Long Walk, Football and Cheddars

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

We didn't have any commitments today until 3:30.  So we took advantage of that by taking Chewie on a long walk. We walked through the neighborhood to the Slaughter Creek.  We walked along the creek for a while before turning back into the neighborhood and walking home.  It was closed to a 6 miles walk.  We let Chewie go in the creek.  He tried to lay down in the water only to discover how cold the water was on his belly.

I took Evan to his flag football game.  They had practice before the game.  The game was a tough one.  He's in the 7th and 8th grade league and the other team was exclusively 8th graders.  Not just 8th graders but exceptional athletes who are all tall.  Every single kid on the team except for one was taller than me.  Evan split time at QB with another boy.  In his first drive he completed one pass, then an incompletion.  Then a pass that traveled probably 30 yards in the air for a completion.  Then he threw a TD on the next play.  Unfortunately, that ultimately was the only score of the day for his team but he really did play well.

While Evan was playing football, Rachel took Noah to Sunday school.  She came home and got Papa and then went back out to pick Noah up and go to Cheddars.  We met them there after the game and Grandma arrived a few minutes later.  Rachel had gotten another free meal from Cheddars in exchange for a blog post.  We ate so much and we're all quite full.  But it was good.

We're home now and the kids are getting ready for bed.

Until next time...
