The Hammer

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Rachel was supposed to tutor this morning.  But we slept/laid in bed until she needed to get up to get ready.  The boys went downstairs and played with the Wii.  As Rachel was getting ready, her phone rang.  Her tutoring got canceled.

We took it easy until it was time for Evan to eat and get ready for his baseball game.  Noah continued to play the Wii while I got stuff ready for Evan and me.  He ate his lunch and I took him over to the game.

Rachel and Noah got to Evan's game before it started but Noah was in a really bad mood.  Rachel ended up just taking him home before Evan's game started.

For the last few weeks, Evan has been really hitting the ball well during practice and batting practice.  It hasn't completely translated to the games.  He'll have a really hard hit here and there but nothing as consistent as practice. That changed last Sunday and continued today.  He was hitting the ball with such authority today.  He ended up 3-for-3 with three doubles.  One of the balls was hit to deep left field.  He wasn't running as fast as he should have.  He could have ended up with a triple.  But his best play was when he was playing left centerfield.  A kid hit the ball hard and it bounced off the fence on the fly.  Evan played it perfectly off the fence and turned and threw it in to second holding the boy to a single.  It was a big play as the Evan's team ended up winning by one run.

From there we came home, got ready really quick and then picked up Jack.  The Round Rock Express were having Oak Hill Baseball Night at the stadium.  All the kids participated in a parade on the field prior to the game.  We met up with a bunch of Evan's teammates.  The only players from Noah's team were Noah and Jack.  They were all being silly before the parade.  They were on the jumbotron a few times.

We got home and put the boys to bed.

Until next time...
