Rainy Sunday

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning, Evan came in the room at about 7:30. I got him breakfast and set him up watching the Clone Wars on TV. A short while later he came back in the room. Neither Rachel nor I would come out with him and he ended up laying down on the floor and falling asleep. When Grandma and Papa got up, he went downstairs with him, while Rachel and I stayed in bed for a bit trying to catch up on some sleep.

Grandma and Papa went back to Dallas as I was making lunch. For lunch, I made us pancakes. For Evan and Rachel I made blueberry pancakes although Evan finished all his blueberry pancakes and wanted some plain pancakes. Evan actually ate more pancakes than Rachel. I gave Noah a half of a pancake. Instead of syrup I put on powdered sugar. Noah just ate all the powdered sugar off of the pancakes.

After lunch, we had Evan read a set of words and phrases that Zayde had put together for Evan. You can see the video if you scroll to the bottom of this blog. Evan is doing very well at reading. We'll have to work with him even more.

Noah took a good nap but Evan didn't sleep that long. He came downstairs and made us watch a Superman cartoon over and over. We shared some tortilla chips.

For dinner, Rachel had some leftovers while I made dirty rice for Evan, Noah and me. Evan got upset because there was meat in the dirty rice. I explained to him that's what made the rice dirty. He ended up making me pick out the meat for him. He did eat the rice though. Noah had some. Noah also ate a hot dog while Evan ate some leftover shrimp that I had made for him last night.

We gave the boys baths and put them back in separate rooms. Evan was not well behaved last night so we told him he had to go back in his room. Neither boy was happy. We'll see how they behave tonight.
