Another Quick Post

I'm exhausted.  The week has been very busy and today was another busy day.

We met with Noah's therapist.

Then, I was doing a lot around the house.

Before dinner we all went to 2 of our banks, and the used video game store.

We ate at Cypress Grill and after that stopped at HEB to pick up Morry's medicine.

The boys cleaned up tonight.  They are ready for bed, but still awake.

Here are video and pictures from yesterday.

Quick...

This is just a quick post.  Morry is working on my computer.  I have been having some problems with it and it wouldn't even start today.  I'm using one of Morry's computers to write tonight's blog.

At Noah's sports class today, they had the end of year ceremony.  The kids showed the parents what they have been working on all year.  Noah got a trophy (a Little Gym ball).  I took video and pictures, but I can't upload it right now.  I'll try to get it up tomorrow.

After sports class Evan and Noah played on the playground in the shopping center for a while.  On the way home we got gas and the Sonic Slushes.

Evan's asleep, but Noah's still up.

Car Doctor and Animal Doctor

This morning we dropped my car off at an auto repair place.  We wanted to get it checked out before we left for our trip.  Everything looked good.

After lunch Jack came over to play.

I picked up Noah from school and the 3 boys played until about 3pm.

Then, we went to the vet for appointments for Mottel and Lizzy.  Mottel was getting his yearly exam.  We made an appointment for Lizzy because we felt some lumps on her.  They biopsied Lizzy's lumps.  3 were benign fatty tumors and 1 was a cyst.  None of them need to be taken care of unless they seem to bother her or change.  Mottel got vaccines and did well.  He will have to have 2 teeth extracted through.  We'll take care of that in July.

Morry got his new desk today so he has been spending a lot of the afternoon and evening putting it together in his office.  We moved the old desk up to Noah's room. He was very excited to get his own desk.

The boys are still awake playing Legos.  I need to go in there and tell them it's time to go to sleep.

Pool and Mall

This morning we went to the main neighborhood pool.  The new one near us is closed on Tuesdays.  Evan's friend, Ben met us there with his mom and sister.  The kids had a good time and were well behaved.

We ate lunch at home.

The Lego Store was having an event tonight with a free build-your-own lawnmower project.  Evan has been looking forward to that.  The event was at 5pm.

Morry met us at the mall a little before 5:00 and there was a huge line.  The estimated wait time was 2 hours.  They gave us tickets for Evan and Noah to redeem for the projects when we made it to the front of the line.  We saw Jodie (mom of Allen and Thomas) there.   They were further up in line and she offered to pick up the projects for Evan and Noah if we left our tickets with her.  We took her up on that since we weren't going to wait 2 hours for maybe a $5 toy.

We spent a little bit of time at Pottery Barn Kids and then left.  I took Evan to HEB and Morry took Noah home to get dinner ready.

We had flank steak and corn on the cob tonight.

The boys are ready for bed, but not asleep yet.

Noah's School and AAA

Evan was up early and Noah slept until about 9am.  Sue, our cleaning lady came here in the morning for a few hours.

Evan and I dropped Noah off at school and then came home for a little bit.  I got some stuff done around the house and Evan spent a lot of time coloring and drawing things on paper at his desk.

We ate lunch here and then went to AAA to pick up some books and maps.

We got Noah at school and then came home.

We spent the afternoon at home.

For dinner we had pasta.

I just gave the boys a bath and now Morry is reading to them.

Baby Shower and Clean Up

Today we went to Aaron and Mandy's baby shower downtown.  It was very nice and the boys seemed to have a good time.  During the shower there were a few games played.  One involved taking someone's clothes pin if they said the word "baby".  When everyone came in we were given a clothespin.  If you heard someone say the word "baby" you could take their pin.  The object of the game was to get as many as possible. Well, Evan was determined to win, and he did.  He was occupied with that the whole shower.  He won a pack of gum.  Noah also won a pack of gum during the bingo game.

We came home after the shower and then Grandma and Papa drove back to Dallas.

This afternoon I was doing stuff around the house and Morry had work to do.

For dinner we had burgers.

After dinner the boys had clean up night and I ran out to Target to get some things for our trip.

The boys were in Evan's room, ready for bed when I came home, but they are not asleep yet.

Noah the Reader, Part 2

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Evan and Noah were invited to a birthday party which started at 10am this morning.  I needed to do some work so I got up a bit early and Evan was already up.  Noah got up around nine.  We had to go to Target on the way to pick up a gift.

The party was at the house of the birthday girl.  However, they brought in a group called Mad Science.  They work with kids to do science experiments.  The woman put on about an hour program (maybe a bit longer) for basically 6-year-olds and younger.  They kids were mesmerized and loved the whole thing.  It was great.  We may sign Evan up for a week-long camp there.

When we got home, Rachel, Evan, Noah, Grandma and Papa went out for lunch.  They also had to stop by the optometrist because during a pillow fight, Evan hit Papa in the face so hard with a pillow that it bent the nose piece on Papa's glasses.

When they came home, the boys played with Legos for a while.  Then I took them out in the front yard to play some baseball.  Papa came out and relieved me after a bit.

For dinner we went to a place called the Austin Terrier.  We met Aunt Susan there.  The food was very good and the boys ate very well.  They had chicken nuggets and apple slices which is what Noah got.  There must have been 8 or 10 nuggets and Noah ate all of them.  Evan had cheese pizza and he ate almost the entire pizza.

After dinner, we came home and got the boys ready for bet.  Noah finished Green Eggs and Ham.  He really did well reading.  It's hard to believe he turned four less than 3 months ago.

Until next time...

Noah the Reader

This morning both boys slept late. Evan slept until about 9:30 and Noah slept until almost 10.  I let them both sleep because I knew they needed it.

Evan and I dropped Noah off at school and then came back home.  I got some stuff done around the house.  Evan played with his water gun in the backyard. Somehow he soaked himself (on purpose) and had to come in and change clothes.

After we got Noah from school we went to my eye doctor to order my glasses.  On the way home we picked up the pottery Morry and I decorated for our anniversary.

Blanca came over at 3:45 so I could go to my hair appointment.

Morry came home and then Grandma and Papa arrived.

Morry and the boys went to a swim party at Jack's house.

I got home around 6:30 and the Morry and the boys came back around 7:00.

We all went to dinner at Trudy's.

While getting ready for bed tonight, Noah wanted to read to us.  He read most of the book Green Eggs and Ham with just a little bit of help.  He was really sounding out words and remembering words he had read before.  He did a great job.  He read 34 pages and then decided to finish the rest of the book tomorrow.
