Busy Day

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning, Rachel got up early to go running with some other mothers. She's been doing that the last few Saturdays. This week they ran nearly 7 miles. Rachel said she felt good and actually felt like she could have gone longer.

The boys came in my room close to 9am. We came downstairs and they wanted instant oatmeal because that's what I was going to have. They both ate theirs.

At 10:30, Gabby came over. Rachel and I wanted to go out on a date this weekend and this was the time that Gabby was available. We went out and saw the movie, The Switch. Then we went to lunch using a deal we got at The Lunch Deal for Gumbo's of Lake Travis. The food was very good and it was nice to get away.

Right before we came home, we stopped at Best Buy to get a new alarm clock for our room. We have an iHome and we hate it. It constantly changes time and as of today was close to 17 minutes fast. We keep changing it back only to have it change on us. It was bright and it shone in my face while I tried to sleep. And we didn't use it for our iPod. I got an inexpensive clock because I didn't need a lot fancy features, one that wasn't too dim, and one that had multiple alarms.

We came home and Noah was napping. I was impressed that Gabby got him to sleep.

For dinner, we met a friend of mine from work at the Salt Lick. He has a little 3-year-old girl and a baby that is 5 and half months. They have picnic tables at the Salt Lick so we just made to-go orders and ate there and let the kids run around. A band was playing as well, so it was nice. Another family, a friend of theirs, also was there and they had two boys. All the kids interacted a little bit, but not too much.

For those of you who haven't gotten to experience this, Evan hums the Star Wars theme pretty much 24/7. I think it's gotten to the point he doesn't know he's doing it. But he told Rachel he wanted the Star Wars music to listen to before he goes to bed. I remembered that in college, my mom sent me the soundtrack to Star Wars. I was able to find it tonight and I put it in Evan's CD player. When we put him to bed, he was just standing right at the CD player listening to the Star Wars music. It was funny.

The boys are quiet but I doubt they are sleeping.
