Baseball and Tennis

Hello everyone, this is Morry.

It was 36 degrees and a bit wet this morning but today was the final ride-or-walk-to-school day.  Evan wanted to ride his bike though.  Rachel, Noah and I drove.

I had to run out this morning for a meeting so I left shortly after returning.

By the afternoon, it had warmed up and the sun had finally come out.  We walked to pick up the boys.  This was Lizzy's first time walking this week so she was very happy.

Noah had his first tennis lesson today.  We were going to do it next week, but Rachel's tutoring got cancelled so she could take him.  The instructor kind of remembered Noah.  Rachel said Noah seemed to enjoy himself.  Rachel was up against the fence trying to take a picture of Noah hitting the ball when Noah ended up hitting it a bit too hard and it sailed over the fence hitting Rachel in the head.  Noah thought that was very funny.

While Noah was at tennis, I took Evan for some private batting lessons.  He hit for about 45 minutes and then pitched for the last 15 minutes.  He did well.  When he kept his hands at the spot where the instructor wanted him to have them, he would crush the ball.  The instructor was really teaching him advanced hitting.  He was talking to him about how he should swing with various counts.  For example, how he should change his swing slightly if the count was 0-2.  Evan seemed to enjoy it.  He seemed to get a lot out of the lesson.

For dinner we had left over corned beef.

Noah is now reading with Rachel.

Until next time...
