Shrinky Dinks

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Today, Rachel didn't have any plans with the boys. First she went for a run with Lizzy and the boys. It's really hot out so she went for a shorter run. We're a bit worried about Lizzy in the heat. Evan actually told her it was too hot to run. He had wanted to go to the park, but Rachel told him it was too hot. He then said well it must be too hot for a run then.

After the run, Rachel went to the gym for a bit. School is still out of session so Rachel said the childcare was crowded. Especially crowded with older kids. They were having some kind of basketball lessons for the kids. Evan told me he didn't need help, that he did well.

When Rachel got home, Noah was really cranky, so she put him down for a nap and Evan ate lunch.

I got home and Noah and Rachel were still napping. Evan found Shrinky Dinks that my mom, Grandmom, had gotten for me a few years ago. I showed him how to color them and then we cut it out and watched it shrink. He really enjoyed it.

Years ago, for those of you who don't know, there was a glow-in-the-dark Shrinky Dink episode with my mom and me. She insisted on returning them in front of me while I threw a fit. I have never had glow-in-the-dark Shrinky Dinks. If you want to know what they are, here is a video:

I made pasta for dinner as Rachel went out with mothers from the Mom's Club to see Eat, Pray, Love. No thank you.

After dinner, Evan and Noah colored more Shrinky Dinks. They then played some and watched the old 60's Batman movie. It was a throw-back night.

They are in bed now.

Until next time...
