Workout and Bagels

This morning Ron left around 8:30.

Later in the morning we went to the gym. We had planned on taking the boys swimming after our workout, but it was too cold outside. They opened the outdoor pool this weekend and when the outdoor pool is open, the indoor one is closed to kids. It was a little chilly and windy and we thought the boys would be too cold.

We went to a new bagel shop for lunch. We got our food to go since there wasn’t very much room to sit inside the store. They had bar stools, but we worried about Noah on a bar stool.

The bagels were good and we enjoyed our lunch at home.

Noah was super cranky and we put him down for an early nap. He slept well.

I switched the closets in Evan’s room and the guest room. I moved everything from Evan’s old room into his new one and vice versa. It didn’t take too long and I was glad to get that done.

For dinner we picked up Blue Bamboo and ate at home.

After dinner I made chocolate chip cookies (from refrigerated dough).

We put the boys to bed and it seems to be quiet.

Here are some pictures from Evan's school on Thursday when he gave me a makeover.

Help from Alissa

This morning Morry got Evan his breakfast and movie before he left for work. Around 8am our neighbors dog woke up Noah and me.

I got the boys dressed and fed and we hung out at home this morning. I gave Evan and Noah a haircut on our upstairs balcony.

Alissa came around lunch time and brought McDonalds for all of us. She stayed and helped out until naps. She was a big help and folded laundry.

Evan and Noah took good naps. I woke Evan up a little before 5pm. I didn’t want him to sleep too long.

I brought the boys in the game room so that I could try and do one of those 10 minute workout dvds. I did it, but there were a lot of distractions.

For dinner we had tacos. Morry had beef tacos and I had veggie tacos. It worked out well.

After dinner we took a walk and now the boys are in bed. Well, Noah is in bed, but I think Evan is in the hallway.

Latin dance workout class

This morning I dropped Evan off at school. On the door to the classroom there are individual pictures of all the kids in the class. Every time we get to school Evan wants to find and show me his picture on the door.

Noah and I hung out at home for a little bit and then we went to the gym to meet Yenis. She’s a member of 24 Hour Fitness and invited me to come with her to the Latin dance workout class. They have childcare inside the gym. I filled out that paperwork for Noah and went to the class. Noah seemed fine when I dropped him off. The class was fun. It was a good workout, but not overly hard like some classes can be. It is an hour class, but after about 50min someone from the childcare came in looking for me. They said Noah had been crying for 5 minutes and they couldn’t get him to stop. So, I had to leave the class 10 min early. As soon as I held Noah he was ok. I left his pacifier and blanket with them, but they hadn’t tried giving those to him. I guess it will just take some time for him to get used to it. Maybe next time I will bring both Evan and Noah. With Evan being there Noah might feel better.

After the gym we went to Yenis’s house for a little bit. We ate some leftover soup from last night. It was very good. Then, we went to pick up the boys.

Evan was busy playing in the kitchen when I got there. He was having a good time.

We came home and I put both boys down for a nap. Blanca came at 2:30 and I went to a focus group at 3. I got a call to be part of a focus group. They pay $100 for 1.5 hours. The focus group ended up being for Southwest Airlines.

Morry and I tried out some new recipes for dinner. We made marmalade chicken and corn chowder. The marmalade chicken was really good. The chowder was ok. Here’s the recipe for the chicken if you are interested http://www.recipesia.com/recipe/show/18322-marmalade-chicken
