Hanging out with Kevin and Yenis & Dinner at the Podber's

Today we had plans to meet Yenis and Kevin at the park, but Yenis called and said she got a last minute casting call. She asked if we wanted to go with her (it would just be 15 min.) and then we could get coffee after and the place next door. We met at Yenis and Kevin’s house around 10:30 and then went to her 11:30 casting call downtown. It didn’t take too long. We walked over to the coffee shop next door. It was a real Austiny place. There were tons of people on their laptops and many looked like the artsy type if you know what I mean. The boys shared a muffin and had some of Yenis’s Jarritos (Mexican fizzy fruity drink) in their own cups. Evan had red all around his mouth. Afterwards, we went to the park near Yenis and Kevin’s house for just a little bit.

On the way home Evan said he wanted pizza for lunch. I made him pizza, he took one bite, but didn’t eat the rest. For lunch he ended up having edamame, pickles, and sting cheese. Noah had a ton of cereal and a whole container of squash.

We went over to the Podber’s tonight for Yom Kippur. Alissa made matzoh ball soup, lasagna, garlic bread, broccoli kugel, and brownies. We brought some veggies, apples, and cake. It was a nice dinner and all the kids were really good. Evan had a great time playing with the Geo Tracks. That’s mostly what he did the whole night.
