Rain...And Lots of It

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

They had been predicting rain for today.  We weren't sure if we could trust the weathermen.  Noah was supposed to have practice and Evan had a game after Noah's practice.  I was wondering if they would get cancelled or not.  When I came downstairs with Evan this morning, it wasn't raining.  As I picked up my cell phone 15 minutes later to check to see the chance of rain, I heard it start to rain.  I rushed Evan through breakfast so I could drive him to the front of the school and park before the big line of cars came.  He did well and I walked him into school.

When I got back home, the rain stopped.  We actually saw some sun break through parts of today.

Noah slept in until after 10am.  He was up late last night.  When he got up, Rachel gave him some food and then they went to Target to get some things.

Cole came over when they got home and was here until just before Rachel had to leave to get Evan.

Around 4pm, the sky got really dark.  We checked the weather and they said there was baseball size hail northwest of Austin and that it was moving towards Austin.  Shortly thereafter, we got an email saying Noah's practice was cancelled.  Since they hadn't yet cancelled Evan's game, I gave the boys dinner around 5.  Just as they started to eat, it started to rain hard. There was quite a bit of water in the streets.  The torrential downpour lasted about an hour.  Eventually Evan's game was cancelled but they waited longer than I would have assumed to cancel it.

Rachel had to tutor at 6:45 so she left the house around 6:15 when the rain had died down.  The boys and I played Super Mario Brothers.  Then Evan did his reading homework and I put the boys to bed.

They are not asleep but they are in their room.

Until next time...
