End of Spring Baseball, Noah's New Teeth, Prom

Here's what's been going on the last few weeks.

Evan's spring baseball ended.  He got MVP for the varsity team!  Here's what Morry wrote about him on Facebook.

"Varsity Team MVP as a sophomore. Second youngest on the team. Hit .533 (32-60) on the season, second in innings pitched, first in ERA, first in Ks, led the team in innings caught and runners caught stealing. I haven't posted during the season as I figured I'd wait until the season is over. Unfortunately, though, I am terrible at taking video so I missed quite a few of his bigger hits, but figured I'd upload some of the ones I did get.

The season Evan put together was beyond anything I could have imagined. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and he works his butt off to get better and I couldn't be more proud."

Noah finally got his new fake teeth from the orthodontist.  He was happy about that, but of course, I don't have a picture.  Lately, he hasn't wanted to have his picture taken.

Madison invited Evan to his senior prom.  Evan, Morry, and I went to Philadelphia from a Thursday - Sunday.   On Thursday, we ate at Nifty Fifty's.  Friday, we saw the West Chester University campus and baseball team.  Friday night was the prom.  Saturday we went to Ocean City, NJ.  Sunday, we met Allison and Avery for brunch in downtown Philadelphia.  We all had a nice weekend and Evan really had a great time at prom.

Evan's Birthday, Noah's track and Cap10k, Galveston

Over the last few weeks, we celebrated Evan's 16th birthday at the Round Rock Express game.  Noah is on the track team and ran 300-meter hurdles in a couple of track meets.  Noah also ran the Cap10K with his school group.

Over Easter weekend, we met the Edwards in Galveston and had a fun time.

Photo Dump and Everything in the Last Few Weeks

Over the last few weeks, here's what's been going on.

We pet sat for Miso.

Michael and his family came to visit.  We had a great time celebrating many of the holidays and events we missed throughout the last 2 years.  One of the days we went to Uncle Marvin and Aunt Sandy's house and celebrated birthdays there with a pinata.  One of the days we celebrated Thanksgiving and Morry smoked a turkey.

Spring Break - I had two weeks off and the boys had one.  We stayed at home but still kept busy with all of Evan's baseball games and SXSW.  I went to several events during the first few days of the festival.  Morry and the kids met me on one of the days and we had fun walking around downtown and eating lots of free food.

Noah's birthday - For Noah's birthday today, he chose to walk with Evan to Dominos and HEB for lunch.  For dinner, we went to Kura revolving sushi.

Here are photos from the last few weeks.

In the last few weeks

Here's what's been going on over the last few weeks since I last updated the blog.

Evan and I got Covid.  It wasn't too bad for either of us.  Evan just had a headache one day and an upset stomach for a few days.  I had a dry, scratchy throat, and dry cough, and what felt like allergies.  I just happened to test since there was an outbreak at my school and it turned out I was positive.  So, Morry, Evan, and Noah took home tests and we found out Evan was positive.

Evan stayed home from school for a week and I stayed home from work for a few days.

Morry, Evan, and Noah went to the RBI Austin Fundraiser Event.  Evan and Noah volunteered and got to greet several famous athletes.  Evan was able to talk to one of his favorite players, David Freese, and even got a picture with him!

It got really cold and rainy here.  Everything shut down for 2 days.  The kids' schools completely closed, and my school went virtual.

On one of the days, the boys walked to Domino's pizza and HEB.

Evan started baseball again with the high school ISBL team.

Today, Morry and I took Chewie to a Gold Ribbon Rescue meet-up.  Of course, Chewie had a great time.

Last night Morry and I went out to dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day early.

Here are some pictures over the last few weeks.
