Hello everyone, this is Morry.
After walking the boys to school this morning, Rachel made a run to HEB. She needed to get stuff for the week.
Aaron and I worked together on a project later in the morning at his office.
Rachel tutored in the afternoon and couldn't get the boys. There was no Math Pentathalon this week so the boys and I came straight home from school.
Evan went out to play in the cul-de-sac and Noah joined him a bit later.
I made pasta for us and the three of us sat down and watched Die Hard. The boys enjoyed the movie. Rachel came home right at the end of the movie. After tutoring, she went to a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Resource Center.
The boys are asleep now.
Until next time...

Football and Baseball
Hello everyone, this is Morry.
The boys got up some time after 8am. Since yesterday was a long, exhausting day, I thought they may sleep in, but they didn't really.
Rachel had a luncheon to go to for the Breast Cancer Resource Center. She left around 11am for that. I made pancakes for the boys and me for our brunch.
After eating the pancakes, we all settled in to watch the Steelers game. Unfortunately, the game was really really bad - one of the worst I can remember in a long time. The boys didn't mind. They were having a good time. Evan had me throwing the football to him. I was leading him and he'd dive to get the football. (It was a stuffed football)
Rachel came home around 2pm and laid down.
At 2:30, Evan and I left for his first tee ball game of the season. It was really hot out, about 100 degrees. It felt gross. Evan was pretty tired initially but he got excited when the game started. He batted third and he played right-center, shortstop and pitcher. He loved playing pitcher. Last season, only the older boys who really knew how to field got to play pitcher. I think he took it as an honor that he got to play there. He did really well. He fielded every ball that game to him. He was running off the mound fast to get it. That's something new that he didn't do last season. He's really progressed well.
Rachel and Noah came towards the end of the game. I drove the boys home while Rachel went to tutor. We stopped and got Powerade on the way home.
At home, I led the boys in cleaning up. It did not go well.
For dinner, Rachel stopped and picked up Papa John's. They now charge to deliver. It's very expensive there.
We gave the boys baths and they are in their rooms now.

Running around (literally)
Today was a busy day. After dropping off the boys at school I went for a run around the neighborhood. I ran 3 miles and it was really hot out, even at 10am.
I did some stuff around the house and then went to HEB. HEB was packed and I waited in a line a while. I got to the boys school just in time. They both had a good day at school.
When we got home I put away groceries while the boys ate the Trix yogurt I just bought. Then, I made myself lunch. I tried putting Noah down for nap, but he didn't sleep.
I spent a lot of time doing my hair and makeup while the boys were supposed to be napping. I could have had it professionally done, but both the hair and make up places were across town.
I had a photo shoot scheduled for 6pm for the Breast Cancer Resource Center calendar. I didn't want to be driving through the city during rush hour, so I just got ready here at home.
Gabby came at 5pm and then I left to meet everyone on South Congress. The photos were taken in front of one of those food trailers. Here's one photo the photographer just sent. While we were taking pictures some cyclists came up and asked to take a pic with us. No, that's not Lance Armstrong, though it does kind of look like him.

Right near there is a Hey Cupcake trailer. We have heard good things about it, but every time we have tried to go it was closed or sold out. I was able to pick up 2 cupcakes tonight. We haven't tried them yet.
Both boys are asleep now. I'm exhausted.

Crying over Spinach
This morning the boys and I went to the gym.
After the gym we went over to the Breast Cancer Resource Center to pick up my art bra. There's a photo shoot tomorrow for a calendar and they want all the models from the fashion show in it.
We came home and had lunch. I tried to get Noah to nap, but he wouldn't.
I noticed a flyer on our door. Two girls on our street put out a babysitting flyer. They are pretty young, but I thought it might be good to use them as mother's helpers when I am home to start out. I talked to both girls and asked them to come over at 5pm to meet the boys.
Gabby came and I got some stuff done around the house. Then, the girls (Maddie and Landry) came over to "meet" the boys. They have met before, but I wanted to see if Evan and Noah like them and would want them to babysit. The girls were good with Evan and Noah. We all went in the backyard and Maddie was very impressed with Evan's batting.
For dinner Morry had steak and I had fish. Among other things I had put spinach on Evan's plate. All of the sudden Noah started crying. It took us a while to understand what he was saying. He was upset because he didn't have spinach too. We got him spinach and both boys ate all of their spinach. Have you ever heard of a kid crying because he did not get spinach?
After dinner we went to Petco to get some more food for Lizzy. Lizzy wanted to come with us, so we brought her along. She was very excited going into Petco.
We are now going to put the boys to bed. Let's hope for a good night.

Picture Day x 2
Today was picture day at school and for Evan's baseball team.
Noah was a little easier to deal with this morning, though he still gave me a little bit of a hard time. He didn't want to wear the button down shirt I put on him. Since it was picture I wanted the boys to look a little nicer. They both looked really cute this morning.
While the boys were at school I went to the Breast Cancer Resource Center. They are having a big fundraiser event called Graphic 5 and I volunteered to help. They needed models to wear Art Bras for the runway event and for the auction. The Art Bras are created by breast cancer survivor's friends and family members, local artists and celebrities like Willie Nelson, Mack Brown and the Beach Boys. So, I went there to try on different Art Bras so they could decide what I would be wearing for the event.
After that I went to the post office to send anther package to Stephen and the Marines.
I came home to eat lunch and then picked up the boys from school.
After school we went to Great Clips to get them haircuts.
Gabby came over at 4. I got Evan ready for his baseball game and pictures and Morry met us at the fields. From there I went to tutor.
Gabby and Noah stayed at home.
We got back home around 7pm and then made dinner.
The boys are in their rooms now, but not asleep.
