Evan’s School and Tutoring

Evan was not very pleasant this morning. I tried to give him choices, but he was still being difficult. For example, we needed to go to school and I asked if he wanted to pick out his clothes or if he wanted me to. He just said, “No!” So I picked the clothes. Then, I asked if he wanted to get dressed by himself or with my help. He didn’t want either. I had to hold him down with my legs while getting him dressed. Each time I put on an article of clothing he would try to pull it off. I was faster at putting the clothes on than him taking them off, so I managed to get him dressed.

When we parked at school he wouldn’t get out of the car. I had my hands full with Noah and Evan’s lunch and water. I had to pull Evan out of the car and tuck him under my arm to get him into school. Somehow I managed to get everyone and everything across the parking lot. As I got to the door one of the moms offered to help. She walked Evan in holding his hand. I was so glad to drop him off.

Noah and I stayed home this morning. We had some energy person come by to evaluate our house to suggest ways to save money on bills. It was a free service, but of course they offer their products for sale. He said our house looked pretty good and seemed well insulated. He had a few suggestions. Some big (getting Energy Star appliances) and some smaller (putting window tint on the sunny windows).

Noah and I ate lunch and then picked up Evan.

As soon as we got home I put them both down for naps. They slept well.

Blanca came at 4:00, so that I could go tutor. I had 4 students today.

Morry and the boys at pasta for dinner while I was gone.

When I got home, Evan and Noah were in Noah’s room and ready for bed, though both were still up. I still hear some noise in Noah’s room, but it seems to be quieting down.
