Valentine's Day Party

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Last night, Noah was up twice - at 1:30 and 5:30. Evan got up at 3:30 and wanted me to help him find his pacifier.

This morning, I left for work around 7:15. I got Rachel up because she had to take Noah's to the home day care that he's been to a bit and Evan to school and then get to a gall bladder exam by 9:30. Evan gave her a hard time and wouldn't get dressed. Rachel ended up bringing him to school in his pajamas and changing him in the car once they got there.

Luckily, she was able to get to the exam right on time. The good news is that she already received the results, late this afternoon and everything is all clear.

Today was the Valentine's Day party at Evan's class. Both Rachel and I went to it. Rachel came from her exam and I came from work. Evan was very excited to have us there. He's funny because I know he cleans up after himself at lunch. But as soon as we get there, he wants us to clean up for him. We don't though. He was very hyper once we got there and was jumping around. It's just amazing to see him because he's getting so big and he's just a kid now. He's definitely not a toddler anymore. It was also nice because he's just so happy. First the teacher gave each child a box of candy hearts. They dumped them onto a place mat and then she had them make towers out of them. She then asked them to make a pile of 10. They were allowed to eat those 10 and then put the rest back in the box. She came around and wrote their names on the their box. Evan insisted that she write "Buzz" and not "Evan". After that they had cupcakes and then they exchanged valentines.

Rachel took Evan to pick Noah up and then brought them home. I went back to work.

When I got home Evan was coming down the stairs to see me. He was in a very good mood. I showed him the new Toy Story 3 trailer that was released yesterday. I guess at some point Woody ends up on a train. It's like the perfect movie for Evan. Put the Toy Story characters on a train. If they only added Batman and Superman playing baseball or football, you'd get all of Evan's interests.

Evan and I went up and got Noah and we came downstairs and I made them dinner. Tonight was my work Christmas party...in February. Due to inclement weather it was postponed twice. Tonight ended up being the worst weather of all, but they couldn't postpone it again. Rachel got ready for the party while I fed the boys. Then I went up and got ready.

Blanca came over at 6:45 and we went to the party. It was a good time. Many people came up to me to tell me how good Rachel looked. She's really looking healthy. I think people were impressed.

When we got home, at 10, guess who greeted us almost at the gate? I'll give you a hint. His name begins with an 'E' and ends with an 'N' with a 'V' and an 'A' in between. I put him back to bed. We'll see if he stays.

Until next time...
