Really Busy Weekend

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Yesterday, each boy had a flag football game, a camp reunion picnic for Camp Kesem, and Evan had two baseball games.  Evan, Noah, and I left the house a little after 10.  Noah had warmups and then his game.  He played well.  He got a handoff on the first series and beat everyone except for one boy who was able to force him out of bounds.  Noah had another good run and a good flag pull as well.  Noah's team lost on the last play of the game.

Evan's game was right afterwards.  He played very well, catching 5 or 6 passes including an extra point.  He also played good defense when he was in on defense.  His team though, didn't play well and they lost.

The picnic was fun.  Evan got to see his favorite counselor and stayed with him most of the time.  They played some football.  Noah seemed to have fun, though none of his counselors were there.

From there, Rachel and Noah went home, and Evan and I drove an hour north to Taylor for Evan's games.  Evan's team lost both games but Evan played extremely well.  They decided to try him out at catcher.  Evan threw the first kid out who tried to steal on him (the play was at third) and he did very well.  His coaches said he had "natural ability" at catcher and they plan to use him there more in the future.   Evan had two hits in the second game and he pitched well.  He faced four batters, struck out one, and only threw 2 balls - the rest were strikes.

We got home after 11pm and Evan finally got to bed just before midnight.

We had to leave this morning around 7:30 for his game.  We stopped at Donut Taco Palace on the way.

Rachel and Noah were able to come up for this game.

Evan played almost the entire game at third base.  He didn't get a hit today and his team lost.  In general, though, he looked pretty good.  His at-bats, even when he doesn't get hits, look much better.

Rachel went to HEB before coming home.  I stopped with the boys at Subway for lunch.

In the afternoon, we watched the Steelers.

Evan took a break from the game and rode his bike 7.5 miles with Papa.  Apparently, he didn't have enough physical activity this weekend.

Then we ordered Papa John's and watched Timeless.

The boys are in bed now.

Until next time...
