The Movies

The Movies

This morning we met Alissa, Ben, and Molly at the movie theater. We wanted to go see Monsters and Aliens in 3D. It was playing at the IMAX, but it was really expensive. It we bought the tickets online it would have been $14 per person. At the AMC near us, all morning weekend movies are $5. They didn’t have the movie in 3D, but we thought the kids probably wouldn’t keep the glasses on anyway. Before the movie started we let the kids play in the hallway where the video games are. The games were not on, but they still had a good time playing. We waited until the last minute to sit down in the theater. Noah was cranky about the first ¼ of the movie. We got a free popcorn from our frequent movie watcher card. I’m not sure how that happened since we don’t go to the movies often. Anyway, I was eating some and Noah started doing the more sign. I broke up little pieces and he was eating the pieces out of my hand. Morry said it looked really funny because Noah was reclined on my lap with his belly hanging out eating popcorn.

Finally, Noah went over to Morry and fell asleep. Evan was great. He sat in his seat the whole time and seemed to be really in to the movie. After the movie the kids played a little longer by the video games and then we went home.

We put Evan and Noah down for naps. Evan slept, but Noah did not.

For dinner we made cheesy foldovers and rice. We ate dinner outside.

We cleaned up and went for a walk. We walked and Evan rode his bike around the block. We didn’t walk far since it was getting late and the boys needed baths.

At home we gave the boys baths. After the bath Evan sat on the potty for a while I read to him, but he didn’t do anything. He has only peed once in the potty. He still doesn’t seem very interested in potty training. We think after his birthday we might start trying more.

Well, both boys are in bed and it seems quiet.
