No Baseball...Then Baseball

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Yesterday we went to San Antonio to celebrate Tegan's fourth birthday at Chuck E Cheese.  We left the house shortly after 11 and went down.  The boys enjoyed playing with the games and then Evan ate 6 entire pieces of pizza (crust included).  He did not have any cake.

Evan had been wanting to go to the Alamo.  We were 20 minutes away so we drove down and parked and walked around the Alamo.  It's free to tour.  There were two buildings in the complex you walk through.  The first - the church - was dedicated entirely to guns and weapons of the time period.  Two guys were giving demonstrations.  We literally had to pull the boys away so we could keep going after about 15 minutes of watching this.  In the second building, the Long Barracks, we watched a movie about the Alamo.

We then went to the Riverwalk and ate at the Rain Forest Cafe.  The boys really enjoyed it.

This morning Evan was scheduled to have a scrimmage for baseball.  Unfortunately, around 5am the rain, thunder and lightening came and washed out the scrimmage.  The rain lasted until about 11 or 11:30.

Before lunch, the boys wanted to sew.  Evan learned how to sew in art class and Noah wanted to learn.  So Rachel sat down and worked with the boys.

By 1pm it was bright and sunny (and hot and humid).

Rachel, Evan and I went to look at three open houses for Grandma and Papa.  Noah stayed at home by himself since we were just in the neighborhood.

When we got home, the boys played a bit and then Evan and I went to baseball practice.  We had it at Evan and Noah's elementary school on the basketball court outside (which is covered).  We were able to get a good practice in.  We weren't able to work on grounders but we worked on just about everything else.  Evan didn't want to leave practice even thought we were there for 2.5 hours.

We had tacos for dinner.

The boys are in their rooms.

Until next time...
