Valencia

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

This morning the boys got up and went downstairs to play on the Wii.  Rachel got up and went for a run.  When she got home we got lunch ready for the boys.  The boys ate while Rachel cleaned up.

We had to get going to San Antonio for Jonah's daughter's, Valencia, birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  Aunt Susan came to our house at noon so we could get going.  We left a bit later than we had planned as we were getting food for ourselves, but we knew it wouldn't take us as long as Google Maps said.

On the way down, Evan was seeing license plates all over the place.  I think we saw 13 or 14 different state license plates on the way down.  We've been doing this since our trip.  The only two states we never found were Hawaii and South Dakota.

The party itself was nice.  It was a nice, new, clean Chuck E. Cheese.  They gave the boys tokens.  They had a football game and a baseball game.  The football game you had to throw as many footballs in one of three holes in 2 minutes.  The higher the whole the higher the points.  The baseball game was similar but with baseballs.  Evan played with those almost exclusively.  He loved it.  Noah played a really cool bowling.  Evan ended up playing with that as well.  They had pizza and cake for the kids.

On the way home as we were driving back to I-35, we heard Evan yell "It's Hawaii! There's Hawaii!"  We looked in the other lane and a Kia Sedona minivan was passing us with a Hawaii license plate.  We all started to laugh as Evan screamed at the top of his lungs with such excitement, "I found Hawaii! I found Hawaii!"  I ended up getting behind it so Rachel could try to take a picture.  I hope we didn't scare them.

When we got home, Evan wanted to show Aunt Susan how he could play baseball.  I had a catch with Noah and Evan out front while Aunt Susan watched.  She was impressed with how well they played.  Evan and Noah then went out back.  Evan came in after a bit to tell me that he was "working with" Noah to get better at fielding. Evan stayed outside for another hour playing baseball until dinner time.  When he came back in he was dripping with sweat.  After dinner, he wanted to go back out again but it was bed time.

For dinner, I made two pizzas.

The boys are now in bed.

Until next time...
