Aunt Diane and Susie

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning, Evan got up at 5 something. His comforter was on the floor and he wanted me to fix it. Then Noah lost his pacifiers but Rachel got up with him. The good thing was that Evan ended up sleeping until 9am. This is the first weekend in a while that he was able to do that.

We were going to start a free trial at a gym here but the boys were both coughing. I don't know if they have colds (again) or whether it's allergies. The cedar is very high in Austin right now and the allergies are terrible. Just in case, though, we decided not to go to the gym. We didn't want the boys making all the other kids sick in the child care. So we decided to walk around a shopping center near us.

After we finished the walk, we got smoothies at the Smoothie King. The boys enjoyed their smoothies.

When we got home, we made lunch. Evan ate very well, although it took him forever. I think he was eating for nearly an hour. We put the boys down for a nap without incident.

Tonight, Aunt Diane offered to babysit. I think she had a lot of fun taking care of the boys back in November. This time she brought Susie along with her. They got here at 5:30 and we woke up the boys. Noah loved the extra attention and didn't get cranky like he normally does after a nap. They brought Wendy's for the boys. Noah ate his very quickly.

We went out to a place called Gumbo's. It's a fancy Cajun place here in Austin. It was very good and we enjoyed ourselves. Rachel got a shrimp thing and I got a blackened steak. After that we had dessert at a coffee shop called Halcyon.

Meanwhile, Evan and Noah had a very good time with Aunt Diane and Susie. They raved about how well-behaved the boys were. Aunt Diane brought all kinds of activities, play dough, pictures she had printed out to color - including Toy Story pictures. They watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs too. And they gave the boys baths. Aunt Diane was very impressed with Noah's vocabulary. He really speaks very well.

We didn't stay out late. We got an early start and both of us are tired.

When we got home, Evan was still up, of course. I think he was glad he got to see us before he fell asleep. He's in bed now. Noah seems to be quiet.

Until next time...
