Up North

I spend a lot of time in north Austin today.

I met Melissa for yogurt around noon and then around 1 I went to a baby shower for Lisa. Barry and Lisa have a new baby, Justine. They had a shower there today.

While I was gone Morry took the boys to the park and then to HEB for Icees.

I got home in the middle of the afternoon. The boys were playing outside.

For dinner we went up north to Manny's Uptown Kitchen for some deli food. Evan ate really well. He finished all of this pancakes and had some pickles. Noah ate some of his hotdog.

When we got home Noah was being very bad. He wouldn't get his shoes and socks out of the car and then threw a fit when we made him go right to bed. He's still having a tantrum now.

Shopping without the boys

I didn't sleep well last night. This morning the boys were both cranky and fighting a lot. Noah was being bad. I had to put him in his room and he made a big mess in there because he was mad. I needed to do some shopping today, but I was afraid to take the boys with me. I just wasn't in the mood to have to deal with that while we were out in public.

Evan has been asking me for awhile to go back to Clubhouse for Kids. I decided I would drop them off there so I could get some shopping done. I quickly made a sack lunch for the boys and dropped them off at Clubhouse for Kids.

I was able to get my shopping done and the boys had a good time. It was good for everyone.

Noah actually took a nap today.

For dinner Morry picked up Blue Bamboo for us. While he was gone I made dinner for the boys and juice for everyone.

We just got the kids ready for bed. Morry is reading to them now.

Various Things

I got lots of little things done today.

Drop off at school went well. I went for a 3 mile run when I got home and made a trip to Sams Club.

I picked up the boys right after Sams Club and when we got home I needed to put everything away. I'm not sure the reason, but Noah was having a major meltdown. I really don't know why. He wouldn't tell me. It was so annoying I couldn't even think to put the groceries away. I finally had to just put him in his room. He was so mad somehow he ended up breaking the plastic trash can in his room. He was throwing it against the gate or wall or something. Now there are pieces of green plastic everywhere. The tantrum went on for about an hour.

Gabby came at 4pm and I had a haircut appointment at 4:30. I got highlights and then was home for dinner.

We just had pasta tonight since I didn't get home until around 7pm.

Now, we are going to put the kids to bed.

Tomatoes

During the day we stayed at home. I got stuff done around the house and the boys played outside.

For lunch, Evan and Noah wanted to eat outside. There were a couple of ripe tomatoes on the vine so I let the boys pick them. There's a video below.

One of my students canceled today because of TAKS testing this week. When Morry got home we went to Evan's baseball game. I left a little early to go tutor.

Morry and the boys went to Chick Fil A for dinner.

When I got home I the boys were ready for bed.

I just ate my dinner and Evan is still awake and running around.

Tuesday with Morry

I dropped off the boys at school and had a little bit of time at home before I needed to meet Morry at the bank. We went to the bank to set up a business account for Morry since he's been doing more web site work for people.

After the bank we ate lunch at Mandola's.

I picked up the boys from school and when we came home we did a major clean up. Their rooms were really messy. I also had them straighten up the game room. I told them they could have jelly beans if they did a good job. They seemed motivated by that. Evan and Noah both helped and we got all 3 rooms looking decent.

Blanca came at 3:45 and I tutored. Morry took Evan to baseball practice while Noah stayed with Blanca.

Morry said Evan did a great job at practice today. He was running hard and paying attention.

For dinner we ate leftover barbecue from Coopers. I also made a carrot (and some other fruit) juice in the juicer. Even Morry drank it! It was good.

We are about to put the boys to bed.

Hot Yoga

For lunch the boys, Grandmom, and I met Morry at Doc's Backyard. We were hoping the boys could play outside on the playground while we ate lunch, but it was drizzling so we had to eat inside. Evan and Noah shared a cheeseburger with an extra bun. Evan made a sandwich with pickles and Noah ate some of the cheeseburger.

We dropped Grandmom off at the airport and then came back home.

Gabby came at 3:45 and I tutored.

After tutoring I came home for just a few minutes and then we all went to the gym. There's a hot yoga class at 6:20 on Mondays that we have wanted to try out for a while. It seems like something always comes up and we can't go. Anyway, we were finally able to do it tonight. It was good, and hot!

When we got home we had dinner. We all had different things and just threw some stuff together.

It's now 9:00 and we just put the boys to bed. Let's hope they fall asleep soon.

Barbecue and Strawberries

This morning we took a little day road trip. Our first stop was Coopers Barbecue in Llano. We met Matt's family there. Everyone enjoyed the food. That's Morry's happy place. He said it's the best barbecue he has ever had. He looks forward to it every time.

After Coopers we went to Marble Falls to Sweet Berry Farms. Right now they have strawberry picking. The kids had fun picking (and eating) strawberries. We sat down in the shade and had strawberry ice cream and strawberry popsicles.

Most of the restaurants near us are closed today so we just made pasta for dinner.

We just got the boys ready for bed. Noah is not being good right now. He wouldn't help clean up and now he's throwing a fit in his room.

Runway Model

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Rachel and I both slept in this morning. I finally got up around 10am and went into the game room to find Evan, Noah and Grandmom all playing with iPhones and iPads. Actually, the boys were using them and Grandmom was just watching.

We played in the game room for a bit and then boys got their clothes and I helped them get dressed.

For lunch, we went to Wholy Bagel. The boys ate well there. I got a salt bagel for myself either to take home or eat as a side. It tastes like a soft pretzel to me which is why I like it. Well Evan wanted a bite of it and really liked it and ended up eating most of it. Noah ate a bunch of his jelly bagel and a bunch of turkey off of Rachel's bagel.

Then we went to a kid's clothing and shoe store where we got sandals for Evan and Noah.

When we got home, Rachel took a quick nap before I took her to the Bob Bullock History Museum for the Graphic 5 Art Bra Fashion Show and Auction. Rachel volunteered to be a runway model for this event which benefited the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Central Texas.

I came home and spent time with the boys and Grandmom and then got ready to go to the event. First I had to go pick up Wendy's for everyone and brought that home.

Then I drove to the event. The auction was kind of nuts. There were some people with money there. I had never seen a live auction before. It was kind of neat. After the auction is when the fashion show began. Rachel walked the runway as if she knew what she was doing. It was impressive. She seemed to have fun.

On the way home since neither of us had eaten much, we stopped at Magnolia Cafe for some food.

The boys are asleep as is Grandmom. Until next time...

Shoe Shopping

This morning we had a handyman come over around 8am. He didn't actually do any work today. I just showed him around and he'll send us an estimate.

We stopped at Target so Grandmom could buy Geo Trax for Evan and Noah and then we met Morry for lunch. We ate at Applebees.

After lunch we came home and I tutored one student here at 2pm.

For dinner we ate at the mall at California Pizza Kitchen. After dinner Grandmom bought some shoes for the boys. We went to a a few different stores.

We gave the boys very quick baths tonight and just put them to bed.

Evan's School Party

This morning I dropped the boys off without any problems.

I went out to Cedar Park (the other side of Austin) to get a spray tan. A woman was offering her services for all of the women in the Art Bra show on Saturday. That was my first time getting spray tan. I look like I just came back from a beach vacation.

After that, I went to the airport to pick up Grandmom/Marilyn. We went straight to school since Evan was having a party at school. At the end the kids did an egg hunt.

After school we went to lunch at Panera since Marilyn/Grandmom and I had not yet eaten. The boys shared a muffin there.

Evan had another game tonight. He was really tired and cranky when we got there, but once we gave him a popsicle and Poweraid he did a lot better and got an energy burst.

For dinner we ate a Kerbey Lane.

We just got the boys ready for bed. Morry is reading to Evan now.

Music on the Bridge

This morning it took a while to leave the house. The boys were both cranky this morning and fighting a lot.

We took Lizzy and walked around the lake. At various spots downtown there are pianos outside. It's part of this Street Pianos movement. We stopped at the piano on the bridge and the boys played it for a little bit. Below is the video. Oh, and as we were walking a naked guy on a bike rode by. I didn't look that closely, but I was pretty sure he was naked. I told Morry and he said there's a guy that rides around downtown in just a nude colored g-string. I guess that's what I saw.

After walking around the lake we stopped at Walmart on the way home to pick up a few things.

When we got home I put Noah down for a nap, though he didn't sleep. Evan and I gave Lizzy a bath.

Gabby game at 4pm and I tutored.

Morry took the boys to Evan's baseball practice.

We all got home around 7pm and had different things for dinner. I had leftovers. Morry made fried matzoh and the boys had jelly sandwiches.

We just put the boys to bed, but of course, they are still playing around upstairs.

Doctors Appointment Check Up

This morning while Morry was downstairs getting ready to leave for work Noah woke up and got in bed with me. He fell back asleep for a little bit.

Evan and Noah were good this morning. Noah insisted I make them a smoothie this morning.

I had a check up at Texas Oncology today. They said everything looked good from my ultrasound a week and a half ago. I wish they could have called me or something when they go the results. I would have like to have known sooner that everything was ok.

After Texas Oncology I came back home for a little bit and cleaned and then ate lunch.

Noah's class had an egg hunt at school today and had Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Noah was in a good mood and very proud of the eggs he found.

Evan had a good day too.

At naptime Noah was bad and throwing a fit so I took toys out of his room.

Blanca came at 3:45 and I tutored just one student today. The other canceled.

We had leftovers for dinner.

In a few minutes we'll give the boys baths and put them to bed.

Passover

I spent a lot of the day getting ready for Passover.

Gabby came at 3:45. I tutored one student and then came back home.

We had seder here with Matt, Rachael, Tristan, Maddee, Aunt Susan, Aaron, and Mandy. We did a very short seder using pieces from the Maxwell House haggadah. It was nice and I feel like everyone had a good time. We had a good variety of food. Everyone brought something. Aunt Susan's charoset was really good. For the afikomen we put teams of Evan and Maddee together and Tristan and Noah. Tristan ended up finding the afikomen that Morry hid under an end table. We gave all the kids money as a prize. During the seder Evan ate a lot of parsley with salt water. Noah liked his matzoh ball. Of course the kids liked the fruit and meringue cookies for dessert. We also had a chocolate seder plate and chocolate matzoh that Rachael and Matt brought.

We are wiped out now. The boys are still awake in their rooms.

Here are some pictures from tonight.

Happy Passover!

Jim's for Breakfast

With all the wildfires in West Texas they are advising people to stay indoors if possible here. Normally on a nice day like this we would do something outside, but we tried to find something indoors to do.

We decided to take the boys out to breakfast. We ended up at Jim's. We wanted to go somewhere where the boys could get pancakes or waffles. It worked out well. The boys were good and ate their strawberry pancake.

After eating we went across the parking lot to Goodwill. I needed to find some clothes and accessories to go with the art bra I'll be wearing in the fashion show. I bought a few things.

We dropped of Morry and Evan at home and Noah and I went to HEB.

When we got home Noah took a nap at his gate after throwing a fit there.

For dinner Morry had steak and the boys and I had crab.

While I was getting stuff ready for Passover Morry and the boys went upstairs to clean up. Both of their rooms and the game room were a disaster.

The boys are having dessert now (push up popsicles) and then we'll put them to bed.

Not A Whole Lot

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning, the boys got up a bit before 8am. They decided it was a good idea to play right outside of our room and be really loud. We ended up telling them to go in the game room and closed our door and slept a bit more. I got up when they were arguing and fighting because Noah wanted to lay on the couch with Evan.

We came downstairs and Evan and Noah played outside while Rachel got brunch ready for us and I folded clothes. Rachel used the juicer to make fresh squeezed orange juice and we had cinnamon rolls and fruit.

After lunch, I went upstairs to continue cleaning the office. Evan came upstairs with me and watched as I shredded old documents. Noah stayed downstairs with Rachel.

Eventually, Rachel put Noah in his room for a nap. Noah fought it at first and then fell asleep at the gate. After about 30 minutes to an hour Noah work up and cried to come out for another 45 minutes. Evan and I were playing with the Wii at that time and eventually, I went and let him out of his room.

For dinner, we went to Verde's Mexican Parilla. We had been there once before. They have outdoor seating. Just past the outdoor seating is a huge open, fenced-in field. They have all kinds of balls just laying out - soccer balls, footballs, volleyballs, frisbees. The boys had a blast. While we were waiting for a table, Evan and I had a catch with the football. He can really catch the ball. We were having the catch about 15 feet from each other and it was a nearly full-size ball. I was impressed.

We got seated but were still sitting on the patio. The boys played with some other boys until the food arrived. They came back and ate and then went back out and played some more until we paid and were ready to leave. Our food was really good. I had a honey chipotle glazed pork chop. I was really impressed.

We came home and gave the boys baths. Evan is throwing a fit because Noah has a Lego door that Evan wants.

Until next time...

Central Market and Baseball

This morning we went to Central Market. We are going to have a seder here and needed Passover stuff. The HEB near us has a very small Jewish/Kosher section. Evan and Noah enjoyed Central Market. There were samples at every corner. They even have a kids table where kids can put in a quarter in the piggy bank and pick out a small piece of fruit. Evan and Noah both chose apples.

After Central Market we went to the park so I could help Evan with baseball. Noah was a pain, whining a lot, but Evan did well. We worked on catching, throwing, and base running.

At home the boys had a small lunch since they had eaten so much at Central Market. I made a carrot, apple, and lemon juice in our juicer and the boys both gulped it down pretty quickly.

At 3:30 we went to Gymboree for Hazel's (a girl in Noah's class) birthday party. We had to leave the party a little early to get to Evan's baseball game.

Evan did well at baseball today. Morry thought he was throwing really well today.

After the game we ate dinner at Suzy's. We just got home and now we'll put the boys to bed.

Downtown stuff

The boys were good this morning and drop off at school went well.

I got things done around the house and ran some errands.

The boys were happy at pick up too.

Noah didn't nap, but stayed in his room for a little bit.

Gabby came to babysit. A market research company contacted me to see if I would participate in a focus group this afternoon. I was scheduled for 4:45-6:45 and then I had a fashion show (Art Bra Show) meeting right after that. When I arrived for the focus group they told me they had overbooked and I could go home (with pay). That was nice, but I had 1 1/2 to kill until the next meeting. It wasn't really enough time to go home. I was downtown and getting home would take at least 30 min. in traffic. It didn't make sense for me to go home and then turn around and come back downtown a little bit later.

I just hung out at Book People, read some books, and got a smoothie.

At the meeting they showed us which bras we would be wearing and we talked to stylist about what to wear with them (shoes, pants/skirt, jewelry, etc). They had two big shot stylist there. One guy works with famous people here in Austin and the other guy just finished working on a movie set.

I got home around 8pm. We just got Evan and Noah ready for bed and Morry is reading to them now.

Check Ups

Evan and Noah had their well check-ups today. Noah is 34.5 lbs (75%) and 37 1/4 inches (50%). Evan is 46lbs (75%) and 44 inches (75%). Both boys are healthy. Everything looked good. Evan even had the required hearing and vision test and that was good too. The doctor wasn't concerned my Noah's behavior. He said it sounded like typical 3 year-old behavior. He does not believe there is any medical condition causing his tantrums. He offered a few resources for us to check out. Noah had to get one shot and it made him a little cranky today.

The rest of the day we stayed at home. The boys didn't eat much for lunch for some reason.

Gabby came at 4pm and I tutored late today.

Morry and the boys had dinner at home.

I came home a little after 8pm. Morry is reading to the boys now.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Sprouts at Sprouts

It was another busy day today.

Noah was very good getting ready for school this morning and there were no issues at drop off.

After dropping the kids off at school I had a dermatologist appointment.

After the appointment I picked up some groceries at Sprouts (including sprouts), but didn't get ground beef. We needed ground beef for dinner, but I was going out to lunch and didn't want it sitting in the car that long.

I met the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls for lunch at Mandola's. Then, I picked up Evan and Noah at school.

Before coming home we stopped at HEB to get the ground beef and a few other things. It's hard to just go in the store for one thing when you have the boys.

Blanca came at 3:45. I tutored and got home around 5:45.

Morry took Evan and Noah to Evan's baseball practice. I got dinner ready while the were there and then they came home around 7:30.

We had tacos for dinner and then put the boys to bed.

Another Good Noah Day

I was expecting the worse. Noah's behavior is usually pretty bad on Monday after getting more than the usual attention over the weekend. Today I was surprised. Noah got up twice in the middle of the night, but didn't really cry. He started to and we just told him to come in our room. Once I help him and other time Morry helped him to go potty.

Getting Noah dressed this morning was easy.

We got to the gym without any fights.

Since the boys were good we swam at the gym after I worked out.

We ate lunch at home and Noah started to get just a little cranky. After lunch he went to his room for naptime without any arguing. He didn't nap, but at least he stayed in his room for a little bit.

Gabby came at 3:45.

I tutored and then met Morry and the boys at Evan's baseball game. Noah and I stayed for about half of the game and then I brought him home with me so I could get dinner started.

For dinner we had one of those PF Changs frozen meals.

Evan and Noah have been put to bed, but they are both still awake.

Sunday, April 10, 2011

Shopping on Sunday

This morning we made a trip to Sam's Club. The boys were good and got a lot of samples. At the end we got them an Icee and pretzels to share.

We ate lunch at home and then Morry and the boys went to Dicks Sporting Goods and to refill the propane tank.

I tutored a student here at the house.

Noah was pretty good today. I think he does better on days when Morry is home because he gets more attention.

Evan and Noah played outside while we got dinner ready. Morry had a steak and I had fish.

After dinner I wrote all the thank you notes and had Evan and Noah sign them.

We just put the boys to bed. Let's hope for a good day tomorrow.

Good Noah

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

The boys got up after 8am this morning. They were pretty loud while they were playing. At one point I heard them say that "Mommy and Daddy aren't the boss". And then they declared that they were the boss. I'm not sure how that came about.

The boys have been begging to go see the move "Hop" for weeks. We promised them we'd go today. We decided to take them to the Alamo Drafthouse to see the movie. We thought they'd like eating at the movie theater. They ended up not eating anything but popcorn there. I guess we could have just gone to the AMC. The movie was ok. Evan said he liked it. Noah said he didn't. I'm wondering if there was a scene that scared him.

On the way home, we stopped and got smoothies. They have milkshakes at the movies and we asked if they wanted one and Evan said no. When we got in the car Evan asked why we didn't get a milkshake. So to make it up, we got smoothies which we'd rather him have anyway.

When we got home, we put Noah down for a nap. He had been good all morning. He played in his room and never got upset. Eventually he fell asleep on the floor at his gate.

For dinner, we thought we had a Living Social coupon for the Mongolian Barbeque. We drove downtown and parked. The boys ate well and Noah was very well behaved. Unfortunately, when we paid, they said we had used it. Neither Rachel nor I remember using it.

We came home and put the boys in bed. They are still awake.

Until next time...

Anyone want a Noah?

This morning it took a while to get out of the house. It was a little bit hectic but I finally got the boys and Lizzy in the van and we went to the lake. When I went to get Lizzy out of the car, I realized I forgot her leash at home. We couldn't walk around the lake, so I decided to go to the nearby dog park. Lizzy and Evan had a great time. Noah whined a lot. Lizzy kept barking at Evan to throw the ball to her in the water.

On the way home we stopped at the library and then HEB to pick up medicine.

Noah threw a fit a lunch. He has to complain about whatever you give him even though I gave him stuff he normally likes. He just finds something to argue about.

Evan had a 5:45 game so Morry came home a little early and we all went to Evan's game. Since Morry helps out during the game I had to watch Noah. I was pretty tired by the end of the game.

When we tried to leave the baseball fields someone had parked right behind us and blocked us in. Morry probably could have maneuvered his way around, but it would have been tough. He started to try but Noah was screaming so loudly he couldn't even concentrate. I had to get out and walk around the fields and try to figure out whose car was behind ours. It didn't take too long for me to find the guy. We can't figure out why he would have parked behind someone he didn't know. They were at a different game than us and their game was still going on.

Our plan was to go out to eat after the game, but Evan was tired and Noah was cranky. We picked up Mc Donalds for the boys and P. Terry's for us.

Bath time was not pleasant either. Noah screamed and we had to do a quick wash before he could climb out of the bathtub. Evan was good and wanted to stay in there a long time.

The boys are in bed now.

I'm starting to get concerned about Noah. I'm not sure if this is just a behavior thing or something more serious like a medical problem. At least we are going for a check up next week.

When can I go to bed?

This was another long day.

Of course Noah put up a fight this morning. It's almost guaranteed that he'll fight me about something before the start of school. He didn't want to get dressed so I was just going to take him to school in his pullup. Right before we left he decided he would get dressed. Things were going well until we were walking in the school door. He started throwing a fit because he wanted to go to Evan's room first. Noah's teacher had to come out in the hallway to get him. He wouldn't come in the classroom.

After dropping the boys off I went to have a repeat ultrasound. My ultrasound last time I was in Dallas showed some cysts on my ovaries and they wanted me to get it checked out in 6 weeks. For some reason, this place had me drink 32 oz of water one hour before without restroom use. Of course they were running late with the appointments. They called me after about 30 minutes. I was not very comfortable. I don't know the results of the test. The doctor is supposed to contact me and let me know.

When I picked the boys up from school they were both in good moods. I tried putting Noah down for a nap as soon as we got home but he didn't sleep.

Gabby came at 4:00 and I tutored.

I got home at 6:30 and shortly after Morry left for a guys night out. Some friends of his were meeting at the Alamo Draft house to see Paul.

Noah was a pain during dinner. He was throwing a fit because I wouldn't carry him to his seat. I told him that we would love for him to eat with us, but he was not allowed to cry/whine while we were eating dinner. If he was going to cry he had to go to his room. He was crying so much I couldn't deal with it. I kept bringing him up to his room, maybe 5 different times. It got really old. Finally he calmed down.

Everyday he does things like this. Next week when we go for check-ups we are going to ask the doctor about him.

I put the boys to bed a while ago, but they are both still awake.

Chuck E. Cheese's

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

We started a tradition when Evan turned 3 that we took him to Chuck E. Cheese's for his birthday. We have not gone any other day during the year. Just on his birthday. Since he was in school yesterday, we decided to push it back one day and celebrate Evan and Noah's birthday one last time. It's much nicer to go during the week for lunch because no one is there.

Before we went to Chuck E. Cheese's, Rachel took the boys down to the lake to go for a run. She was able to run some but the boys are getting heavy in the stroller and it was very very windy today. I think she was running into the wind.

Rachel and the boys picked me up from work and we drove to Chuck E. Cheese's. Noah complained on the way that he needed to go the bathroom. As soon as we got there, I took him to go. We got some tokens and played a bit. Then we ordered our pizza. Noah said he wanted pepperoni, but we didn't get any. He only eats one or two pieces and he's the only one who would eat pepperoni. Also, he always eats cheese pizza. When the pizza came, he threw a fit that he wanted pepperoni. He got himself worked up and was very annoying. He ended up not eating lunch.

We played for a bit longer and then left since Noah was not behaving that well. Rachel and the boys dropped me back off at work.

When Rachel got home, she put Noah in his room. He was angry and threw stuff. Then he needed to go to the bathroom. Rachel put him back into his room where he eventually fell asleep.

I got home and the boys and I watched Space Jam on TV while I made dinner.

After dinner, Evan talked to Quin a bit on the phone and then to Bubbe as they wanted to wish him a happy birthday.

They are now in their rooms.

Until next time...

Happy Birthday Dear Evan

Today was Evan's birthday. Both boys slept until about 8:30am, which is late for them.

I dropped the kids off at school and went to Walmart to get a few things including cupcakes for Evan's class.

Morry met me at school at 1pm and we had a little cupcake party for Evan and his school friends.

After school we stopped at the bank and then came home.

I made popcorn and the boys watched tv.

Blanca came at 3:45 and I left to tutor.

When Morry came home he took Evan and Noah to Evan's baseball practice. I met them there after tutoring.

For dinner we went to Red Lobster (Evan's choice). Evan ate a ton of crab and then got a sundae for dessert. He was very happy.

Earlier in the day I made Jello because I know how much Evan likes it. When we got home the boys had Jello and then we put them to bed.

Evan seemed very happy today. I'm glad he enjoyed his birthday. Since he had school today, tomorrow we are going to take the boys to Chuck E Cheese for lunch to celebrate both of their birthdays.

Monday

This morning we actually got some rain. I'm glad it waited until today and not during the party yesterday.

Evan, Noah, and I went to the gym. Then, we went to Party City to return some things we didn't use for the party. Party City is near the bookstore so we went into Barnes and Noble for a little bit. The boys love playing with the trains there.

At home, the boys ate lunch outside. Noah started getting cranky around that time.

I tried putting him down for a nap but he didn't sleep and kept needing to go potty.

Gabby came at 3:45 and I went to tutor.

On the way home from tutoring I stopped at the bank. I needed to open a SEP retirement account for tax purposes. It took a long time for some reason and I didn't get home until 6:30.

For dinner we had leftovers.

We are all pretty tired right now.

Tomorrow is another big day. It's Evan's birthday. We'll bring cupcakes to school. For dinner Evan said he wanted crab. We gave him a choice between Joe's Crab Shack and Red Lobster. He said he wants Red Lobster.

Soon, we'll put Evan and Noah to bed. Let's hope they are not up too late.

Birthday Party

What a great, but exhausting day!

The birthday party was a success. We had about 60 people here to help us celebrate the boys' birthdays.

We had pizza from Home Slice and Little Caesars along with popcorn, cake, and fruit. And to finish it all off we had a pinata as well. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

After the party we had a lot of leftover pizza so Noah, Evan, and I went downtown to the Salvation Army to give them 2 full pizzas.

We just got back.

We are going to eat some leftovers for dinner and then get the boys ready for bed.

Susie's Baby Shower

This morning Mom/Grandma, Aunt Susan, Bubbe, Mandy and I drove to San Antonio for Susie's baby shower. It was at a nice restaurant in a wooded area. We had fun.

While we were there Morry, Evan, Noah, and Papa went to Evan's baseball game and then to Which Wich for lunch. They had a busy day too.

We got home around 4pm and hung out for a little bit.

For dinner we went to Texas Land and Cattle to celebrate Bubbe's birthday (actual birthday tomorrow). The boys both ate very well. I ordered talapia for myself and they both ate a lot of it. Evan also had shrimp and Noah had a lot of Grandma's steak. They gave Bubbe a dessert for her birthday. She chose a chocolate brownie a la mode.

The boys are ready for bed and in their rooms, but not asleep yet.

Getting Ready

I spent most of today getting ready for the weekend. I cleaned the house and took care of some things for the party.

Evan, Noah, and I went to Academy to pick up extra pucks and paddles for the air hockey table.

We ate lunch outside at home.

At nap time Noah threw a fit about something small and wore himself out. He fell asleep at the gate in his room.

Grandma, Papa, and Bubbe got here around 3:30 and Noah continued to sleep through everything. The weather was great and we spent a lot of time outside in the backyard.

For dinner we went to Carinos.

We just got home and now it's time to get Evan and Noah ready for bed.
