to pick up Noah since it was raining.

When we got home I left for tutoring.  I tutored 3 students and got home around 7:30.

Morry fed the kids dinner and then we made dinner, an EveryPlate pork meatballs dish, when I got home.

The boys are getting ready for bed soon.

Parent-Teacher Conference and the News

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

The boys didn't have school today for Columbus Day.  They were able to sleep in.  I slept in a bit before I had to get up and feed the animals.

With it being a teacher in-service day, the parent-teacher conferences are held.  It's not really like a one-on-one.  The child shows you their work and you can talk to the teachers for a bit.  I took Noah in and saw his work.  His main teachers like him and had really nice things to say about him.  They talked about how happy and how laid back he is and how smart he is.  I spoke to his math teacher about making sure he's challenged and we talked about having Noah in Algebra by seventh grade.  It was a good conference and Noah is doing well.

The Fox 7 Morning Show came to our house to do a follow-up on Rachel and talk about the BRCA 1 Gene Mutation.  So they came to our house and interviewed Rachel and then took some shots of us in the house including Chewie.  They had already arrived by the time I got home with Noah.

I went into HomeAway after that.  Rachel left to tutor.  The boys stayed home.

For dinner, Evan went to Grandma and Papa's.

Rachel, Noah and I had grilled chicken and couscous.

The boys are upstairs and will be getting ready for bed soon.

Until next time...

New Car

This morning I left the house before 7:30 to get to my 8:00 class, so just Morry and Chewie walked Noah to school.

After my school duties were over, I got to the car dealership around 12:30.  They have a new car for me to drive.  I turned my old Highlander in and got a new 2018 one with just 82 miles on it.  It's silver on the outside and black inside.

I drove with Chewie to get Noah from school.

Morry was out all day with work stuff and he had an even tonight so it was just the boys and me for dinner.

We got another one of those Everyplate meal kits.  Evan chose the steak dinner, so I made that for us.  The boys really liked the meal.

Morry got home around 8pm.

Now the boys are getting ready for bed.

Here are a few pictures.

Middle of the Week

This morning we walked to take Noah to school.

After that, I took it easy at home for a little bit.

I had a phone meeting at 10am and then at 10:30am Anna picked me up to go to school.

I got home around 2:00.

I drove to pick up Noah from school and the dropped him off at Grandma and Papa's house.

Shortly after Evan got home he and Morry left for baseball practice.

Noah was ready to be picked up at about 7pm.

When we got home I started making dinner and Morry and Evan got home just a few minutes later.

We ate dinner.  Morry and Evan had pasta.  I had fish and green beans.

Soon the boys should be getting ready for bed.

Oh, and today is the 1 year anniversary of when we got Chewie!

Back to Work

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Rachel had gotten up very early yesterday to walk at the Race for the Cure.  So this morning, she slept in and did not come with me to take Noah to school.  Part of the reason is that Rachel knew that she was going to be going back to work for the first time.  She wanted to make sure she was well-rested for that.

A woman from the neighborhood also teaches at the Austin Tennis Academy.  She picked Rachel up around 10am to carpool in.  She also brought Rachel home at the end of the day.  Rachel was tired but it went well.

I went into HomeAway for a few hours in the morning.

In the afternoon, Rachel rested some more while I walked to get Noah.

Noah had flag football practice and Evan went to Grandma and Papa's for dinner in the late afternoon.

Rachel, Noah and I had chicken tacos for dinner.

We just got back from walking to pick Evan up.

Until next time...

Another Last

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

With Noah in 5th grade, and this being our eighth and final year at Clayton Elementary School, we're noting all the lasts that we're doing.  So today, when Noah and I walked to school, we realized this was the last time we'd ever walk to school in the morning for school in September.

I worked from home in the morning and then left for HomeAway around mid-morning.  We had a meeting and then a team lunch.

Rachel went to a luncheon celebrating Breast Cancer Survivors today.  One of the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls that lives near us, picked Rachel up and brought her.

Rachel and I got home around the same time.  We got Chewie and walked to get Noah from school.

I worked from home, in the afternoon, and then took Evan to baseball practice.  Actually it wasn't practice as the fields were not available tonight.  They put on a clinic on managing money and understanding how to save money for the boys.  They had all four teams there - the 13U, 14U, 16U and 18U.  Perhaps Evan is a little too young for that, but it's good for him to hear.

Evan and I picked up MOD pizza on the way home for all of us. We came home and ate together.

The boys are upstairs playing and then they'll get ready for bed soon.

Until next time...

Family Get-together

Last night I spent the night at Grandma and Papa's house.

This morning around 11am Lorena picked me up and we went out to lunch at Snooze.

Morry, Chewie, and I walked to get Noah from school.

From 6-7pm both Evan and Noah had a baseball lesson.  They said it went well.

At 7:30, we met at Grandma and Papa's house for dinner.  Michael is in town for work.  Aunt Susan and Aaron's family came as well.

We got home a little while ago.

Evan is finishing homework and then the kids will get ready for bed.

Recovering + Getting Back on Schedule

Last night I spent the night at Grandma and Papa's so that I could get some rest.

I spent most of the day resting and doing a little bit of blog work.

Morry was out at a work conference.

I drove with Chewie to pick up Noah from school.

Grandma picked up Noah on her way home from book club.

I drove Evan to Coopers so that they could take him to baseball and then I tutored two students in the neighborhood.  I figured that was a good start to ease back in.

For dinner Morry and Evan had pasta and I had a leftover hamburger.

We just got home from walking to Grandma and Papa's to pick up Noah.

Noah is doing homework now and Evan's playing video games.

Post Surgery

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

We're now four days removed from Rachel's surgery and she's improving.  I think she still is tired and she hurts at times.  That said, this is nothing like the surgery she had in 2015.  She's making steady improvement each day.

Also, today is the 9th anniversary of Rachel's cancer diagnosis or cancerversary, as they say.  It's hard to believe it was 9 years ago.

This morning, Rachel walked with, Noah, Chewie and me to school.  It was good that she was able to walk.  She laid down for a while after we came home.

I went into HomeAway for just a bit today.

When I got home, we went to a coffee shop called Radio to celebrate the 9 years.  There was a taco truck outside where we got tacos.

Rachel stayed home while I walked to get Noah after school.

Rachel looked good when we got home.  Even Noah said so.  Rachel was able to do some work in the afternoon for her blog.

Evan came home and stayed for a while before he went to Grandma's for dinner.

We had burgers for dinner.  Noah helped me cook them.

Then we walked and picked Evan up.

The boys will be going to bed soon.

Until next time...

Rachel's Back to School Night

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Both Rachel and I were able to walk Noah to school today.  I worked from home for a little while and then went into HomeAway.

Rachel left later in the morning to teach.

I had a meeting at HomeAway and could not get home in time to pick Noah up.  Just Rachel went to get him with Chewie.

I got home a few minutes before Evan got home.  Rachel was leaving around that time to tutor.  Noah and I took Evan to practice.  Then we went to a coffee shop during practice.

Rachel had tutoring and then she had to go to ATA for her Back to School Night.  I don't know how it's set up or how it works.

From there she went to tutor another student.

Evan, Noah and I went to Tucci's Southside Subs for dinner.

We're home now and the boys are upstairs playing.

Until next time...

This week so far

Yesterday, I had a very early haircut/color appointment at 7am. From there I went to school.

Morry walked Noah to school.

Evan called us from school saying he wasn't feeling well. Since Morry and I were not near home and I was about to teach a class, Papa picked up Evan and dropped him off at home.   Papa got him some challah rolls from their house.

After I got home, I walked to get Noah.  Morry was in a phone meeting.

Then, I went to tutor.

We had leftovers for dinner.

Today, I had my early class so just Morry (and Chewie) walked Noah to school.

Evan was feeling a little better so he went to school.

I was at school for most of the day since we also had a staff meeting.  In between my study hall and staff meeting I quickly picked up a few things at HEB.

I got home around 2:30 and then drove to pick up Noah from school since I had to be back in time to leave for tutoring.

I tutored 3 students tonight and got home around 7:15.

The boys played outside some this evening and noticed we have a few pecans growing on our pecan tree.

Morry and the kids had pasta tonight and I had leftovers from Cheddars.

Now the boys are getting ready for bed.

Rainy Weekend

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

The rain continues here in Austin.  I don't know completely sure how many straight days of rain we've had, but I'm thinking it's about 14 straight days after today.  It doesn't rain all day every day, but we're having huge downpours at a time.  It rained enough on Friday that Evan's baseball was canceled all weekend.

Saturday, Evan ended up having practice at the facility.  I drove Evan out there and stayed talking to other fathers.  We stopped at Smoothie King on the way home.

Right as we were heading home, Rachel left to meet some women from the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls.  It was an informal get-together with the women who live south of the city.

We had a lazy afternoon.  I did some work later in the afternoon.

Then Rachel and I made dinner from the Easy Plate.  After dinner, we watched Timeless.

This morning, Rachel went to a brunch.  The boys and I stayed home.

Papa came over to see if he could adjust one of the adult bikes for Evan to use.  Evan is starting to get tall enough for the adult bikes.  He ran into an issue where a screw was not allowing the seat to go all the way down.  I think if it had, Evan could have used the bike.  As it stands, we adjusted the seat on his bike, so it's more comfortable.

The boys had Sunday School this afternoon.

For dinner, we picked up the boys from Sunday School and went to Cheddar's next door.  Rachel has worked out a deal to get a free dinner.  Rachel's parents were supposed to come but a mix-up made it so they had to decline.  Since we had said 6 people, we invited Rita and Alan from across the street.  Alan couldn't make it so Blanca took his place.  The food was really good.

The boys are getting ready for bed now.

Until next time...

I got home around 1pm.

We walked to pick up Noah.

Evan's practice was moved to tonight.

When Morry and Evan got home from practice we made steak for dinner.

Now the boys are getting ready for bed.

Still Quite Busy

This morning we walked to take Noah to school.

I had a phone meeting with the rabbi this morning to discuss possible options for a Bar Mitzvah for Evan.

I left the house around 10am for school and got home a little after 2pm.

We walked to get Noah and then he went to Grandma and Papa's house.

Shortly after Evan got home I left for tutoring.

When I got home, Evan, Morry, and I ate dinner together and then I left again to tutor.

While I was gone Morry picked up Noah from Grandma and Papa's.

Now the boys are playing some video games before bed.

Quite Busy

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Tuesday and Thursdays are Rachel's early days going to school, so just Noah and I walked to school (and Chewie of course).  Rachel was gone by the time I got back home.

I was home for a little while before I went into Touch To.  At lunch time, I went and looked at a car for a long time friend who lives out of state.  She's interested in a used car here in Austin and is willing to fly in to get it but asked if I could help out.  The car was nice.  I took pictures and gave her a report.  I don't know what she'll do.

I stopped by HEB on my way home and got some things for dinner.  Rachel got home shortly before me.

Rachel had to go to tutoring so just Chewie and I walked to school to get Noah.

I had a couple phone meetings in the afternoon.

For dinner we had ham and I grilled corn on the cob.

The boys are upstairs.  They'll get ready for bed soon.

Until next time...

Another Week Starts

This morning we walked Noah to school.

I left the house around 10am to go to school.  I was there until 4:00.  Then, I stopped at HEB and from there went to tutor.

Morry picked up Noah from school while I was gone.

Grayson came by after school to hang out with Noah.

A little while after Evan got home he went to Grandma and Papa's house.  They went out to eat at Me Con Bistro.

For our dinner, we made chicken fajita tacos.

Grandma and Papa dropped off Evan at home after they finished eating.

Soon the boys will get ready for bed.

Games On and Then Games Off

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Evan played baseball in a tournament for the first time since June yesterday.  It was for the Blue team of TRPD which is the "B" team.  The weather forecast called for rain, but the rain held out long enough to get their two games in.  Evan had a long at-bat in his first at-bat fouling 5 pitches off before ultimately popping up.  In his second at-bat, which was the top of the last inning and his team down 3-1, Evan came up with a man on and no outs.  His coach called for a surprise bunt.  Evan waited until just as the pitcher threw the ball to show bunt and laid down a perfect bunt.  He caught the other team off guard and ended up beating the throw for a single.  After he crossed first base, he turned around and squeeze his chest and arms together with his hands in fists and screamed "Yeah!" The entire bench of his team went crazy cheering.  It ignited a 4-run rally to take the lead.  In the bottom of the inning, they brought Evan into pitch.  He got the first batter to ground weakly to him and threw the runner out and then struck out the next to batters to preserve the win.

The second game didn't go well.  Evan caught and he did a fine job.  He didn't like the umpire's strike zone and I think the umpire knew and so while there wasn't an explicit argument between Evan and the umpire, there was definitely a tension and he wasn't giving Evan the calls.  Evan was definitely frustrated.

After the game, we came home and relaxed.  We went to Buffet Palace for dinner.

I woke up early this morning because Chewie needed to go out.  I let him out and noticed it was pouring rain.  At that point the tournament had not been cancelled.  I got up when my alarm went off an hour later and checked my email.  It said that the games were delayed one hour.  I came downstairs to feed Chewie.  About 30 minutes after that an email came that the games were all cancelled.

I worked for some of the morning and early afternoon.  The boys played upstairs all morning long.  Rachel did some cleaning this morning.

After lunch, Brody came over and asked Evan and Noah to play.  They all went outside and played for a few hours.

For dinner, we made an EveryPlate meal.  Then we went to Bahama Buck's for dessert. They were giving out double punches on your punch card since it was raining.

The boys are getting ready for bed.

Until next time...

This week

This week we were pretty busy.  I worked more hours this week since I'm subbing and covering for a teacher that is out of town.  I'm subbing tomorrow and Monday for her as well.

Yesterday, I was at school from 10:30am - 4:00pm.  Straight from there, I tutored 2 different students. Then, I picked up Noah from Grandma and Papa's house.  Was home for a few minutes and went back out to tutor another student.

Evan had baseball practice yesterday and got a ride home from Cooper.  Morry had a fantasy football draft last night.

Today, I did not walk Noah to school since I teach on Tuesdays and Thursday at 8am.

After I was done with my school duties around noon I went to Charles Maund to sign the monthly papers and get my oil changed.

Morry and I walked to pick up Noah today.

This afternoon, there were no activities going on for once.

This evening, we went to H-E-B to buy groceries, get graph paper for Evan, and pick out some food for dinner.

Now the boys are getting ready for bed.

Labor Day Weekend

Early Friday morning, we woke up at 1:50am and drove to Dallas for our 7:40am flight to Pittsburgh for Dora's Bat Mitzvah.

After getting our luggage in Pittsburgh we took the bus to our hotel which was near the Pitt and CMU campus.

We walked got lunch at a deli/sandwich shop, which the kids loved.  Then, we walked around campus.

At night, there was a Shabbat service and then dinner.

Saturday morning was the Bat Mitzvah.  Morry had the honor of holding the Torah.  Dora did a great job.

We took it easy in the afternoon at the hotel.

The party on Saturday night was at a private school.  They had a DJ as well as a photo booth and caricature artist.

Sunday morning there was a brunch at the hotel.

After that, we walked around town.  We walked to Eat N Park to get Smiley cookies and then to Mike and Darcy's house.  Mike gave us a ride back to the hotel and then to the airport.

We arrived in Dallas around 8pm and we drove back to Austin.  It was a little after midnight by the time we got home on Sunday night.

We took it easy most of the day on Monday.

At 4:00 we went to Uncle Marvin and Aunt Sandy's house for a Labor Day dinner.  Grandma and Papa rode with us.

This morning it was back to a full day of work and school.

Evan ate dinner at Grandma and Papa's.

Morry is at Evan's Back to School night now.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

Ultrasound

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

After walking Noah to school, Rachel took Calvin to the vet.  He needed to have an ultrasound to understand why he's losing so much weight.  They wanted to watch him during the day while they were waiting for the ultrasound tech to get there in the afternoon.

Rachel came home and rested for a bit before she went to her first day of teaching this year.

I went into HomeAway today.  I had a meeting and was not able to get home in time to walk to pick Noah up.  Rachel got him and he went to Grandma's house.

I came home after Rachel got home.  Evan got home a little while later.

Around 4:15 we heard from the vet that Calvin has swelling in his intestines with some swelling in his lymph nodes.  They are not entirely sure what it is without a biopsy but they put him on steroids and some antibiotics.  We're hoping that will help him.  Evan and I went to pick Calvin up.

As soon as we got home, we dropped Calvin off and then I took Evan to baseball practice.  Rachel tutored while we were there.

Rachel and I met at Grandma's and picked Noah up.  Then we came home and had dinner.

The boys are in bed.

Until next time...

I got some stuff done around the house and tried to rest a little.  Tomorrow is my first day back to teaching.

I drove to pick up Noah from school since I had to leave the house at 3:15 for tutoring.

I tutored 3 students today.  One was a new student in our neighborhood.

I got home around 7:15pm and we had corned beef and baked potatoes for dinner.

The boys are playing video games now but should be getting ready for bed soon.

Back to Sunday School

This morning Morry and the boys were going to the Ramati's for their fantasy football draft.  They picked up bagels from Wholy Bagel on their way over there.

While they were done, I cleaned and made lunches for the week.  I also took Chewie for a walk.

They got home a little before 3pm.

Today, was the first Sunday School of the school year.   We got there at 4pm and they had a parent meeting.  Then, Morry and I went to Whole Foods and came back toward the end. Grandma and Papa met us there.  There was a song session and then the kids ate the cake they decorated.

For dinner we went to Me Con Bistro.

Felix

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Yesterday morning, Rachel and I took all three animals to the vet for their checkups.  All three animals seemed pretty scared.  Chewie and Flash were very healthy.  Calvin has lost some weight and we're investigating what it could be. He'll need an ultrasound to look at things.

I think Chewie was still a little drained from yesterday because he slept in a full hour longer than normal.  And then he came back to bed after Rachel fed him.

Later in the morning, I took Evan to a scrimmage.  His team scrimmaged the other 13U team from TRPD.  Although as a catcher they had him catch both the top and bottom of an inning to speed things up.  Evan played well.  He didn't get many opportunities but he did have an RBI and scored a run in his two at-bats.

We got Chick-Fil-A and then drove down south to meet the family that adopted Chewie's brother.  Chewie's brother is named Felix.  We met them at a dog facility that had an indoor play area.  Chewie was so excited to see his brother.  We spent about an hour with there talking with Felix's "parents" and letting the dogs play.  They looked almost exactly alike.  It was hard to figure out which dog was which unless you saw their collars.  It was crazy.  It seemed like Chewie was a bit goofier and he seemed to prefer to play with dogs.  Felix preferred so spend time around people.  But in general they were really similar.

Chewie has been exhausted the rest of the day.

We made dinner and the boys are playing Fortnite now.

Until next time...

Another Long Day

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

I worked from home most of the morning.  Rachel went into school around the same time as she did yesterday.  It was nice being home in the morning but I had afternoon meetings at HomeAway.

Rachel got home in time to get Noah from school.

My meeting lasted until nearly 5.  HomeAway is far north so it took me almost an hour to get home in traffic.

Rachel had a quick sandwich and then went to Starbucks to meet a woman.

I made dinner for the boys and me.

Right now Evan is playing guitar in my office as I type this.  Rachel is still out.

Until next time...

Nico

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning we walked Noah to school.  Chewie is so funny on the walk.  He is so excited.  His tail is up the whole time, and he prances.  He loves to go to school.

When we got home, we put Chewie in the house and then we walked across the street and got Nico from our neighbors house.  Nico is a golden retriever that is 6 months older than Chewie.  Chewie loves him.  They needed someone to watch him today so we brought him to our house.  The two dogs were crazy.  They just played as much as they could.  They're both the same color, the have the same shaped face and are roughly the same size.  Nico is a little taller but they are both the same length.  Additionally, they both have black collars.  So when they were really playing, sometimes it was confusing which dog was which.  If they laid down it was easy to tell but when you just seem two dogs jump on each other, it was hard.

Rachel had to go to school early today.  They had staff meetings to get ready for the start of their school which is next week.

I left later in the morning and put the dogs in crates.  Luckily we have a second crate.

When Rachel got home, she brought Nico to his backyard and took Chewie to get Noah.  Then she brought Nico back over when she got home.  She just wasn't able to walk with both dogs and she didn't want to put Nico back in the crate.

Noah went to Grandma and Papa's after school.

I came home and Rachel left to go to tutoring just after Evan came home.  After she left, Evan and I returned Nico home and left to go to his baseball practice.

I met two fathers at a bar/restaurant during practice.  It was a nice time.

On the way home from practice I picked up Noah.

Rachel made dinner from one of those places like BlueApron (but not BlueApron).  She got the meals free as part of the blog.  This one was steak and potatoes.  It was pretty good.

The boys are in bed now.

Until next time...
