Spy Kids

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Rachel had scheduled a tutoring session with a student at noon. Since Rachel was going to be gone, I thought I'd take the boys to see a movie. Evan told me that he wanted to see Spy Kids because the commercial made it look like "awesome sauce".

We left the house around 10:15am. I let the boys pretend to play on the video games before we got popcorn and went into the theater. The movie was incredibly stupid. It was not for adults at all. The boys seemed to really enjoy it though. Afterwards, Evan told me he wanted to buy the DVD.

On the way home, we stopped at Boone Elementary school. They had registration going on for the fall season of Little League. Evan wants to play both football and baseball. So I signed him up for baseball.

When we got home, the boys ate and Rachel and I worked on our computers.

For dinner we went to Mongolian Barbecue. Evan has been asking to go. He insisted he'd eat there this time. The last two times we went he didn't eat the food we got him. He ate more this time, but not that well. Noah didn't eat much at all. They both liked being downtown though.

When we pulled into the garage, we heard a woman trying to get our attention. There was a couple who were pushing to girls in a double stroller. She told us they were our new neighbors and wanted to get to know us. We went outside and talked to them. They were from Cleveland by way of Chicago and then Cedar Park (a northern suburb of Austin). He told me he was a Browns fan. I expressed sympathy. Their girls were 2 and 4. All four kids played together. At first Noah, was just playing with sidewalk chalk while Evan and the two girls played hide and seek. Then they all played together with sidewalk chalk. Noah somehow became a smurf. His legs and arms were completely blue. He also had taken off his shirt so his stomach was slightly blue too.

After talking with them, we went inside and gave the kids baths.

They are now in their rooms. Until next time...
