Finding Junk

So, here's what we did this weekend.

On Friday, Evan, Morry, Chewie and I tried a new restaurant called Suds Monkey Brewing Co.  It's a pub/pizza place in a warehouse with a big outside eating area.

We had to wait 2 hours for our pizza, but it was really good pizza.  There was also a good live band that we enjoy listening to while we waited.  Chewie got a lot of attention from all of the kids running around.

Saturday was cold and windy.  Evan's baseball team was supposed to have a scrimmage but had to move indoors.  He said he pitched really well.

After that Evan went to Reid's house.

Morry, Noah, and I picked up dinner from Freebirds.

Then, we picked up Evan and Reid and brought them back to our house for the night.

This morning Morry was warning the boys not to leave anything valuable outside this week since it's bulk pickup week.  The boys got really excited because they saw it as an opportunity to get some discarded items from the neighbors for the game room and their rooms.

They spend much of the afternoon walking around the neighborhood. They got a desk chair, a Papasan-like chair, a plastic set of drawers, some huge joystick/button console that looks like part of an old arcade game. They were super excited.

This afternoon Morry and I walked to the new smoothie place that opened in the neighborhood.   My smoothie was a little too sweet and his a little too watery, but we decided we would give them another chance sometime since they just opened.

The boys walked to Dominos and ate an early dinner there.

Morry and I tried to pick up Dan's Hamburgers, but after waiting a while for someone to take our order at the drive-through,  someone told us they were closed for the day.

So, we picked up burgers from P Terry's instead.

Tonight Morry and Evan watched the Steelers game.  Noah played video games, and I worked on lesson plans for school.
