Grandmom

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Marilyn/Grandmom came in last night. She landed around 9:45pm and we got back to the house around 10:30pm. Noah was still up. We let him come down to see Grandmom and he played with her iPad for a few minutes. I brought him upstairs and he went right to sleep.

This morning, Evan got up and came in our room and Rachel turned on the tv in the gameroom for him. Shortly afterward, Grandmom came out of her room to go to the bathroom. Evan saw that and wouldn't let her go back to bed. He took her in his room and showed her stuff.

Noah got up and I came out of the room a little while later. All of us went downstairs and had some breakfast.

Rachel got a deal at a salon using Twitter for a Brazilian Blowout. Her appointment was for 11 so Rachel couldn't have lunch with us. Grandmom, Evan, Noah and I went to Steak 'n Shake. We've had success taking the boys there in the past because it's so kid friendly. The kids were mostly good but then decided they didn't want to eat their food. Noah ended up eating his on the way home.

We were going to go to Target after lunch, but both boys seemed cranky. We decided to just go straight home.

We put Noah down for a nap. He didn't go to sleep initially, but Grandmom laid down with him and they both napped. Evan and I played with the iPad. We also watched the Texas football game against Rice.

For dinner, we went to Evangeline Cafe. Noah ate some sausage and Evan had shrimp.

We came home and Grandmom babysat while Rachel and I went out for dessert to listen to some music. We had dessert downtown at the Melting Pot. Then we walked over to a bar called The Elephant Room. A salsa band called the Brew was playing there. Rachel was a groupie at one time. She still knows the guys in the band. When we got to the Elephant Room, they weren't letting people in. They said they had reached the fire limit for number of people. After about 20 minutes we got in and listened to the band. There was no dance floor so the band played real low-key music. It was nice listening to them and Rachel and I sat and talked.

Grandmom was able to get the boys to go to sleep and she was in bed herself when we returned.

Until next time...
