The Zoo

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Evan woke me up this morning around 8:30. I'm glad he slept that late because he needed the sleep. He got his own breakfast but then I put on a movie for him. A little while later Uncle Mike and Aunt Jen brought he and Noah downstairs.

Rachel was feeling very nauseous this morning and somewhat achy. She stayed in bed throughout the morning.

Evan said he wanted to go to the zoo today. So Uncle Mike and Aunt Jen took the boys. They packed a lunch and had a picnic at the zoo. Evan said he saw Bevo there. Bevo is the name of the longhorn that is the mascot for UT. I guess they saw a longhorn cow. Apparently they all had a very good time.

While they were at the zoo, I made myself lunch and then I picked up a battery for our alarm system. The backup battery had gone out and needed to be replaced. I also got a decongestant from CVS.

When I got home, Rachel asked me to start boiling two eggs for her. She came downstairs about the same time that everyone got back from the zoo. The boys were so well behaved that they got Frosties from Wendy's as a treat.

After they ate their treats they went down for naps.

Our phone line has been acting weird. The phone rings only a quarter ring and then stops for each ring. Additionally, it seems like there is an echo - like you can hear yourself. I put in a repair ticket with AT&T yesterday. The guy came out during naps. It turns out it was a wireless phone jack that I was using for the satellite system that had gone bad.

The repair guy being here ended up waking the boys up early. They came down and we played downstairs for a while.

For dinner, I picked up Luby's for Rachel and me. It seemed the most appealing to her. She ate some of it. Uncle Mike and Aunt Jen made dinner for the boys while I was picking up the food. They are now out having dinner with friends. They have been a great help.

Right now the boys are watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I'll put them to bed soon.
