'Highly Intelligent'

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Last night, at around 4am, I was awakened by thunder. My first reaction was "uh-oh". I know that Evan is scared of lightning and thunder, particularly lightning. I hoped that Evan wouldn't hear or see it. However, about 20 seconds later, I heard Evan start to cry and scream for me. I went into his room and he insisted on coming into our bed. I agreed after seeing how scared he was. However, he also somehow kept managing to sleep in the middle of my pillow and that made it so I had just the edge of the bed to sleep on. When I woke up my shoulder was killing me because I must have been putting all my weight on it.

Once we all got up, we decided to go over to PetCo. They were having a "Dog IQ test". We weren't quite sure what it was, but it was free. The boys love going to PetCo, we needed to get food for Lizzy and we figured Lizzy would enjoy going too. Well, Lizzy scored a 26 out of 28 labeling her "Highly Intelligent". I was very proud. They had a bunch of tests like putting treats under an open can to see how long it would take Lizzy to knock the can over. They also put treats under a dish towel. They put a towel over her head to see how long it took her to get it off. There some other similar type tests including two that I participated in. Obviously she passed with flying colors. They took a picture of all of us that you can see below. Evan insisted on wearing his Steelers helmet while were there.

After PetCo, we ran into Babies 'R Us very quickly. We wanted to get some stuff to stop Noah from getting into the fridge and the cabinet that's under the TV. We also got a new thing to stop Evan from getting into the office downstairs. I am happy to say all of these things worked. Noah got upset, but it helps us out.

When we got home, Rachel gave the boys lunch. Then we put the boys down for a nap.

For dinner, we went downtown to the Spaghetti Warehouse. Rachel had a coupon for a free entree with the purchase of one. It has been really raining hard so we thought that downtown may be empty and we could find a parking spot. Sure enough, as we were pulling up, someone was leaving from right in front. If you remember, there is a Seinfeld episode where they are at hospital visiting friends that had a baby. George keeps looking out of the window because he got a spot right in front. He keeps commenting about how great that spot is. All of a sudden a psych patient jumps off of the roof of the hospital to commit suicide and lands on George's car. Because of that episode, whenever I get a spot that good, I always look up to make sure there is no one on the roof.

Both boys were well behaved at the Spaghetti Warehouse. We ate on the trolley that they have in there. At one point a father and his two kids, one a boy, came on the trolley to see it. The father looked at us and pointed as his son and said "he loves trains." We laughed because we had done that exact thing one time when we went there and couldn't eat on the trolley.

The boys are supposed to be in bed now, but Evan is on the stairs now complaining that Noah threw his pacifiers out of his crib. I'll have to put him back to bed soon.

Until next time...

Noah, with the Fanta all over himself on Thursday night.
