No Playoffs

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

At 7:30 this morning, Evan came into my room asking me where his pacifier was. I took him back to his room and got it for him. He stayed in bed for another 30 minutes or so and came back in. He got his own breakfast, I set him up watching Toy Story and then Aunt Jen came in to sit with him and play some.

Rachel was feeling very nauseous today and light-headed. She has a fever tonight but it seems that the neulasta shot gives her a fever two days after receiving it. In the past, the fever has been gone by Monday. We'll keep an eye on it though.

I came downstairs later in the morning. Noah wanted to watch Cars, so I put it on and all of us, including Aunt Jen and Uncle Mike watched it. I think Noah fell asleep in my arms for a bit although I couldn't see his face. He seemed to be breathing deeply and was very still anyway. It was very cute.

At noon the Steelers game came on. When the Steelers scored early, Evan ran and got his Terrible Towel. They watched the whole first half with me and a bit into the 3rd quarter before going down for naps.

The Steelers needed to win and have several teams lose. Unfortunately, those other things didn't happen and now the Steelers did not make the playoffs. It's very disappointing, especially after winning the Super Bowl 11 months ago.

Rachel needed me to run and pick up some medication that HEB had forgotten to give to use before. When I came home Evan got up from his nap. The first thing he asked was if the Steelers had won. I think I've taught him well.

Aunt Jen got dinner for the boys while Uncle Mike went to Freebirds to pick up dinner for the adults. While the adults ate, Sesame Street was playing. But Noah was enjoying taking the foil from our burritos and throwing it out. He'd say "trash, trash" and then get our trash from us and walk over to the trash can and throw it out and then cheer. It was hilarious. He has the best smile.

After dinner, Uncle Mike and I gave the boys baths. Aunt Jen helped get Noah dressed and undressed. They really have been a huge help these past few days. They are actually out picking up some groceries at HEB right now.

Evan swore he'd stay in bed tonight. We'll see if he keeps his promise.

Until next time...
