Is it ever going to get better?

Noah put up a big fight this morning. I had to wake him up to get ready for school and he did not want to go. He was screaming and crying. I had a really hard time getting him dressed. I couldn’t put his shoes on so I just brought them in the car with us. He complained all the way to school and started crying harder when we got to school. I had to carry both backpacks and Noah into the building. We dropped of Evan first and then Noah. The teacher had to hold Noah back as I was leaving so that I could get out the door.

When I got home I went for a 3 mile run.

I cleaned downstairs. I vacuumed and mopped. I also went to HEB.

Straight from HEB I picked up the boys at school.

I got Noah first. They said he had a good day. I had accidently switched their lunches in all of the commotion this morning. Noah ate the whole peanut butter and jelly sandwich I had meant to pack for Evan. Poor Evan, got hotdog, which he doesn’t like. But there was other stuff in the lunchbox he could eat.

When we got home Evan ate 3 Hawaiian rolls that I had just bought at HEB.

I tried putting Noah down for a nap, but he wouldn’t sleep.

Blanca came over at 3:45. I tutored 2 students and got home around 6:30.

For dinner we had roasted chicken, rice, and bread with roasted garlic. The boys had macaroni and cheese.

We gave the boys baths and put them to bed. Both are still awake. Evan’s at the top of the stairs talking to me. Noah’s at his gate.

Last day of School

Today was Evan’s last day of school in the 3 year-old class. There is no school Thursday and then the new school year starts next week. Noah will be starting school too.

Blanca came at 9:30 to watch Noah. I took Evan to school and then tutored at the library.

After tutoring I went grocery shopping at Sprouts.

I picked up Evan and then we came home.

Evan wanted to play with Gabby so I asked if she could stay about 15 minutes more.

When Gabby left I put Noah down for a nap and started making dinner. I decided to make stuffed peppers, so I got some of the inside stuff ready so there wouldn’t be much to do later.

Noah napped for a while. Evan watched TV.

The sink got clogged, but Morry was able to unclog it by using a plunger.

For dinner we at the stuffed bell peppers and the boys had macaroni and cheese.

We just gave the boys baths and put them to bed. Evan just came downstairs to get some water.

For some reason Evan started saying “Oh ____” and putting different words in. First he said, “Oh Pickles.” Now, I’m hearing him say “Oh, Numbers”.

Star Peppers

This morning we went to playgroup. I enjoyed having some adult time. Evan and Noah had fun playing with new toys. Noah ate a ton of the goldfish crackers they had put out.

When we got home Evan and Noah played outside while I got lunch ready. They insisted on eating at the picnic table under their playscape. Noah didn’t eat very much, but Evan ate well. I also make smoothies for all of us.

At naptime Noah wasn’t sleeping for some reason. I was getting some stuff done downstairs and all of the sudden I heard Evan and Noah playing in the gameroom. I had to put Noah back to bed. He fought it a little, but eventually ended up napping.

When Morry got home we ordered dinner from Hula Hut through Eat Out In. While we were waiting for the food to be delivered we took the boys out front. Evan rode his bike twice around the block and rode his scooter a little too. Noah rode his tricycle just a little bit. He doesn’t like to put his feet on the pedals and it makes it very hard to push him.

Dinner was good. We made sports mac and cheese for the boys and I cut up a bell pepper for them. I thought I’d try using a cookie cutter on the bell pepper and worked. So the boys had star peppers.

We gave the boys baths and just put them to bed.

Swimming

This morning Morry let me sleep in. I must have been really tired. I slept for a long time.

We took Evan and Noah to the gym around noon. We had planned on working out and then swimming. The boys had gotten up early this morning and we were worried about being out too long, so we decided just to go swimming and skip the workout. The outdoor pool was open. That was the first time we went out there. Evan and Noah played in the pool for a few minutes and then we ordered some food from the outdoor café. Noah got hotdog, Evan got peanut butter and jelly, Morry had chicken tenders, and I had a turkey sandwich. Once we finished eating, Evan and Noah played in the pool a little more.

When we got home we put Noah down for a nap. Evan watched tv downstairs.

For dinner we all had different things. Morry had leftover pizza, I had salad and meatballs, the boys had mac and cheese.

Evan and Noah played for a little while after dinner while we cleaned up.

We just put the boys to bed.

Home Slice

We decided to have an early lunch at Home Slice Pizza today (Morry and Papa’s favorite pizza place). We got there a little before 11:30. I ran up ahead to get a table and the restaurant wasn’t even open up. They opened at 11:30 and there were already quite a few people waiting outside. Once they opened we were able to get seated right away. It was a successful lunch. Evan and Noah ate really well.

After lunch we came home and played in the backyard for a little while.

We put Noah down for a nap, but a few minutes later he came out of his room and announced he was done with his nap. I went back up there and lied down with him until he fell back asleep. Morry did some work and Evan watched TV.

Tonight Grandma and Papa had an event to go to. Morry and I called in an order to a sub shop and I went and picked up our dinner. Morry made mac and cheese for the boys while I was gone. Evan ate almost the whole box of mac and cheese by himself.

We just put Evan and Noah to bed. I know Noah is still awake. I heard him singing the ABCs through the monitor.

School for Evan, Park for Noah

This morning I started the stew in the crock pot.

I dropped Evan off at school and then Noah and I met Bradford and Clayton at the park. Clayton is a little over a year old. Noah and Clayton didn’t really play together, but they both enjoyed being at the park. The weather was nice.

Noah and I ate lunch at home and then picked Evan up at school. All the kids were on the playground at pickup. Evan and Noah wanted to stay out there and play more.

At home I put Noah down for a nap. Evan and I went in the backyard for a little bit to look at Evan’s peach tree. It has a lot of flowers on it. We are hoping to finally get peaches on it this year.

Evan did not take a nap, though he did play quietly in the game room so that I could rest some.

For dinner, we had stew and salad. Evan and Noah had macaroni and cheese.

We just put Evan and Noah to bed. Evan is downstairs now complaining about his thumb hurting. We think maybe he got a paper cut? Hopefully, he’ll go to sleep after this.
