Noah

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Evan was pretty good last night. He stayed in his room for the most part last night. He didn't go to sleep but he entertained himself.

He got up this morning around 7:45. At that point Grandma and Papa took care of him. At some point I heard the boys screaming and playing and running around. So they must have had a good time.

When I got up, we played some. Then we went to Home Slice for lunch.

When we got to Home Slice it was very crowded. It was a 45 minute wait. We were in the restaurant and we were debating whether to stay. There was a tall table with bar stool-type chairs except they had a back on them. Papa was holding Noah. Noah said "chair" and wanted to sit on it so Papa put him on it. Papa turned around to tell us where he was and Noah fell through the back of the chair and landed on his back and hit his head. Apparently someone had removed the slats from the back of the chair so the back of the chair was just a frame. Noah must have leaned back. He was really crying and we were very worried about him. Rachel called the doctor and they gave us instructions on how to deal with him and what to look for. Thankfully, after about 10 minutes, Noah calmed down and began playing with Evan and the rocks outside on the patio. They also had a ping pong table that Evan and Noah were playing with. Noah didn't show any of the signs that we were told to look for. That being said, we're still watching him. We were told to wake Noah up every 4 hours at night so we'll be doing that tonight.

We ended up eating lunch there since much of the wait was dealing with Noah. Noah was completely himself. He sat in the booth next to me and not in the high chair. He was very excited about that. The place mat had all kinds of activities for Evan and he spent much of the meal doing the puzzles and mazes.

After naps, a girl came over who is going to help take care of the boys this week. She's the 22-year-old daughter of one of Papa's friends. The boys were shy with her.

For dinner, Papa and Grandma took Evan and Noah to Alborz. It's a Middle Eastern-type restaurant. They met Aunt Susan. Every weekend night they have a belly dancer. When the belly dancer came out, apparently Evan's mouth dropped open and his eyes got big. Noah began to point and say "wow" over and over again. He kept saying "Papa, look" and pointing to the dancer. Any new person that walked into the restaurant, Noah would get their attention and then point to the belly dancer and tell them to look. They said he must have said "wow" about 50 times. Everyone was really laughing and the belly dancer played it up. She came over and danced for them and really gave them a lot of attention.

Meanwhile, Rachel and I went to the movies and saw "Up in the Air". I really liked it. Rachel said she enjoyed it. For dinner, we went to Satellite Bistro.

When we got home, Evan was still up. I went in to kiss him good night and he some how kept me in there for about 15 minutes. He's very good at that. We also were able to see Noah and make sure he was ok.

Until next time...
