Hello everyone, this is Morry.
It was a low-key morning as we didn't have anything going on. I had a phone meeting at 10:30, but otherwise, we were home.
For lunch we went to Wholy Bagel. We missed last week since Rachel and I went out to a different lunch for her birthday.
We stayed home for most of the afternoon. In the late afternoon, Evan and I went to the Oak Hill baseball fields so he could try to hit more home runs. He hit three this time. Two were absolutely crushed. He had a good time, but it was hot.
We then went to Costco to get a few things. From there, we tried to find a place to eat dinner. The place we were trying to go, Uncle Maddio's, apparently went out of business. We didn't find out until we got there. We ended up eating at Chipotle.
Then we went to Academy so Rachel and Evan could get more shorts. We also got some socks and sliding shorts for the upcoming baseball season for Evan. Evan and Noah had some gift certificates for Academy that they hadn't used so they got some stuff.
We are home now and the boys are about to get ready for bed.
Until next time...

Family Day
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
We had a really loud and violent storm at around 4am. It scared Lizzy. Evan said he woke up to it. Amazingly, Noah slept through the entire thing.
This morning, though it was super nice. We decided to take a walk around the lake as a family since we didn't have baseball this weekend. We brought Lizzy. Lizzy was so happy to go on the walk. At one point we let her in the water. We had a hard time getting her out.
On the way home, the boys wanted bagels from Wholy Bagel so we stopped there and then went across the street to get smoothies at Smoothie King.
Later in the afternoon, Evan and I went to play basketball at the Circle C Park.
For dinner we went to Uncle Maddio's.
The boys will be getting ready for bed soon.
Until next time...

Clothes
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
Evan and I rode our bikes to school this morning. I think Evan was really happy to do that. It reminded him of when he was in Kindergarten and First Grade and just he and I would ride to school. On the way back from school, I rode with Jack's dad, John.
Noah got up a little after I got home. He was doing much better. Rachel called the doctor last night and had the doctor talk to Noah about the importance of following the rules that they gave including drinking and eating cold things. He's been drinking a lot more. He looks much better.
I went into Aaron's for a while today.
Rachel and Noah stayed home. After lunch we had cleaning people come to the house.
Rachel left to tutor after I came home with Evan.
Before Rachel got home from tutoring, I had the boys try on some of their nicer clothes for the Bat Mitzvah this weekend. I found that most of the clothes did not fit the boys. So we had to go shopping. Rachel came home and we went to the mall and got the boys some nice clothes.
Noah wanted to eat pizza from Uncle Maddio's, so we picked that up on the way home. Unfortunately, it was too hard on Noah's throat so he only had about 1.5 pieces.
The boys are ready for bed.
Until next time...

Holiday Celebrations
This morning I went for a long run.
Grandma and Papa picked Noah and me up at 11:45 and we went to the JCC for a Hanukkah party. It was huge. There were a ton of people there. We didn't realize everything was free. I guess that's why so many people came out. They had many food trucks and food stations, activities for the kids, and more.
We took it easy at home for a little bit.
Morry had picked up Evan from Josh's house, but soon after getting home Jack invited him over to play.
When Evan came home we lit the Hanukkah menorahs and the boys opened gifts.
Then, we went to an early dinner at Uncle Maddios and headed over to the Trail of Lights. I was offered a special preview from a group of local bloggers I belong to. We had a nice time and there. The boys got dessert under the big tree. Noah got a cookie and Evan got ice cream.
The boys are taking showers and then they will go to bed.
Here are some pictures from the Trail of Lights.

Friends
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
It was raining, again, when we woke up this morning. So it was yet another day of driving to school. Our lawn guy said that this week was the first time in 5 years that there has been two consecutive days where he could not mow during the growing months.
I went into Aaron's for the morning. Then I met Rachel at Wholy Bagel. Rachel stopped by HEB before meeting me.
We drove to get the boys though the rain had stopped. We didn't know if it would pick back up.
Noah invited his friend Owen over to play. When we got the boys, Evan saw Jack and he ended up coming home with us as well. It worked out well having the boys have friends over at the same time.
For dinner, we went to a new place called Uncle Maddio's. It's a place set up like Chipotle where you go down the line and tell them what you want but in this case you're building a pizza. They have super hot ovens that bake your pizza quickly. The boys enjoyed it.
They are playing now and will go to bed shortly.
