Expensive Day

This morning we had a lot of rain and thunder.  Lizzy was not happy.

I drove Evan to his 11am dentist appointment.  He needed to get a cavity filled.  Everything went well and we were done in about an hour.

On the way home we stopped at HEB.

Finally, our car was ready this afternoon.  So, we drove to the dealership to pick it up.

For dinner, we invited Grandma over.  We had hamburgers, corn on the cob, and asparagus.

We walked Grandma home.

The boys are playing video games, but will get ready for bed soon.

Dentist

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

I took my car in to be washed this morning.  Rachel left with the boys shortly after I got home to take them to the dentist.  Noah's teeth were good.  But they gave us a recommendation on an orthodontist who we will see later in the summer.  Evan had another cavity, yet again.  Before they left for the dentist I told Noah that if they recommended that he see another doctor (the last two times they wanted him to see an ENT which led to his surgery) and if Evan had another cavity, I was cutting them from the team. They would no longer be with the family.  Somehow both things still happened.

After they went to the dentist, they got their hair cut.  Evan just wanted a tiny trim and to thin out the "poofiness" but they cut off his hair.  I think he was a bit disappointed.  Noah looks really good.

I worked from home all day.

We had corned beef for dinner.

The boys are in bed now.

Noah's Cavity

This morning I took Noah to the dentist to get his cavity fixed.  He was very good there and all went well.  He never once complained. They had a choice of movies for him to watch and he chose Monsters Inc. He was so involved watching the movie, he didn't seem to notice what they were doing.

We came home and a little while later we had handymen come by.  They fixed a few things around the house and outside for us.

Morry came home to work from home.

I picked up Evan from school.  Blanca came over and then I left to tutor.

When I got home we made pasta for dinner.

After dinner I did some reading and writing with Noah and then both boys wrote in their journals.  I got journals for the boys hoping to have them write in them each night during the summer.  They wanted to start today.  Below are pictures from their journals.  The boys are in bed now.

Noah's and My Turn at the Dentist

Noah and I had dentists appointments today.  Everything looked good on both of us, except they do want to go ahead and fix Noah's cavity.  They found it the last time we were in there and thought we should go ahead and take care of it.  We'll go back on June 3rd to get that taken care of.

After the dentist we stopped at Target on the way home.

We ate lunch and then got Evan from school.

When Morry got home we gave Evan dinner and then they left to go to Evan's practice.  Noah stayed home with me and I gave him his dinner a little later. 

Morry and Evan got home around 8pm.  The boys insisted on taking a bath tonight rather than a shower.  So, I gave the boys baths while Morry got our dinner ready.  The boys are getting out of the bath now with Morry's help.  We'll put them to bed and then have our dinner.
