Driving All Over For Baseball

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

Both boys got up early this morning.  They did not care about the extra hour to sleep in.

Noah played Wii in the morning and Evan played Legos upstairs.

At 11:30 left to go to his game at Dripping Springs.  That's a suburb of Austin about 30 minutes from here.  Their little league offered their fields so that we could finish up the season.  Evan's team was without their first baseman who is very good.  Evan started the game at first base.  He only had one chance - he dropped a pop up.   In the bottom of the first, Evan crushed a ball to deep left center for a double.  After that I had to leave.  I had to drive 30 minutes to another town called Manchaca which is where Noah's game was.  Rachel, Zayde and Noah had come out to the fields.  I guess Evan's team got beaten badly.  He was really in a bad mood.  He doesn't like losing.  He said his team didn't take it seriously and that bothered him quite a bit.  He alternated between first base and shortstop.

At Noah's game, there was some confusion early on as another team had shown up to the fields and they weren't playing until after us.  The game went fairly well.  A bunch of the kids played well.  Noah led off the game with a hard hit single.   He made a couple nice throws in the field, including one throw home from the pitching position.

We came home and watched the Steelers play very badly.

For dinner we went to Cypress Grill.  Evan ate a ton of salmon.  When the waiter served it to Evan he told Evan that he didn't think Evan could finish the whole thing.  Evan took the challenge and finished it.

The boys showered and are now in bed.

Until next time...
